Mark 12
1 He began to speak to them in parables. "A man planted a vineyard, put a hedge around it, dug a pit for the winepress, built a tower, rented it out to a farmer, and went on a journey.
Então [Jesus] começou a lhes dizer por parábolas: Um homem plantou uma vinha, cercou-a, fundou [nela] uma prensa de uvas, edificou uma torre, e a arrendou a uns lavradores; e partiu-se daquela terra.
2 When it was time, he sent a servant to the farmer to get from the farmer his share of the fruit of the vineyard.
E, quando chegou o tempo, mandou um servo aos lavradores, para que recebesse dos lavradores do fruto da vinha.
3 They took him, beat him, and sent him away empty.
Mas eles, tomando-o à força, feriram-no, e mandaram-no vazio.
4 Again, he sent another servant to them; and they wounded him in the head, and treated him shamefully.
E voltou a lhes mandar outro servo; e eles feriram-no na cabeça e maltrataram-no.
5 And he sent another; and they killed him; and many others, beating some, and killing some.
E voltou a mandar outro, ao qual mataram, e [mandou] muitos outros, e a uns feriram, e a outros mataram.
6 He had one left, a beloved son, he sent him last to them, saying, 'They will respect my son.'
Tendo ele, pois, ainda um, o seu filho amado, mandou-lhes também por último a este, dizendo: Pelo menos respeitarão o meu filho.
7 But those farmers said among themselves, 'This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.'
Mas aqueles lavradores disseram entre si: Este é o herdeiro; vinde, e o matemos; então a herança será nossa.
8 They took him, killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.
E pegando dele, mataram[-no], e lançaram[-no] fora da vinha.
9 What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the farmers, and will give the vineyard to others.
Que, pois, o senhor da vinha fará? Ele virá, destruirá aos lavradores, e dará a vinha a outros.
10 Haven't you even read this Scripture: 'The stone which the builders rejected, the same was made the head of the corner.
Acaso ainda não lestes esta escritura: “A pedra que os edificadores rejeitaram, esta foi feita por cabeça de esquina.
11 This was from the Lord. It is marvelous in our eyes'?"
Pelo Senhor foi feito isto, e é maravilhoso em nossos olhos”?
12 They tried to seize him, but they feared the crowd; for they perceived that he spoke the parable against them. They left him, and went away.
E buscavam prendê-lo, mas temiam a multidão; porque entendiam que era contra eles que dizia aquela parábola; então o deixaram e se retiraram.
13 They sent some of the Pharisees and of the Herodians to him, that they might trap him with words.
E mandaram-lhe alguns dos fariseus e dos herodianos, para que o apanhassem em [alguma] palavra.
14 When they had come, they asked him, "Teacher, we know that you are honest, and do not defer to anyone; for you are not partial to anyone, but truly teach the way of God. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?
Eles se aproximaram e lhe disseram: Mestre, sabemos que és homem de verdade, e não te interessa [agradar] a ninguém, porque não te importas com a aparência humana, mas com verdade ensinas o caminho de Deus. É lícito pagar tributo a César, ou não? Devemos pagar, ou não devemos?
15 Should we pay, or should we not pay?" But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, "Why do you test me? Bring me a denarius, that I may see it."
E ele, entendendo a hipocrisia deles, disse-lhes: Por que estais me tentando? Trazei-me uma moeda, para que eu a veja.
16 They brought it. He said to them, "Whose is this image and inscription?" They said to him, "Caesar's."
E trouxeram. E perguntou-lhes: De quem é esta imagem, e a inscrição? E eles lhe disseram: De César.
17 And Jesus said to them, "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." And they were utterly amazed at him.
Então Jesus, lhes respondeu: Dai, pois, a César o que é de César, e a Deus o que é de Deus. E admiram-se dele.
18 There came to him Sadducees, who say that there is no resurrection. They asked him, saying,
E vieram a ele os saduceus, que dizem não haver ressurreição, e perguntaram-lhe:
19 "Teacher, Moses wrote to us, 'If a man's brother dies, and leaves a wife behind him, and leaves no children, that his brother should take the wife, and raise up offspring for his brother.'
Mestre, Moisés nos escreveu que, se o irmão de alguém morresse, e deixasse mulher, mas não filho, que seu irmão se casasse com a viúva, e gerasse descendência ao seu irmão.
20 There were seven brothers. The first took a wife, and dying left no offspring.
Houve, pois, sete irmãos, e o primeiro casou-se com a mulher, e morrendo, não deixou descendente.
21 The second took her, and died, leaving no children behind him. The third likewise;
Casou-se com ela também o segundo, e morreu; e nem este deixou descendente; e o terceiro da mesma maneira.
22 and the seven left no children. Last of all the woman also died.
Os sete não deixaram descendente. Finalmente, depois de todos, morreu também a mulher.
23 In the resurrection, when they rise, whose wife will she be of them? For the seven had her as a wife."
Na ressurreição, pois, quando ressuscitarem, ela será a mulher de qual deles? Porque os sete a tiveram por mulher.
24 Jesus said to them, "Is not this because you are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God?
E Jesus lhes respondeu: Acaso não é por isso que errais, por não conhecerdes as Escrituras, nem o poder de Deus?
25 For when they will rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.
Pois, quando ressuscitarem dos mortos, nem se casarão, nem se darão em casamento; mas serão como os anjos que estão nos céus.
26 But about the dead, that they are raised; have you not read in the book of Moses, about the bush, how God spoke to him, saying, 'I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'?
E quanto aos mortos que ressuscitarão, não lestes no livro de Moisés, como Deus lhe falou com a sarça, dizendo: Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaque, e o Deus de Jacó?
27 He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are therefore badly mistaken."
Deus não é [Deus] de mortos, mas de vivos. Portanto errais muito.
28 And one of the scribes came, and heard them questioning together. Seeing that he had answered them well, asked him, "Which commandment is the greatest of all?"
Então aproximou-se dele um dos escribas, que os havia ouvido discutir. Como ele sabia que [Jesus] havia lhes respondido bem, perguntou-lhe: Qual é o primeiro mandamento de todos?
29 Jesus answered, "The first is, 'Hear, Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.
E Jesus respondeu: O primeiro é: “Ouve Israel, o Senhor nosso Deus é o único Senhor;
30 And you are to love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.'
amarás, pois, ao Senhor teu Deus com todo o teu coração, com toda a tua alma, com todo o teu entendimento, e com todas as tuas forças.”
31 The second is this, 'You are to love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."
E o segundo é: “Amarás ao teu próximo como a ti mesmo”. Não há outro mandamento maior que estes.
32 The scribe said to him, "Truly, Teacher, you have said well that he is one, and there is none other but he,
E o escriba lhe disse: Muito bem, Mestre, com verdade disseste que ele é um só, e não há outro além dele.
33 and to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is more important than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices."
E que amá-lo com todo o coração, com todo o entendimento, e com todas as forças; e amar ao próximo como a si mesmo, é mais de que todos os holocaustos e sacrifícios.
34 When Jesus saw that he answered wisely, he said to him, "You are not far from the Kingdom of God." No one dared ask him any question after that.
Jesus viu que ele havia respondido sabiamente, e disse-lhe: Não estás longe do Reino de Deus. E ninguém mais ousou lhe perguntar.
35 Jesus responded, as he taught in the temple, "How can the scribes say that the Christ is the son of David?
E Jesus respondia e dizia, enquanto ensinava no templo: Como os escribas dizem que o Cristo é filho de Davi?
36 David himself said in the Holy Spirit, 'The Lord said to my Lord, "Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet."'
O mesmo Davi disse pelo Espírito Santo: Disse o Senhor ao meu Senhor, senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha os teus inimigos debaixo dos teus pés.
37 David himself calls him Lord, so how can he be his son?" The common people heard him gladly.
Ora, [se] o próprio Davi o chama de Senhor, como, pois, é so eu filho? E a grande multidão o ouvia de boa vontade.
38 In his teaching he said to them, "Beware of the scribes, who like to walk in long robes, and to get greetings in the marketplaces,
E dizia em seu ensino: Cuidado com os escribas, que gostam de andar com roupas compridas, das saudações nas praças,
39 and the best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts:
das primeiras cadeiras nas sinagogas, e dos primeiros assentos nas ceias.
40 those who devour widows' houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. These will receive greater condemnation."
que devoram as casas das viúvas, com pretexto de longas orações. Esses receberão mais grave condenação.
41 And he sat down opposite the treasury, and saw how the crowd cast money into the treasury. Many who were rich cast in much.
Quando [Jesus] estava sentado de frente à arca do tesouro, observava como a multidão lançava dinheiro na arca do tesouro; e muitos ricos lançavam muito.
42 A poor widow came, and she cast in two lepta, which equal a kodrantes.
E uma pobre viúva veio, e lançou duas pequenas moedas, de pouco valor.
43 He called his disciples to himself, and said to them, "Truly I tell you, this poor widow gave more than all those who are giving into the treasury,
Então [Jesus] chamou a si os seus discípulos, e disse-lhes: Em verdade vos digo que esta pobre viúva lançou mais que todos os que lançaram na arca do tesouro;
44 for they all gave out of their abundance, but she, out of her poverty, gave all that she had to live on."
Porque todos lançaram daquilo que lhes sobra; mas esta, da sua pobreza lançou tudo o que tinha, todo o seu sustento.
