< Jeremiah 45 >

1 The message that Jeremiah the prophet spoke to Baruch the son of Neriah, when he wrote these words in a scroll at the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, saying,
Izvi ndizvo zvakataurwa nomuprofita Jeremia kuna Bharuki mwanakomana waNeria, mugore rechina raJehoyakimi mwanakomana waJosia mambo weJudha, shure kwokunyora kwaBharuki rugwaro rwamashoko aJeremia aakanga achimudaidzira, achiti,
2 "Thus says YHWH, the God of Israel, to you, Baruch:
“Zvanzi naJehovha, Mwari waIsraeri, kunewe Bharuki:
3 'You said, "Woe is me now. For YHWH has added sorrow to my pain; I am weary with my groaning, and I find no rest."'"
Iwe wakati, ‘Ndine nhamo! Jehovha apamhidzira kusuwa pakurwadziwa kwangu; ndaneta nokugomera uye ndashayiwa zororo.’”
4 "You shall tell him, 'Thus says YHWH: "Look, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up; and this in the whole land.
Jehovha akati, “Uti kwaari, ‘Zvanzi naJehovha: Ndichakoromora zvandakavaka uye ndichadzura zvandakasima panyika yose.
5 Do you seek great things for yourself? Do not seek them; for, look, I will bring disaster on all flesh, says YHWH; but your life will I give to you for a reward in all places where you go."'"
Iwe ungazvitsvakira zvinhu zvikuru here? Usazvitsvaka. Nokuti ndichauyisa njodzi pamusoro pavanhu vose, ndizvo zvinotaura Jehovha, asi ndichaita kuti utize noupenyu hwako kwose kwaunoenda.’”
