Jonah 2
1 Then Jonah prayed to YHWH, his God, out of the fish's belly.
Yona ali mʼmimba mwa chinsomba chija anapemphera kwa Yehova Mulungu wake.
2 He said, "I called because of my affliction to YHWH. He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried. You heard my voice. (Sheol h7585)
Iye anati: “Pamene ndinali mʼmavuto anga ndinayitana Yehova, ndipo Iye anandiyankha. Ndili ku dziko la anthu akufa ndinapempha thandizo, ndipo Inu munamva kulira kwanga. (Sheol h7585)
3 For you threw me into the depths, in the heart of the seas. The flood was all around me. All your breakers and waves passed over me.
Munandiponya mʼnyanja yozama, mʼkati mwenimweni mwa nyanja, ndipo madzi oyenda anandizungulira; mafunde anu onse ndi mkokomo wake zinandimiza.
4 I said, 'I have been banished from your sight; yet I will look again toward your holy temple.'
Ndinati, ‘Ine ndachotsedwa pamaso panu; komabe ndidzayangʼananso ku Nyumba yanu yopatulika.’
5 The waters surrounded me, threatening my life. The deep was around me. The end is upon my head.
Madzi wondimiza anandichititsa mantha, nyanja yozama inandizungulira; udzu wa mʼmadzi zinakuta mutu wanga.
6 I went down to the bottoms of the mountains. The earth barred me in forever: yet have you brought up my life from the pit, YHWH my God.
Ndinatsikira kunsi ndithu, mʼtsinde mwa mapiri; mipiringidzo ya dziko inanditsekereza kosatha. Koma Inu munatulutsa moyo wanga mʼmandamo, Inu Yehova Mulungu wanga.
7 "When my soul fainted within me, I remembered YHWH. My prayer came in to you, into your holy temple.
“Pamene moyo wanga umachoka mwa ine, ine ndinakumbukira Inu Yehova, ndipo pemphero langa linafika kwa inu, ku Nyumba yanu yopatulika.
8 Those who regard worthless things forsake their faithfulness.
“Iwo amene amagwiritsitsa mafano achabechabe amataya chisomo chawo.
9 But I will sacrifice to you with the voice of thanksgiving. I will pay that which I have vowed. Salvation belongs to YHWH."
Koma ine ndidzapereka kwa Inu nsembe ndikuyimba nyimbo yamayamiko. Chimene ndinalonjeza ndidzachikwaniritsa. Chipulumutso chimachokera kwa Yehova.”
10 YHWH spoke to the fish, and it vomited out Jonah on the dry land.
Ndipo Yehova analamula chinsomba chija, ndipo chinakamusanza Yonayo mʼmbali mwa nyanja.
