John 8
1 but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
Porém Jesus foi para o monte das Oliveiras;
2 Now very early in the morning, he came again into the temple, and all the people came to him, and he sat down and taught them.
E pela manhã cedo tornou para o templo, e todo o povo vinha ter com elle, e, assentando-se, os ensinava.
3 Then the scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman taken in adultery, and having set her in the midst,
E os escribas e phariseos trouxeram-lhe uma mulher apanhada em adulterio;
4 they said to him, "Teacher, we found this woman in adultery, in the very act.
E, pondo-a no meio, disseram-lhe: Mestre, esta mulher foi apanhada, no proprio acto, adulterando,
5 Now in the Law, Moses commanded us to stone such. So what do you say?"
E na lei nos mandou Moysés que as taes sejam apedrejadas. Tu pois que dizes?
6 Now they said this to test him, that they might have something to accuse him of. But Jesus stooped down, and wrote on the ground with his finger.
Isto diziam elles, tentando-o, para que tivessem de que o accusar. Mas Jesus, inclinando-se, escrevia com o dedo na terra.
7 But when they continued asking him, he looked up and said to them, "He who is without sin among you, let him throw the first stone at her."
E, como perseverassem perguntando-lhe, endireitou-se, e disse-lhes: Aquelle que d'entre vós está sem peccado seja o primeiro que atire pedra contra ella.
8 Again he stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground.
E, tornando a inclinar-se, escreveu na terra.
9 But when they heard it, they went out one by one, beginning from the oldest, even to the last, and he was left alone with the woman where she was, in the middle.
Porém, ouvindo elles isto, e accusados pela consciencia, sairam um a um, começando pelos mais velhos até aos ultimos; ficou só Jesus e a mulher, que estava no meio.
10 Then Jesus, standing up, said to her, "Woman, where are they? Did no one condemn you?"
E, endireitando-se Jesus, e não vendo ninguem mais do que a mulher, disse-lhe: Mulher, onde estão aquelles teus accusadores? Ninguem te condemnou?
11 And she said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said, "Neither do I condemn you. Go, and sin no more."
E ella disse: Ninguem, Senhor. E disse-lhe Jesus: Nem eu tambem te condemno: vae-te, e não peques mais.
12 Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life."
Fallou-lhes pois Jesus outra vez, dizendo: Eu sou a luz do mundo; quem me segue não andará em trevas, mas terá a luz da vida.
13 The Pharisees therefore said to him, "You testify about yourself. Your testimony is not valid."
Disseram-lhe pois os phariseos: Tu testificas de ti mesmo: o teu testemunho não é verdadeiro.
14 Jesus answered them, "Even if I testify about myself, my testimony is true, for I know where I came from, and where I am going; but you do not know where I came from, or where I am going.
Respondeu Jesus, e disse-lhes: Ainda que eu testifico de mim mesmo, o meu testemunho é verdadeiro, porque sei d'onde vim, e para onde vou; porém vós não sabeis d'onde venho, nem para onde vou
15 You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.
Vós julgaes segundo a carne, eu a ninguem julgo.
16 Even if I do judge, my judgment is true, for I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent me.
E, se eu tambem julgo, o meu juizo é verdadeiro, porque não sou eu só, mas eu e o Pae que me enviou.
17 It's also written in your Law that the testimony of two people is valid.
E tambem na vossa lei está escripto que o testemunho de dois homens é verdadeiro.
18 I am one who testifies about myself, and the Father who sent me testifies about me."
Eu sou o que testifico de mim mesmo, e de num testifica tambem o Pae que me enviou.
19 They said therefore to him, "Where is your Father?" Jesus answered, "You know neither me, nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father also."
Disseram-lhe pois: Onde está teu Pae? Jesus respondeu: Nem me conheceis a mim, nem a meu Pae: se vós me conhecesseis a mim, tambem conhecerieis a meu Pae.
20 Jesus spoke these words in the treasury, as he taught in the temple. Yet no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come.
Estas palavras disse Jesus no logar do thesouro, ensinando no templo, e ninguem o prendeu, porque ainda não era chegada a sua hora.
21 Jesus said therefore again to them, "I am going away, and you will seek me, and you will die in your sins. Where I go, you cannot come."
Disse-lhes pois Jesus outra vez: Eu retiro-me, e buscar-me-heis, e morrereis no vosso peccado. Para onde eu vou não podeis vós vir.
22 The Jewish leaders therefore said, "Will he kill himself, that he says, 'Where I am going, you cannot come?'"
Diziam pois os judeos: Porventura ha de matar-se a si mesmo, pois diz: Para onde eu vou não podeis vós vir?
23 He said to them, "You are from beneath. I am from above. You are of this world. I am not of this world.
E dizia-lhes: Vós sois debaixo, eu sou de cima; vós sois d'este mundo, eu não sou d'este mundo.
24 I said therefore to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am he, you will die in your sins."
Por isso vos disse que morrereis em vossos peccados, porque, se não crerdes o que eu sou, morrereis em vossos peccados.
25 They said therefore to him, "Who are you?" Jesus said to them, "Just what I have been saying to you from the beginning.
Disseram-lhe pois: Quem és tu? Jesus lhes disse: O mesmo que tambem já desde o principio vos disse.
26 I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you. However he who sent me is true; and the things which I heard from him, these I say to the world."
Muitas coisas tenho que dizer e julgar de vós, mas aquelle que me enviou é verdadeiro, e eu o que d'elle tenho ouvido isso fallo ao mundo.
27 They did not understand that he spoke to them about the Father.
Mas não entenderam que elle lhes fallava do Pae.
28 Jesus therefore said to them, "When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and I do nothing of myself, but as the Father taught me, I say these things.
Disse-lhes pois Jesus: Quando levantardes o Filho do homem, então conhecereis quem eu sou, e que nada faço por mim mesmo; mas fallo assim como o Pae m'o ensinou.
29 He who sent me is with me. The Father hasn't left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him."
E aquelle que me enviou está comigo; o Pae não me tem deixado só, porque eu faço sempre o que lhe agrada.
30 As he spoke these things, many believed in him.
Fallando elle estas coisas, muitos creram n'elle.
31 Jesus therefore said to those Judeans who had believed him, "If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples.
Jesus dizia pois aos judeos que criam n'elle: Se vós permanecerdes na minha palavra, verdadeiramente sereis meus discipulos;
32 You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."
E conhecereis a verdade, e a verdade vos libertará.
33 They answered him, "We are Abraham's descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can you say, 'You will be made free?'"
Responderam-lhe: Somos descendencia de Abrahão, e nunca servimos a ninguem; como dizes tu: Sereis livres?
34 Jesus answered them, "Truly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin.
Respondeu-lhes Jesus: Em verdade, em verdade vos digo que todo aquelle que commette peccado é servo do peccado.
Ora o servo não fica para sempre em casa; o Filho fica para sempre. (aiōn g165)
36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
Se pois o Filho vos libertar, verdadeiramente sereis livres.
37 I know that you are Abraham's descendants, yet you seek to kill me, because my word finds no place in you.
Bem sei que sois descendencia de Abrahão; comtudo, procuraes matar-me, porque a minha palavra não cabe em vós.
38 I say the things which I have seen with my Father; and you also do the things which you have heard from your father."
Eu fallo do que vi junto de meu Pae, e vós fazeis o que tambem vistes junto de vosso pae.
39 They answered him, "Our father is Abraham." Jesus said to them, "If you were Abraham's children, you would do the works of Abraham.
Responderam, e disseram-lhe: Nosso pae é Abrahão. Jesus disse-lhes: Se fosseis filhos de Abrahão, farieis as obras de Abrahão.
40 But now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth, which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this.
Porém agora procuraes matar-me, a mim, um homem que vos tenho fallado a verdade que de Deus tenho ouvido; Abrahão não fez isto.
41 You do the works of your father." They said to him, "We were not born of sexual immorality. We have one Father, God."
Vós fazeis as obras de vosso pae. Disseram-lhe pois: Nós não somos nascidos da fornicação; temos um Pae, que é Deus.
42 Therefore Jesus said to them, "If God were your father, you would love me, for I came out and have come from God. For I have not come of myself, but he sent me.
Disse-lhes pois Jesus; Se Deus fosse o vosso Pae, certamente me amarieis, pois que eu sahi, e vim de Deus; porque não vim de mim mesmo, mas elle me enviou.
43 Why do you not understand my speech? Because you cannot hear my word.
Porque não entendeis a minha linguagem? por não poderdes ouvir a minha palavra.
44 You are of your father, the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks on his own; for he is a liar, and its father.
Vós tendes por pae ao diabo, e quereis fazer os desejos de vosso pae: elle foi homicida desde o principio, e não permaneceu na verdade, porque não ha verdade n'elle; quando falla mentira, falla do que lhe é proprio, porque é mentiroso, e pae da mentira.
45 But because I tell the truth, you do not believe me.
Mas, porque vos digo a verdade, não me crêdes.
46 Which of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me?
Quem d'entre vós me convence de peccado? E, se digo a verdade, porque não crêdes?
47 He who is of God hears the words of God. For this cause you do not hear, because you are not of God."
Quem é de Deus escuta as palavras de Deus; por isso vós não as escutaes, porque não sois de Deus.
48 Then the Judeans answered him, "Do not we say well that you are a Samaritan, and have a demon?"
Responderam pois os judeos, e disseram-lhe: Não dizemos nós bem que és samaritano, e que tens demonio?
49 Jesus answered, "I do not have a demon, but I honor my Father, and you dishonor me.
Jesus respondeu: Eu não tenho demonio, antes honro a meu Pae, e vós me deshonraes.
50 But I do not seek my own glory. There is one who seeks and judges.
Eu não busco a minha gloria; ha quem a busque, e julgue.
Em verdade, em verdade vos digo que, se alguem guardar a minha palavra, nunca verá a morte. (aiōn g165)
52 Then the Judeans said to him, "Now we know that you have a demon. Abraham died, and the prophets; and you say, 'If anyone keeps my word, he will never taste of death.' (aiōn g165)
Disseram-lhe pois os judeos: Agora conhecemos que tens demonio. Morreu Abrahão e os prophetas; e tu dizes: Se alguem guardar a minha palavra, nunca provará a morte. (aiōn g165)
53 Are you greater than our father, Abraham, who died? The prophets died. Who do you make yourself out to be?"
És tu maior do que o nosso pae Abrahão, que morreu? e tambem os prophetas morreram: quem te fazes tu ser?
54 Jesus answered, "If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say 'He is our God.'
Jesus respondeu: Se eu me glorifico a mim mesmo, a minha gloria é nada; quem me glorifica é o meu Pae, o qual dizeis que é vosso Deus.
55 You have not known him, but I know him. If I said, 'I do not know him,' I would be like you, a liar. But I know him, and keep his word.
E vós não o conheceis, mas eu conheço-o: e, se disser que o não conheço, serei mentiroso como vós; mas conheço-o e guardo a sua palavra.
56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day. He saw it, and was glad."
Abrahão, vosso pae, exultou por ver o meu dia, e viu-o, e alegrou-se.
57 The Judeans therefore said to him, "You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?"
Disseram-lhe pois os judeos: Ainda não tens cincoenta annos, e viste Abrahão?
58 Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I tell you, before Abraham came into existence, I AM."
Disse-lhes Jesus: Em verdade, em verdade vos digo que antes que Abrahão fosse feito eu sou.
59 Therefore they took up stones to throw at him, but Jesus was concealed, and went out of the temple.
Então pegaram em pedras para lhe atirarem; porém Jesus occultou-se, e saiu do templo, passando pelo meio d'elles, e assim se retirou.
