Jeremiah 43

1 It happened that, when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking to all the people all the words of YHWH their God, with which YHWH their God had sent him to them, even all these words,

Und es geschah, als Jirmejahu vollendet hatte zu reden zu allem Volk alle Worte Jehovahs, ihres Gottes, die Jehovah, ihr Gott, an sie durch ihn gesandt hatte, alle diese Worte,

2 then spoke Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the proud men, saying to Jeremiah, "You speak falsely. YHWH our God has not sent you to say, 'You shall not go into Egypt to live there';

Da sprach Asarjah, Hoschajahs Sohn, und Jochanan, Kareachs Sohn, und alle vermessenen Männer, und sprachen zu Jirmejahu: Lüge redest du. Jehovah, unser Gott, hat dich nicht gesandt zu sprechen: Kommt nicht nach Ägypten, als Fremdlinge dort zu weilen;

3 but Baruch the son of Neriah sets you on against us, to deliver us into the hand of the Chaldeans, that they may put us to death, and carry us away captive to Babylon."

Denn Baruch, der Sohn Nerijahs, hat dich angetrieben wider uns, damit er uns in der Chaldäer Hand gebe, daß sie uns töten und uns nach Babel wegführen.

4 So Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, and all the people, did not obey the voice of YHWH, to dwell in the land of Judah.

Und Jochanan, Kareachs Sohn, und alle Obersten der Streitmächte und das ganze Volk hörten nicht auf Jehovahs Stimme, daß sie im Lande Jehudah wohnen sollten.

5 But Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, took all the remnant of Judah, who were returned from all the nations where they had been driven, to live in the land of Judah;

Und Jochanan, der Sohn Kareachs, und alle Obersten der Streitmächte nahmen allen Überrest von Jehudah, die, so von allen Völkerschaften, dahin sie verstoßen worden, zurückgekommen waren, um im Lande Jehudah zu weilen,

6 the men, and the women, and the children, and the king's daughters, and every person who Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had left with Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan; and Jeremiah the prophet, and Baruch the son of Neriah;

Die Männer und die Weiber und die Kindlein und die Töchter des Königs und jede Seele, die Nebusaradan, der Hauptmann der Leibwachen bei Gedaljahu, dem Sohne Achikams, des Sohnes von Schaphan, und bei Jirmejahu, dem Propheten, und bei Baruch, Nerijahs Sohn, gelassen hatte,

7 and they came into the land of Egypt; for they did not obey the voice of YHWH: and they came to Tahpanhes.

Und sie gingen ein in das Land Ägypten, weil sie nicht auf die Stimme Jehovahs hörten, und kamen bis Thachpanches.

8 Then came the word of YHWH to Jeremiah in Tahpanhes, saying,

Und es geschah das Wort Jehovahs an Jirmejahu in Thachpanches, sprechend:

9 "Take great stones in your hand, and hide them in mortar in the brick work, which is at the entry of Pharaoh's house in Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men of Judah;

Nimm in deine Hand große Steine und lege sie hehlings in den Lehm im Ziegelofen an den Eingang in das Haus Pharos, in Thachpanches vor den Augen der jüdischen Männer,

10 and tell them, 'Thus says YHWH of hosts, the God of Israel: "Look, I will send and take Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will set his throne on these stones that I have hidden; and he shall spread his royal pavilion over them.

Und sprich zu ihnen: Also spricht Jehovah der Heerscharen, der Gott Israels: Siehe, Ich sende und hole Nebuchadrezzar, Babels König, meinen Knecht, und setze seinen Thron über diese Steine, die Ich hehlings hingelegt habe, und er spanne sein Gezelt aus über sie.

11 He shall come, and shall strike the land of Egypt; such as are for death shall be put to death, and such as are for captivity to captivity, and such as are for the sword to the sword.

Und er kommt und schlägt das Land Ägypten: mit dem Tode die, so des Todes sind, mit Gefangenschaft die, so für Gefangenschaft sind, mit dem Schwert, die für das Schwert sind.

12 I will kindle a fire in the houses of the gods of Egypt; and he shall burn them, and carry them away captive: and he shall array himself with the land of Egypt, as a shepherd puts on his garment; and he shall go forth from there in peace.

Und Feuer zünde Ich an in den Häusern der Götter Ägyptens, daß er sie verbrenne, und sie gefangen führe und sich umhülle mit dem Lande Ägypten, wie der Hirt sich mit seinem Kleid umhüllt und geht aus davon im Frieden.

13 He shall also break the pillars of Beth Shemesh, that is in the land of Egypt; and the houses of the gods of Egypt shall he burn with fire."'"

Und soll die Bildsäulen des Sonnenhauses im Lande Ägypten zerbrechen und die Häuser der Götter Ägyptens mit Feuer verbrennen.
