John 2
1 And the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.
Al tercer día hubo unas bodas en Caná de Galilea y estaba allí la madre de Jesús.
2 Now Jesus also was invited, with his disciples, to the wedding.
Jesús también fue invitado a estas bodas, como asimismo sus discípulos.
3 And when the wine ran out, Jesus' mother said to him, "They have no wine."
Y llegando a faltar vino, la madre de Jesús le dijo: “No tienen vino”.
4 Jesus said to her, "Woman, what does that have to do with you and me? My hour has not yet come."
Jesús le dijo: “¿Qué ( nos va en esto ) a Mí y a ti, mujer? Mi hora no ha venido todavía”.
5 His mother said to the servants, "Whatever he says to you, do it."
Su madre dijo a los sirvientes: “Cualquier cosa que Él os diga, hacedla”.
6 Now there were six stone water jars set there after the Jewish manner of purifying, containing two or three metretes apiece.
Había allí seis tinajas de piedra para las purificaciones de los judíos, que contenían cada una dos o tres metretas.
7 Jesus said to them, "Fill the water jars with water." They filled them up to the brim.
Jesús les dijo: “Llenad las tinajas de agua”; y las llenaron hasta arriba.
8 He said to them, "Now draw some out, and take it to the ruler of the feast." So they took it.
Entonces les dijo: “Ahora sacad y llevad al maestresala”; y le llevaron.
9 When the ruler of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the ruler of the feast called the bridegroom,
Cuando el maestresala probó el agua convertida en vino, cuya procedencia ignoraba —aunque la conocían los sirvientes que habían sacado el agua—, llamó al novio
10 and said to him, "Everyone serves the good wine first, and when the guests have drunk freely, then that which is worse. You have kept the good wine until now."
y le dijo: “Todo el mundo sirve primero el buen vino, y después, cuando han bebido bien, el menos bueno; pero tú has conservado el buen vino hasta este momento”.
11 This beginning of his signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.
Tal fue el comienzo que dio Jesús a sus milagros, en Caná de Galilea; y manifestó su gloria, y sus discípulos creyeron en Él.
12 After this, he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother and brothers, and his disciples; and they stayed there a few days.
Después de esto descendió a Cafarnaúm con su madre, sus hermanos y sus discípulos, y se quedaron allí no muchos días.
13 The Jewish Passover was near, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
La Pascua de los judíos estaba próxima, y Jesús subió a Jerusalén.
14 And he found in the temple those who sold oxen, sheep, and doves, and the money changers sitting.
En el Templo encontró a los mercaderes de bueyes, de ovejas y de palomas, y a los cambistas sentados ( a sus mesas ).
15 And he made a whip of cords, and threw all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and he poured out the changers' money, and overthrew their tables.
Y haciendo un azote de cuerdas, arrojó del Templo a todos, con las ovejas y los bueyes; desparramó las monedas de los cambistas y volcó sus mesas.
16 To those who sold the doves, he said, "Take these things out of here. Do not make my Father's house a marketplace."
Y a los vendedores de palomas les dijo: “Quitad esto de aquí; no hagáis de la casa de mi Padre un mercado”.
17 His disciples remembered that it was written, "Zeal for your house will consume me."
Y sus discípulos se acordaron de que está escrito: “El celo de tu Casa me devora”.
18 The Jewish leaders therefore answered him, "What sign do you show us, seeing that you do these things?"
Entonces los judíos le dijeron: “¿Qué señal nos muestras, ya que haces estas cosas?”.
19 Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up."
Jesús les respondió: “Destruid este Templo, y en tres días Yo lo volveré a levantar”.
20 The Jewish leaders therefore said, "It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?"
Replicáronle los judíos: “Se han empleado cuarenta y seis años en edificar este Templo, ¿y Tú, en tres días lo volverás a levantar?”
21 But he spoke of the temple of his body.
Pero Él hablaba del Templo de su cuerpo.
22 When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he said this, and they believed the Scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.
Y cuando hubo resucitado de entre los muertos, sus discípulos se acordaron de que había dicho esto, y creyeron a la Escritura y a la palabra que Jesús había dicho.
23 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in his name, after seeing his signs which he did.
Mientras Él estaba en Jerusalén, durante la fiesta de Pascua, muchos creyeron en su nombre, viendo los milagros que hacía.
24 But Jesus did not trust himself to them, because he knew everyone,
Pero Jesús no se fiaba de ellos, porque a todos los conocía,
25 and because he did not need anyone to testify concerning man; for he himself knew what was in man.
y no necesitaba de informes acerca del hombre, conociendo por sí mismo lo que hay en el hombre.
