< Judges 4 >
1 The children of Israel again did that which was evil in the sight of YHWH, when Ehud was dead.
Ekudi bwe yamala okufa Abayisirayiri ne bakola nate ebibi eri Mukama.
2 YHWH sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, who reigned in Hazor; the captain of whose army was Sisera, who lived in Harosheth Haggoyim.
Mukama n’abawaayo mu mikono gya Yabini Kabaka wa Kanani, eyabeeranga e Kazoli; omuduumizi w’eggye lye nga ye Sisera eyabeeranga e Kalosesi eky’abamawanga.
3 The children of Israel cried to YHWH: for he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and twenty years he mightily oppressed the children of Israel.
Yabini yalina amagaali ag’ekyuma lwenda, era n’ajoogera Abayisirayiri emyaka amakumi abiri, kyebaava balaajaanira Mukama abayambe.
4 Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, she judged Israel at that time.
Awo Nnabbi Debola mukazi wa Leppidosi ye yali akulembera Abayisirayiri mu kiseera ekyo.
5 She lived under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.
Era bulijjo yatuulanga wansi w’olukindu olwayitibwanga olwa Debola wakati w’e Lama ne Beseri mu kitundu kya Efulayimu eky’ensozi: Abayisirayiri ne bajjanga gyali okubalamula.
6 She sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedesh Naphtali, and said to him, "Hasn't YHWH, the God of Israel, commanded, 'Go and draw to Mount Tabor, and take with you ten thousand men of the people of Naphtali and of the people of Zebulun?
N’atumya Baraki mutabani wa Abinoamu ave mu Kedesi ekitundu kya Nafutaali, n’amugamba nti, “Mukama Katonda w’Abayisirayiri akulagidde nti, ‘Ggenda okuŋŋaanyize abasajja bo ku lusozi Taboli, obalondemu omutwalo gumu okuva mu kika ekya Nafutaali n’ekya Zebbulooni.
7 I will draw to you, to the river Kishon, Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into your hand.'"
Ndisindika gy’oli ku mugga Kisoni, Sisera omuduumizi w’eggye lya Yabini, n’amagaali ge n’abalwanyi be era ndibawaayo mu mikono gyo.’”
8 Barak said to her, "If you will go with me, then I will go; but if you will not go with me, I will not go, for I do not know the day on which YHWH prospers his angel with me."
Baraki n’amuddamu nti, “Kale nnaagenda bw’onokkiriza ŋŋende naawe, naye bw’otokkirize nange siigende.”
9 She said, "I will surely go with you, but know that the journey that you take will not be for your honor; for YHWH will sell Sisera into the hand of a woman." Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh.
Debola n’amugamba nti, “Wewaawo nnaagenda naawe, naye ekitiibwa n’obuwanguzi tebiibe bibyo, kubanga Mukama aliwaayo Sisera awangulwe mu mikono gy’omukazi.” Baraki n’addayo ne Debola e Kedesi.
10 Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali together to Kedesh; and there went up ten thousand men at his feet: and Deborah went up with him.
Baraki n’ayita ab’ekika kya Zebbulooni n’ekya Nafutaali bakuŋŋaanire e Kedesi, abasajja omutwalo gumu ne bamugoberera awamu ne Debola.
11 Now Heber the Kenite had separated himself from the Kenites, even from the descendants of Hobab the brother-in-law of Moses, and had pitched his tent as far as the oak in Zaanannim, which is by Kedesh.
Keberi Omukeeni yazimba eweema ye okumpi n’omuti omwera e Zaanannimu ekiri okumpi ne Kedesi oluvannyuma lw’okwawukana ne Bakeeni banne, bazzukulu ba Kobabu mukoddomi wa Musa.
12 And it was reported to Sisera that Barak the son of Abinoam had gone up to Mount Tabor.
Awo Sisera bwe yamanya nga Baraki mutabani wa Abinoamu atuuse ku Lusozi Taboli,
13 Sisera gathered together all his chariots, even nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people who were with him, from Harosheth Haggoyim, to the river Kishon.
n’akuŋŋaanya amagaali ge gonna lwenda ag’ekyuma, n’abalwanyi be bonna okuva ku Kalosesi eky’abamawanga okutuuka ku mugga Kisoni.
14 Deborah said to Barak, "Arise, for this is the day in which YHWH has delivered Sisera into your hand. Hasn't YHWH gone out before you?" So Barak went down from Mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him.
Debola n’agamba Baraki nti, “Mukama si y’akukulembedde! Noolwekyo situkiramu kubanga olwa leero Mukama awaddeyo Sisera mu mikono gyo.” Awo Baraki n’ava ku lusozi Taboli n’abalwanyi be omutwalo gumu.
15 YHWH confused Sisera, and all his chariots, and all his army, with the edge of the sword before Barak; and Sisera got off from his chariot, and fled away on his feet.
Mukama n’afufuggaza n’ekitala Sisera n’amagaali gonna n’eggye lye lyonna nga Baraki alaba; Sisera n’abuuka mu ggaali lye, n’adduka.
16 But Barak pursued after the chariots, and after the army, to Harosheth Haggoyim: and all the army of Sisera fell by the edge of the sword; there was not a man left.
Baraki n’afubutula eggye lya Sisera n’amagaali gaalyo okutuuka e Keloseesi eky’amawanga; era n’abatta n’ekitala obutalekaawo yadde n’omu.
17 However Sisera fled away on his feet to the tent of Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite; for there was peace between Jabin the king of Hazor and the house of Heber the Kenite.
Naye Sisera n’addukira eri eweema ya Yayeeri mukazi w’Omukeeni Keberi: Kubanga waaliwo enkolagana wakati wa kabaka w’e Kazoli, Yabini n’ab’omu maka g’Omukeeni Keberi.
18 Jael went out to meet Sisera, and said to him, "Turn in, my lord, turn in to me; do not be afraid." He came in to her into the tent, and she covered him with a rug.
Yayeeri n’afuluma okusisinkana Sisera; n’amugamba nti, “Mukama wange yingira mu weema yange, totya.” Sisera n’ayingira mu weema. Yayeeri n’amubikkako omunagiro.
19 He said to her, "Please give me a little water to drink; for I am thirsty." She opened a bottle of milk, and gave him drink, and covered him.
Namwegayirira nti, “Mpa ku tuzzi nnyweko kubanga ennyonta enzita.” N’asumulula eddiba omufukibwa amata n’amunywesa oluvannyuma n’amubikkako.
20 He said to her, "Stand in the door of the tent, and it shall be, when any man comes and inquires of you, and says, 'Is there any man here?' that you shall say, 'No.'"
Sisera n’agamba Yayeeri nti, “Yimirira mu mulyango gwa weema eno, omuntu yenna bw’ajja n’akubuuza obanga muno mulimu omusajja yenna, omuddamu nti, ‘Temuli.’”
21 Then Jael Heber's wife took a tent peg, and took a hammer in her hand, and went softly to him, and struck the pin into his temples, and it pierced through into the ground; for he was in a deep sleep; so he died.
Awo Sisera bwe yali nga ali mu tulo tungi, Yayeeri mukazi wa Keberi n’addira enkondo ya weema n’ennyondo n’amusooberera n’amukomerera enkondo mu kyenyi, n’eyitamu n’ekwata n’ettaka n’afa.
22 Look, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said to him, "Come, and I will show you the man whom you seek." He came to her; and look, Sisera lay dead, and the tent peg was in his temples.
Awo Baraki bwe yali nga anoonya Sisera, Yayeeri n’afuluma okumusisinkana, n’amugamba nti, “Jjangu nkulage omusajja gw’onoonya. Baraki n’ayingira mu weema n’alaba omulambo ggwa Sisera nga gukubiddwamu enkondo mu kyenyi.”
23 So God subdued on that day Jabin the king of Canaan before the children of Israel.
Ku lunaku olwo Katonda n’awa Abayisirayiri obuwanguzi ku Yabini kabaka wa Kanani.
24 The hand of the children of Israel prevailed more and more against Jabin the king of Canaan, until they had destroyed Jabin king of Canaan.
Abayisirayiri ne beeyongera okufufuggaza Yabini kabaka wa Kanani okutuusa lwe bamuzikiririzza ddala.
