Mark 6
1 And he went out from there and came into his own country, and his disciples followed him.
I wyszedłszy stamtąd, przyszedł w swoje rodzinne strony, a szli za nim jego uczniowie.
2 And when the Sabbath had come, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many hearing him were astonished, saying, "Where did this man get these things?" and, "What is the wisdom that is given to this man, that such mighty works come about by his hands?
A gdy nadszedł szabat, zaczął nauczać w synagodze. Wielu zaś, słuchając [go], zdumiewało się i pytało: Skąd on ma to wszystko? I co to za mądrość, która jest mu dana, że nawet takie cuda dzieją się przez jego ręce?
3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James, Josi, Judas, and Simon? Are not his sisters here with us?" They were offended at him.
Czy to nie jest cieśla, syn Marii, a brat Jakuba, Józefa, Judy i Szymona? Czyż nie ma tu wśród nas także jego sióstr? I gorszyli się z jego powodu.
4 Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and among his own relatives, and in his own house."
Ale Jezus powiedział do nich: [Nigdzie] nie jest prorok bez czci, tylko w swojej ojczyźnie, wśród [swoich] krewnych i w swoim domu.
5 And he could do no mighty work there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick people, and healed them.
I nie mógł tam uczynić żadnego cudu oprócz [tego], że uzdrowił niektórych chorych, kładąc na nich ręce.
6 And he was amazed because of their unbelief. And he went around the villages teaching.
I dziwił się ich niedowiarstwu. Potem obchodził okoliczne wioski, nauczając.
7 And he called to himself the twelve, and began to send them out two by two; and he gave them authority over the unclean spirits.
Wtedy, przywoławszy do siebie dwunastu, zaczął ich rozsyłać po dwóch. Dał im też moc nad duchami nieczystymi.
8 And he commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, except a staff only: no bread, no pack, no money in their belts,
I nakazał im, aby oprócz laski nie brali na drogę niczego: ani torby, ani chleba, ani pieniędzy w trzosie;
9 but to wear sandals, and not to put on two tunics.
Lecz żeby założyli sandały i nie wkładali dwóch szat.
10 And he said to them, "Wherever you enter into a house, stay there until you depart from there.
Potem mówił do nich: Gdziekolwiek wejdziecie do [jakiegoś] domu, zostańcie tam, dopóki stamtąd nie odejdziecie.
11 And if any place will not receive you or listen to you, as you depart from there, shake off the dust that is under your feet for a testimony against them."
A jeśli was ktoś nie przyjmie i nie usłucha, wyszedłszy stamtąd, strząśnijcie pył z waszych nóg na świadectwo [przeciwko] nim. Zaprawdę powiadam wam: Lżej będzie Sodomie i Gomorze w dzień sądu niż temu miastu.
12 So they went out and proclaimed that all should repent.
Wtedy wyszli i głosili, że [ludzie powinni] pokutować.
13 They cast out many demons, and anointed many with oil who were sick, and healed them.
I wypędzali wiele demonów, i wielu chorych namaszczali olejkiem, i uzdrawiali.
14 King Herod heard this, for his name had become known, and he said, "John the Baptist has risen from the dead, and therefore these powers are at work in him."
I usłyszał o nim król Herod (bo jego imię się rozsławiło), i powiedział: Jan Chrzciciel zmartwychwstał, dlatego cuda dokonują się przez niego.
15 But others said, "He is Elijah." Others said, "He is a prophet, like one of the prophets."
[A] inni mówili: To Eliasz; jeszcze inni mówili: To prorok albo [ktoś] jak jeden z proroków.
16 But Herod, when he heard this, said, "This is John, whom I beheaded. He has risen."
Gdy Herod o tym usłyszał, powiedział: To Jan, którego ściąłem. On zmartwychwstał.
17 For Herod himself had sent out and arrested John, and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife, for he had married her.
Sam Herod bowiem kazał schwytać Jana i wtrącić go do więzienia z powodu Herodiady, żony swego brata Filipa, gdyż pojął ją za żonę.
18 For John said to Herod, "It is not lawful for you to have your brother's wife."
Bo Jan mówił Herodowi: Nie wolno ci mieć żony swego brata.
19 So Herodias set herself against him, and desired to kill him, but she could not,
A Herodiada zawzięła się na niego i chciała go zabić, ale nie mogła.
20 for Herod feared John, knowing that he was a righteous and holy man, and kept him safe. And when he heard him, he was very perplexed, but he heard him gladly.
Herod bowiem obawiał się Jana, wiedząc, że jest człowiekiem sprawiedliwym i świętym, i miał wzgląd na niego, a słuchając go, wiele czynił; i chętnie go słuchał.
21 And then a convenient day came, that Herod on his birthday gave a supper for his nobles, the high officers, and the leaders of Galilee.
A gdy nadeszła odpowiednia chwila, Herod, obchodząc dzień swoich urodzin, wyprawił ucztę dla swoich dostojników, dowódców wojskowych i znakomitości z Galilei.
22 And when the daughter of Herodias herself came in and danced, she pleased Herod and those sitting with him. The king said to the young woman, "Ask me whatever you want, and I will give it to you."
Kiedy córka tej Herodiady weszła i tańczyła, spodobała się Herodowi i współbiesiadnikom. [Wtedy] król powiedział do dziewczyny: Proś mnie, o co chcesz, a dam ci.
23 And he swore to her, "Whatever you ask me, I will give you, up to half of my kingdom."
I przysiągł jej: O cokolwiek mnie poprosisz, dam ci, aż do połowy mego królestwa.
24 So she went out, and said to her mother, "What should I ask?" And she said, "The head of John the baptizer."
Ona więc wyszła i zapytała swoją matkę: O co mam prosić? A ta odpowiedziała: O głowę Jana Chrzciciela.
25 And she came in immediately with haste to the king, and asked, "I want you to give me right now the head of John the Baptist on a platter."
Natychmiast też weszła z pośpiechem do króla i prosiła: Chcę, żebyś mi zaraz dał na misie głowę Jana Chrzciciela.
26 And the king was exceedingly sorry, but for the sake of his oaths, and those reclining, he did not wish to refuse her.
I zasmucił się król bardzo, jednak ze względu na przysięgę i współbiesiadników nie chciał jej odmówić.
27 So immediately the king sent out a soldier of his guard, and commanded to bring John's head, and he went and beheaded him in the prison,
Król natychmiast posłał kata i rozkazał przynieść jego głowę. A ten, poszedłszy, ściął go w więzieniu.
28 and brought his head on a platter, and gave it to the young woman; and the young woman gave it to her mother.
Potem przyniósł na misie jego głowę i dał ją dziewczynie, a dziewczyna dała ją swojej matce.
29 And when his disciples heard this, they came and took up his corpse, and placed it in a tomb.
Gdy usłyszeli o tym jego uczniowie, przyszli, zabrali jego ciało i złożyli w grobie.
30 Then the apostles gathered themselves together to Jesus, and they told him all things, whatever they had done, and whatever they had taught.
A apostołowie zebrali się u Jezusa i opowiedzieli mu wszystko, co czynili i czego nauczali.
31 And he said to them, "Come away by yourselves to an isolated place, and rest awhile." For there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
I powiedział do nich: Pójdźcie wy na odludne miejsce i odpocznijcie trochę. Wielu bowiem przychodziło i odchodziło, tak że nie mieli wolnego czasu, żeby zjeść.
32 So they went away in the boat to an isolated place by themselves.
I odpłynęli w łodzi na odludne miejsce, [żeby być] na osobności.
33 But they saw them going, and many recognized him and ran there on foot from all the cities and they arrived before them.
A ludzie widzieli, że odpływają. Wielu go poznało i zbiegli się tam pieszo ze wszystkich miast, wyprzedzili ich i zgromadzili się przy nim.
34 And he came out, saw a large crowd, and he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd, and he began to teach them many things.
Kiedy Jezus wyszedł, zobaczył mnóstwo ludzi i ulitował się nad nimi, bo byli jak owce niemające pasterza. I zaczął nauczać ich wielu rzeczy.
35 And when it was late in the day, his disciples came to him, and said, "This place is desolate, and it is late in the day.
A gdy było już późno, jego uczniowie podeszli do niego i powiedzieli: Miejsce to jest puste, a pora już późna.
36 Send them away, that they may go into the surrounding country and villages, and buy themselves something to eat."
Odpraw ich, aby poszli do okolicznych osad i wsi i kupili sobie chleba, bo nie mają co jeść.
37 But he answered them, "You give them something to eat." And they said to him, "Are we to go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread, and give them something to eat?"
Lecz on im odpowiedział: Wy dajcie im jeść. Zapytali go więc: Czy mamy pójść i za dwieście groszy kupić chleba, i dać im jeść?
38 He said to them, "How many loaves do you have? Go see." When they knew, they said, "Five, and two fish."
A on im powiedział: Ile macie chleba? Idźcie i zobaczcie. A oni, dowiedziawszy się, powiedzieli: Pięć i dwie ryby.
39 He commanded them that everyone should sit down in groups on the green grass.
Wtedy kazał im posadzić wszystkich w grupach na zielonej trawie.
40 They sat down in ranks, by hundreds and by fifties.
I usiedli w grupach, po stu i po pięćdziesięciu.
41 He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he blessed and broke the loaves, and he gave to his disciples to set before them, and he divided the two fish among them all.
A wziąwszy te pięć chlebów i dwie ryby, spojrzał w niebo i pobłogosławił. I połamał te chleby i dawał swoim uczniom, aby kładli przed nimi. Także te dwie ryby rozdzielił między wszystkich.
42 They all ate, and were filled.
I jedli wszyscy do syta.
43 They took up twelve baskets full of broken pieces and also of the fish.
I zebrali dwanaście pełnych koszy kawałków i [resztek] z ryb.
44 Those who ate the loaves were five thousand men.
A tych, którzy jedli chleby, było około pięciu tysięcy mężczyzn.
45 And immediately he made his disciples get into the boat, and to go ahead to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he himself was sending the crowd away.
I zaraz przymusił swoich uczniów, aby wsiedli do łodzi i popłynęli przed nim na drugi brzeg w kierunku Betsaidy, a on tymczasem odprawi ludzi.
46 After he had taken leave of them, he went up the mountain to pray.
A gdy ich odprawił, odszedł na górę, aby się modlić.
47 When evening had come, the boat was in the midst of the sea, and he was alone on the land.
Kiedy nastał wieczór, łódź znajdowała się na środku morza, a on [był] sam na lądzie.
48 He saw them distressed in rowing, for the wind was against them. In the watch between three and six in the morning he came to them, walking on the sea, and he would have passed by them,
I widział, że są zmęczeni wiosłowaniem, bo wiatr mieli przeciwny. I tak około czwartej straży nocnej przyszedł do nich, idąc po morzu, i chciał ich wyminąć.
49 but they, when they saw him walking on the sea, supposed that it was a ghost, and began to scream;
Ale oni, ujrzawszy go chodzącego po morzu, myśleli, że to zjawa, i krzyknęli.
50 for they all saw him, and were troubled. But he immediately spoke with them, and said to them, "Cheer up. It is I. Do not be afraid."
Wszyscy bowiem go widzieli i przestraszyli się. Ale on zaraz przemówił do nich tymi słowami: Ufajcie, to ja jestem! Nie bójcie się!
51 And he got into the boat with them, and the wind ceased. And they were completely profusely astonished among themselves;
I wszedł do nich do łodzi, i uciszył się wiatr. A oni się bardzo zdumiewali i dziwili.
52 for they had not understood about the loaves, but their hearts were hardened.
Nie zrozumieli bowiem [cudu] z chlebami, gdyż ich serce było odrętwiałe.
53 When they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret, and moored to the shore.
A przeprawiwszy się, przypłynęli do ziemi Genezaret i przybili [do brzegu].
54 When they had come out of the boat, immediately the people recognized him,
A gdy wyszli z łodzi, [ludzie] zaraz go poznali;
55 and ran around that whole region, and began to bring those who were sick, on their mats, to where they heard he was.
Rozbiegli się po całej tej okolicy i zaczęli przynosić na posłaniach chorych tam, gdzie, jak słyszeli, przebywa.
56 Wherever he entered, into villages, or into cities, or into the country, they placed the sick in the marketplaces, and begged him that they might touch just the fringe of his garment; and everyone who touched him were made well.
A gdziekolwiek wszedł, do wsi, miast czy osad, kładli chorych na ulicach i prosili go, aby [mogli] dotknąć choćby brzegu jego szaty. A wszyscy, którzy go dotknęli, zostali uzdrowieni.
