Isaiah 50
1 Thus says YHWH, "Where is the bill of your mother's divorce, with which I have put her away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Look, for your iniquities were you sold, and for your transgressions was your mother put away.
Así dijo el SEÑOR: ¿Qué es de esta carta de repudio de vuestra madre, a la cual yo repudié? ¿O quiénes son mis acreedores, a quien yo os he vendido? He aquí, que por vuestras maldades sois vendidos; y por vuestras rebeliones fue repudiada vuestra madre,
2 Why, when I came, was there no man? When I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it can't redeem? or have I no power to deliver? Look, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stink, because there is no water, and die for thirst.
porque vine, y nadie apareció; llamé, y nadie respondió. ¿Ha llegado a acortarse mi mano, para no redimir? ¿No hay en mí poder para librar? He aquí que con mi reprensión hago secar el mar; torno los ríos en desierto; hasta pudrirse sus peces, y morirse de sed por falta de agua.
3 I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering."
Visto de oscuridad los cielos, y torno como saco de cilicio su cobertura.
4 YHWH has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with a word him who is weary: he wakens morning by morning, he wakens my ear to hear as those who are taught.
El Señor DIOS me dio lengua de sabios, para saber dar en su sazón palabra al cansado: despertará de mañana, de mañana me despertará mi oído, para que oiga, como los sabios.
5 YHWH has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away backward.
El Señor DIOS me abrió el oído, y yo no fui rebelde; ni me torné atrás.
6 I gave my back to those who strike, and my cheeks to those who tore out my beard; I did not cover my face from insults and spitting.
Di mi cuerpo a los heridores; y mis mejillas a los peladores; no escondí mi rostro de las injurias y esputos.
7 But YHWH will help me; therefore I have not been confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be disappointed.
Porque el Señor DIOS me ayudará, por tanto no me avergoncé, por eso puse mi rostro como un pedernal, y sé que no seré avergonzado.
8 He is near who justifies me; who will bring charges against me? Let us stand up together: who is my adversary? Let him come near to me.
Cercano está de mí el que me justifica, ¿quién contenderá conmigo? Juntémonos. ¿Quién es el adversario de mi causa? Acérquese a mí.
9 Look, YHWH will help me; who is he who shall condemn me? Look, all they shall wax old as a garment, the moth shall eat them up.
He aquí que el Señor DIOS me ayudará; ¿quién hay que me condene? He aquí que todos ellos como ropa de vestir se envejecerán; los comerá polilla.
10 Who is among you who fears YHWH, who listens to the voice of his servant? He who walks in darkness, and has no light, let him trust in the name of YHWH, and rely on his God.
¿Quién hay entre vosotros, que teme al SEÑOR? Oiga la voz de su siervo. El que anduvo en tinieblas, y el que careció de luz, confíe en el nombre del SEÑOR, y recuéstese sobre su Dios.
11 Look, all you who kindle a fire, who adorn yourselves with flaming arrows around yourselves; walk in the light of your fire, and among the flaming arrows that you have kindled. You shall have this of my hand; you shall lie down in sorrow.
He aquí, que todos vosotros encendéis fuego, y estáis cercados de centellas; andad a la lumbre de vuestro fuego; y a las centellas, que encendisteis. De mi mano os vino esto; en dolor seréis sepultados.
