< Isaiah 53 >

1 YHWH, who has believed our message? And to whom has the arm of YHWH been revealed?
Hwan na wagye yɛn asɛnka no adie, na Awurade abasa no, hwan so na ada adie?
2 For he grew up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nor special appearance that we should desire him.
3 He was despised, and rejected by people; a man of sorrows, and familiar with illness; and as one from whom people hide their face. He was despised, and we did not value him.
Nnipa bɔɔ no ahohora na wɔpoo no, Ɔwerɛhoni a ɔnim ɔyea. Yɛdanee yɛn ani a yɛanhwɛ no mpo; wɔbuu no animtiaa na yɛn nso, yɛammu no.
4 Surely he bore our diseases, and took our pains; yet we considered him stricken, and struck down by God, and afflicted.
Ampa ara ɔfaa yɛn mmerɛyɛ, na ɔsoaa yɛn awerɛhoɔ, nanso yɛbuu no sɛ Onyankopɔn na watwe nʼaso. Yebuu no sɛ Onyankopɔn na wabɔ no na wadwerɛ no.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, and he was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed.
Nanso, yɛn mmarato enti na wɔpiraa noɔ, yɛn amumuyɛ enti na wɔdwerɛɛ no; asotwe a ɛde asomdwoeɛ brɛɛ yɛn no daa no so, na nʼapirakuro mu na yɛnya ayaresa.
6 We all like sheep have gone astray. Everyone has turned to his own way; and YHWH has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Yɛn nyinaa ayera yera te sɛ nnwan, yɛn mu biara afa ne kwan; na Awurade de yɛn nyinaa amumuyɛ asoa.
7 He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he did not open his mouth. He was led like a sheep to the slaughter, and like a lamb before its shearer is silent, so he does not open his mouth.
Wɔhyɛɛ no so, yɛɛ no aniɛyaa, nanso wammue nʼano; wɔde no kɔɔeɛ te sɛ odwammaa a wɔrekɔku no. Sɛdeɛ odwammaa yɛ dinn wɔ ne nwitwitwafoɔ anim no, saa ara na wammue nʼano.
8 In his oppression his justice was taken away. Who will consider his generation? For his life was cut off from the earth. For the transgression of my people he was led to death.
Wɔnam nhyɛsoɔ ne atemmuo so faa no kɔɔeɛ. Na hwan na ɔbɛtumi aka nʼasefoɔ ho asɛm? Ɛfiri sɛ wɔyii no firii asase yi so; me nkurɔfoɔ mmarato enti, wɔtwee nʼaso.
9 And they assigned his grave with the wicked, yet with the rich at his death, though he had committed no sin, nor was deceit found in his mouth.
Wɔyɛɛ ne damena wɔ abɔnefoɔ mu, na ne wuo mu, wɔde no too adefoɔ mu ɛwom sɛ wanyɛ akakabensɛm biara, na obiara ante atorɔsɛm biara amfiri nʼano.
10 Yet YHWH was pleased to crush him and make him ill. Although his soul is made a reparation offering, he will see his offspring, he will prolong his days, and the desire of YHWH will succeed by his hand.
Nanso ɛyɛɛ Awurade pɛ sɛ ɔbɛdwerɛ no ama no ahunu amane. Mpo ɔde ne nkwa ayɛ afɔdie afɔrebɔdeɛ. Ɔbɛhunu nʼasefoɔ na ne nna bɛware, na Awurade pɛ bɛkɔ so wɔ ne nsam.
11 After the suffering of his soul he will see light and be satisfied by his knowledge. The righteous one, my servant, will make many righteous, and he will bear their iniquities.
Ne kra amanehunu akyi, ɔbɛhunu nkwa hann, na ne bo atɔ ne yam; na ne suahunu mu, me ɔsomfoɔ teneneeni no bɛbu bebree bem, na wasoa wɔn amumuyɛ.
12 Therefore I will divide him a portion with the great, and he will divide the spoil with the strong; because he poured out his soul to death, and he was numbered with transgressors; yet he bore the sins of many, and made intercession for their transgressions.
