Joshua 15
1 The lot for the tribe of the descendants of Judah according to their families was to the border of Edom, even to the wilderness of Zin southward, toward the Negev in the far south.

2 Their south border was from the uttermost part of the Salt Sea, from the bay that looks southward;

3 and it went out southward of the ascent of Akrabbim, and passed along to Zin, and went up by the south of Kadesh Barnea, and passed along by Hezron, went up to Addar, and turned about to Karka;
Und ging hinaus mittäglich von Maaleh Akrabbim und ging hinüber nach Zin und stieg mittäglich von Kadesch Barnea auf, und ging hinüber nach Chezron und stieg auf nach Addar und wandte sich nach Karka um.
4 and it passed along to Azmon, went out at the Wadi of Egypt; and the border ended at the sea. This was their southern border.
Und ging hinüber nach Azmon und ging aus am Bache Ägyptens, und die Ausläufe der Grenze waren nach dem Meere hin. Dies soll eure Mittagsgrenze sein.
5 The east border was the Salt Sea, even to the end of the Jordan. The border of the north quarter was from the bay of the sea at the end of the Jordan.
Und die Grenze nach Osten ist das Salzmeer bis an das Ende des Jordans. Und die Grenze nach der Seite gegen Mitternacht ist von der Meereszunge an vom Ende des Jordans.
6 The border went up to Beth Hoglah, and passed along by the north of Beth Arabah; and the border went up to the Stone of Bohan the son of Reuben.
Und die Grenze steigt auf nach Beth-Choglah, und geht hinüber von Mitternacht nach Beth-Arabah, und die Grenze steigt auf nach dem Stein Bohans, des Sohnes Rubens.
7 The border went up to Debir from the Valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is over against the ascent of Adummim, which is on the south side of the river. The border passed along to the waters of En Shemesh, and ended at En Rogel.
Und die Grenze steigt auf gen Debir vom Talgrunde Achor, und Mitternacht zu wendet sie sich gen Gilgal, der Maaleh Adummim stracks gegenüber, welches auf der Mittagseite des Baches liegt. Und die Grenze geht hinüber zu den Wassern von En-Schemesch, und seine Ausläufe gehen bis En-Rogel.
8 The border went up by the Valley of Ben Hinnom to the slope of the Jebusites southward (that is, Jerusalem); and the border went up to the top of the mountain that lies before the Valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the farthest part of the Valley of Rephaim northward.
Und die Grenze steigt auf nach der Schlucht Ben Hinnom auf der Mittagseite des Jebusiters, das ist von Jerusalem, und von da steigt die Grenze auf die Spitze des Berges, der vor Ge Hinnom ist, dem Meere zu, am Ende des Talgrundes Rephaim gegen Mitternacht.
9 The border extended from the top of the mountain to the spring of the waters of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of Mount Ephron; and the border extended to Baalah (that is, Kiriath Jearim);
Und vom Gipfel des Berges erstreckt sich die Grenze hin nach dem Brunnquell der Wasser von Nephthoach und geht aus nach den Städten des Berges Ephron und die Grenze erstreckt sich nach Baalah, das ist Kirjath Jearim.
10 and the border turned about from Baalah westward to Mount Seir, and passed along to the side of Mount Jearim on the north (that is, Kesalon), and went down to Beth Shemesh, and passed along by Timnah;
Und die Grenze wendet sich herum von Baalah nach dem Meere zum Berge Seir und geht hinüber an die Mitternachtseite des Jearimgebirges, das ist Chesalon, und geht hinab nach Beth-Schemesch und geht hinüber nach Timnah.
11 and the border went out to the side of Ekron northward; and the border extended to Shikkeron, and passed along to Mount Baalah, and went out at Jabneel; and the goings out of the border were at the sea.
Und die Grenze geht aus nach der Mitternachtseite von Ekron; und die Grenze erstreckte sich nach Schikkeron und geht hinüber nach dem Berg von Baalah und geht aus nach Jabneel, und die Ausläufe der Grenze sind dem Meere zu.
12 The west border was to the shore of the Great Sea. This is the border of the descendants of Judah according to their families.
Und die Meeresgrenze ist am großen Meer und seiner Grenze. Dies ist die Grenze der Söhne Judah ringsum nach ihren Familien.
13 To Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a portion among the descendants of Judah, according to the commandment of YHWH to Joshua, even Kiriath Arba, named after the father of Anak (that is, Hebron).
Und dem Kaleb, dem Sohne Jephunnehs, gab man nach Jehovahs Befehl an Joschua als Teil inmitten der Söhne Judahs Kirjath Arbah des Vaters des Enak, das ist Chebron.
14 Caleb drove out the three sons of Anak: Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the descendants of Anak.
Und Kaleb trieb aus von da die drei Söhne Enaks, Scheschai und Achiman und Thalmai, die Enakskinder.
15 He went up against the inhabitants of Debir. Now the name of Debir formerly was Kiriath Sepher.
Und von dannen zog er hinauf gegen die Einwohner Debirs, und der Name Debirs war vordem Kirjath Sepher.
16 Caleb said, "He who strikes Kiriath Sepher, and takes it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter as wife."
Und Kaleb sprach: Wer Kirjath Sepher schlägt und es erobert, dem gebe ich meine Tochter Achsah zum Weibe.
17 Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter as wife.
Und Othniel, Sohn von Kenas, Kalebs Bruder, eroberte sie, und er gab ihm seine Tochter Achsah zum Weib.
18 It happened, when she came, that she had him ask her father for a field. She got off of her donkey, and Caleb said, "What do you want?"
Und es geschah, als sie einzog, trieb sie ihn an, von ihrem Vater Feld zu erbitten; und sie ließ sich vom Esel herab und Kaleb sprach zu ihr: Was ist dir?
19 She said, "Give me a blessing. Because you have set me in the land of the Negev, give me also springs of water." He gave her the upper springs and the lower springs.
Und sie sprach: Gib mir einen Segen; du hast mir ein Mittagsland gegeben, so gib mir auch Wasser. Und er gab ihr die oberen Wasserquellen und die unteren Wasserquellen.
20 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the descendants of Judah according to their families.
Dies ist das Erbe des Stammes der Söhne Judahs nach seinen Familien.
21 The farthest cities of the tribe of the descendants of Judah toward the border of Edom in the south were Kabzeel, and Arad, and Jagur,
Und es waren die Städte vom Ende des Stammes der Söhne Judahs an der Grenze Edoms gen Mittag: Kabzeel und Eder und Jagur.
22 and Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah,
Und Kinah und Dimonah und Adadah.
23 and Kedesh, and Hazor Ithnan,

24 Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth,

25 and Hazor Hadattah, and Kerioth Hezron (that is, Hazor),

32 and Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and En Rimmon. All the cities are twenty-nine, with their villages.

46 from Ekron even to the sea, all that were by the side of Ashdod, with their villages.

47 Ashdod, its towns and its villages; Gaza, its towns and its villages; to the Wadi of Egypt, and the Great Sea with its coastline.

60 Kiriath Baal (that is, Kiriath Jearim), and Rabbah; two cities with their villages.
Kirjath Baal das ist Kirjath Jearim und Rabbah, zwei Städte und ihre Dörfer;
61 In the wilderness, Beth Arabah, Middin, and Secacah,
In der Wüste Beth-Arabah, Middin und Sechachah;
62 and Nibshan, and Ir Hamelach, and En Gedi; six cities with their villages.
Und Nibschan und Ir-Hammelach und En-Gedi, sechs Städte und ihre Dörfer.
63 As for the Jebusites, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the descendants of Judah couldn't drive them out; but the Jebusites live with the descendants of Judah at Jerusalem to this day.
Und die Jebusiter, die in Jerusalem wohnen, vermochten die Söhne Judahs nicht auszutreiben; und der Jebusiter wohnt mit den Söhnen Judahs in Jerusalem bis auf diesen Tag.
