< John 4 >
1 Therefore when Jesus knew that the Pharisees had heard, "Jesus is making and baptizing more disciples than John"
Naizvozvo Ishe paakaziva kuti VaFarisi vakange vanzwa kuti Jesu anoita nekubhabhatidza vadzidzi vakawanda kupfuura Johwani,
2 (although Jesus himself did not baptize, but his disciples),
kunyange Jesu pachake wakange asingabhabhatidzi, asi vadzidzi vake,
3 he left Judea, and departed again into Galilee.
akabva Judhiya, akaendazve muGarirea.
4 He needed to pass through Samaria.
Asi wakange achifanira kugura neSamaria.
5 So he came to a city of Samaria, called Sychar, near the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son, Joseph.
Zvino wakasvika paguta reSamaria rinonzi Sikari, pedo nedunhu Jakobho raakange apa Josefa mwanakomana wake.
6 Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being tired from his journey, sat down by the well. It was about the sixth hour.
Zvino chitubu chaJakobho chakange chiripo. Naizvozvo Jesu aneta nerwendo wakagara saizvozvo pachitubu. Raiva awa rinenge rechitanhatu.
7 A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, "Give me a drink."
Kwakasvika mukadzi achibva muSamaria kuzochera mvura; Jesu akati kwaari: Ndipe ndinwe.
8 For his disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.
(Nokuti vadzidzi vake vakange vaenda muguta kunotenga kudya).
9 The Samaritan woman therefore said to him, "How can you, being a Jew, ask for a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?" (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)
Naizvozvo mukadzi ari muSamaria wakati kwaari: Sei iwe uri muJudha uchikumbira kunwa kwandiri, mukadzi muSamaria? Nokuti VaJudha havadyidzani neVaSamaria.
10 Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give me a drink,' you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water."
Jesu akapindura akati kwaari: Dai waiziva chipo chaMwari, uye kuti ndiani anoti kwauri: Ndipe ndinwe; ungadai waikumbira kwaari, uye ungadai akupa mvura mhenyu.
11 The woman said to him, "Sir, you have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. From where do you get that living water?
Mukadzi akati kwaari: Ishe, hamuna chinhu chekucheresa, uye tsime rakadzika; zvino munoitora kupi mvura mhenyu?
12 Are you greater than our father, Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank of it himself, as did his children, and his livestock?"
Imwi muri mukuru kuna baba vedu Jakobho, vakatipa tsime, vakanwa pariri ivo, nevana vavo, nezvipfuwo zvavo here?
13 Jesus answered her, "Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again,
Jesu akapindura ndokuti kwaari: Ani nani anonwa pamvura iyi, achava nenyotazve;
14 but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to everlasting life." (aiōn , aiōnios )
asi ani nani anonwa pamvura yandichamupa ini, haachatongozovi nenyota nekusingaperi; asi mvura yandichamupa ichava maari chitubu chemvura, inodzutukira kuupenyu husingaperi. (aiōn , aiōnios )
15 The woman said to him, "Sir, give me this water, so that I do not get thirsty, neither come all the way here to draw."
Mukadzi akati kwaari: Ishe, ndipei mvura iyi, kuti ndirege kuva nenyota, kana kuuya pano kuzochera.
16 He said to her, "Go, call your husband, and come here."
Jesu akati kwaari: Enda, unodana murume wako, ugouya pano.
17 The woman answered and said to him, "I have no husband." Jesus said to her, "You said well, 'I have no husband,'
Mukadzi akapindura ndokuti: Handina murume. Jesu akati kwaari: Wareva zvakanaka kuti: Handina murume.
18 for you have had five husbands; and he whom you now have is not your husband. This you have said truly."
Nokuti wakava nevarume vashanu, uyo waunaye ikozvino haasi murume wako; apa wareva chokwadi.
19 The woman said to him, "Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet.
Mukadzi akati kwaari: Ishe, ndinoona kuti imwi muri muporofita.
20 Our fathers worshiped in this mountain, and you say that in Jerusalem is the place where people ought to worship."
Madzibaba edu ainamata mugomo iri; asi imwi munoti muJerusarema ndimo munzvimbo munhu yaanofanira kunamatapo.
21 Jesus said to her, "Woman, believe me, the hour comes, when neither in this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, will you worship the Father.
Jesu akati kwaari: Mukadzi, nditende, kuti awa rinouya, ramuchashumira Baba musiri mugomo iri, kana paJerusarema.
22 You worship that which you do not know. We worship that which we know; for salvation is from the Jews.
Imwi munonamata chamusingazivi; isu tinoshumira chatinoziva; nokuti ruponeso rwunobva kuVaJudha.
23 But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such to be his worshippers.
Asi awa rinouya, uye ratova iro, apo vanamati vechokwadi vachanamata Baba mumweya nemuchokwadi; nokutiwo Baba vanotsvaka vakadaro kuti vavanamate.
24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."
Mwari Mweya; neavo vanomunamata vanofanira kunamata mumweya nemuchokwadi.
25 The woman said to him, "I know that Messiah comes," (he who is called Christ). "When he has come, he will declare to us all things."
Mukadzi akati kwaari: Ndinoziva kuti Mesiasi anouya anonzi Kristu; kana iye asvika, achatiudza zvinhu zvese.
26 Jesus said to her, "I am he, the one who speaks to you."
Jesu akati kwaari: Ini ndinotaura kwauri, ndini.
27 At this, his disciples came. They were surprised that he was speaking with a woman; yet no one said, "What are you looking for?" or, "Why do you speak with her?"
Zvino nenguva iyi vadzidzi vake vakasvika, vakashamisika kuti anotaura nemukadzi; asi hakuna umwe wakati: Munotsvakei? Kana: Munotaurirei naye?
28 So the woman left her water pot, and went away into the city, and said to the people,
Naizvozvo mukadzi akasiya chirongo chake, ndokubva oenda muguta, akati kuvanhu:
29 "Come, see a man who told me everything that I did. Can this be the Christ?"
Uyai, muone munhu, wandiudza zvinhu zvese zvandakaita; ko uyu haasi iye Kristu here?
30 They went out of the city, and were coming to him.
Naizvozvo vakabuda muguta, vakauya kwaari.
31 In the meanwhile, the disciples urged him, saying, "Rabbi, eat."
Zvichakadaro vadzidzi vakamunyengetedza vachiti: Rabhi, idyai.
32 But he said to them, "I have food to eat that you do not know about."
Asi iye wakati kwavari: Ini ndine kudya kwekudya kwamusingazivi imwi.
33 The disciples therefore said one to another, "Has anyone brought him something to eat?"
Naizvozvo vadzidzi vakataurirana vachiti: Kuti pane umwe wamuvigira zvekudya?
34 Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of him who sent me, and to accomplish his work.
Jesu akati kwavari: Zvekudya zvangu ndizvo kuti ndiite chido chewakandituma, nekupedza basa rake.
35 Do you not say, 'There are yet four months until the harvest?' Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes and see the fields, that they are white for harvest already.
Imwi hamutauri here kuti: Kuchine mwedzi mina, zvino kukohwa kunosvika? Tarirai, ndinoti kwamuri: Simudzai meso enyu, muone minda, kuti yatochenera kukohwa.
36 He who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit to everlasting life; that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. (aiōnios )
Zvino anokohwa anogamuchira mubairo, uye anounganidza zvibereko muupenyu husingaperi; kuti vaviri anokusha neanokohwa vafare pamwe. (aiōnios )
37 For in this the saying is true, 'One sows, and another reaps.'
Nokuti pane izvi shumo ndeyechokwadi inoti: Umwe anokusha, uye umwe anokohwa.
38 I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored. Others have labored, and you have entered into their labor."
Ini ndakakutumai kukohwa zvamusakashandira; vamwe vakashanda, zvino imwi mapinda pabasa ravo.
39 From that city many of the Samaritans believed in him because of the word of the woman, who testified, "He told me everything that I did."
Zvino vazhinji veVaSamaria kubva muguta iro vakatenda kwaari nekuda kweshoko remukadzi, rakapupura richiti: Wandiudza zvese zvandakaita.
40 So when the Samaritans came to him, they asked him to stay with them. He stayed there two days.
Zvino VaSamaria vakati vachisvika kwaari, vakamunyengetedza kuti agare navo; ndokugarapo mazuva maviri.
41 Many more believed because of his word.
Vazhinji vakawedzerwa vakatenda nekuda kweshoko rake.
42 They said to the woman, "Now we believe, not because of your speaking; for we have heard for ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Savior of the world."
Zvino vakati kumukadzi: Hatichatendi nekuda kwekureva kwako; nokuti tazvinzwira, uye tinoziva kuti uyu ndiye zvirokwazvo Muponesi wenyika, Kristu.
43 After the two days he departed from there to Galilee.
Zvino shure kwemazuva maviri wakabvapo, ndokuenda kuGarirea;
44 For Jesus himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country.
nokuti Jesu amene wakapupura kuti muporofita haana rukudzo munyika yekwake.
45 So when he came into Galilee, the Galileans received him, having seen all the things that he did in Jerusalem at the feast, for they also went to the feast.
Zvino wakati asvika kuGarirea, VaGarirea vakamugamuchira, vaona zvinhu zvese zvaakaita paJerusarema pamabiko, nokuti naivo vakange vaenda kumabiko.
46 Jesus came therefore again to Cana of Galilee, where he made the water into wine. There was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum.
Zvino Jesu wakasvikazve paKana yeGarirea, paakange aita mvura ive waini. Zvino pakange pane rimwe jinda, mwanakomana waro wakange achirwara paKapenaume.
47 When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to him, and pleaded with him that he would come down and heal his son, for he was close to death.
Iro rakati richinzwa kuti Jesu wabva Judhiya akasvika kuGarirea, rikaenda kwaari, rikamugombedzera kuti aburukire aporese mwanakomana waro; nokuti wakange odofa.
48 Jesus therefore said to him, "Unless you see signs and wonders, you will in no way believe."
Naizvozvo Jesu akati kwariri: Kunze kwekuti maona zviratidzo nezvishamiso, hamungatongotendi.
49 The nobleman said to him, "Sir, come down before my child dies."
Jinda rikati kwaari: Ishe, burukai mwana wangu asati afa.
50 Jesus said to him, "Go your way. Your son lives." The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way.
Jesu akati kwaari: Enda, mwanakomana wako anorarama. Munhu ndokutenda shoko Jesu raakareva kwaari, akaenda.
51 As he was now going down, his servants met him, saying that his son was alive.
Zvino wakati oburuka, varanda vake vakamuchingamidza, vakamuudza vachiti: Mwana wenyu anorarama.
52 So he inquired of them the hour when he began to get better. They said therefore to him, "Yesterday at one in the afternoon, the fever left him."
Zvino akavabvunza awa raakatanga kunaya. Zvino vakati kwaari: Zuro neawa rechinomwe fivhiri yakamuregedza.
53 So the father knew that it was at that hour in which Jesus said to him, "Your son lives." He believed, as did his whole house.
Naizvozvo baba vakaziva kuti maiva imo muawa Jesu maakati kwaari: Mwanakomana wako anorarama; zvino akatenda iye neimba yake yese.
54 This is again the second sign that Jesus did, having come out of Judea into Galilee.
Ichizve chiratidzo chechipiri Jesu chaakaita, abva Judhiya asvika Garirea.
