Isaiah 49

1 Listen, islands, to me; and listen, you peoples, from far: YHWH has called me from the womb; from the body of my mother has he made mention of my name:

ദ്വീപുകളേ, എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾപ്പിൻ; ദൂരത്തുള്ള വംശങ്ങളേ, ശ്രദ്ധിപ്പിൻ; യഹോവ എന്നെ ഗൎഭംമുതൽ വിളിച്ചു; എന്റെ അമ്മയുടെ ഉദരത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കയിൽ തന്നേ എന്റെ പേർ പ്രസ്താവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

2 and he has made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand, he has hidden me; and he has made me a polished arrow, in his quiver has he kept me close:

അവൻ എന്റെ വായെ മൂൎച്ചയുള്ള വാൾപോലെയാക്കി തന്റെ കയ്യുടെ നിഴലിൽ എന്നെ ഒളിപ്പിച്ചു; അവൻ എന്നെ മിനുക്കിയ അമ്പാക്കി തന്റെ പൂണയിൽ മറെച്ചുവെച്ചു, എന്നോടു:

3 and he said to me, "You are my servant; Israel, in whom I will be glorified."

യിസ്രായേലേ, നീ എന്റെ ദാസൻ; ഞാൻ നിന്നിൽ മഹത്വീകരിക്കപ്പെടും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

4 But I said, "I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing and vanity; yet surely the justice due to me is with YHWH, and my reward with my God."

ഞാനോ; ഞാൻ വെറുതെ അദ്ധ്വാനിച്ചു; എന്റെ ശക്തിയെ വ്യൎത്ഥമായും നിഷ്ഫലമായും ചെലവഴിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; എങ്കിലും എന്റെ ന്യായം യഹോവയുടെ പക്കലും എന്റെ പ്രതിഫലം എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പക്കലും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

5 Now says YHWH who formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, and that Israel be gathered to him; for I am honorable in the eyes of YHWH, and my God has become my strength.

ഇപ്പോഴോ, യാക്കോബിനെ തന്റെ അടുക്കൽ തിരിച്ചുവരുത്തുവാനും യിസ്രായേലിനെ തനിക്കുവേണ്ടി ശേഖരിപ്പാനും എന്നെ ഗൎഭത്തിൽ തന്റെ ദാസനായി നിൎമ്മിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു - ഞാൻ യഹോവെക്കു മാന്യനും എന്റെ ദൈവം എന്റെ ബലവും ആകുന്നു:

6 And he says, "Is it too insignificant a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the remnant of Israel? I will also give you as a light to the nations, that you may bring salvation to the farthest part of the earth."

നീ യാക്കോബിന്റെ ഗോത്രങ്ങളെ എഴുന്നേല്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും യിസ്രായേലിൽ സൂക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരെ തിരിച്ചുവരുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നും എനിക്കു ദാസനായിരിക്കുന്നതു പോരാ; എന്റെ രക്ഷ ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റത്തോളം എത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ജാതികൾക്കു പ്രകാശമാക്കിവെച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

7 Thus says YHWH, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to the one who is despised, to those abhorred as a nation, the servant of rulers: "Kings shall see and arise; princes, and they shall worship; because of YHWH who is faithful, even the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you."

യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരനും അവന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനുമായ യഹോവ, സൎവ്വനിന്ദിതനും ജാതിക്കു വെറുപ്പുള്ളവനും അധിപതികളുടെ ദാസനുമായവനോടു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: വിശ്വസ്തനായ യഹോവനിമിത്തവും നിന്നെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത യിസ്രായേലിൻ പരിശുദ്ധൻ നിമിത്തവും രാജാക്കന്മാർ കണ്ടു എഴുന്നേല്ക്കയും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ കണ്ടു നമസ്കരിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

8 Thus says YHWH, "In an acceptable time I have answered you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you; and I will preserve you, and give you as a covenant to the people, to raise up the land, to make them inherit the desolate heritage:

യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: പ്രസാദകാലത്തു ഞാൻ നിനക്കു ഉത്തരം അരുളി; രക്ഷാദിവസത്തിൽ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ സഹായിച്ചു; ദേശത്തെ ഉയൎത്തുവാനും ശൂന്യമായി കിടക്കുന്ന അവകാശങ്ങളെ കൈവശമാക്കിക്കൊടുപ്പാനും ബന്ധിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരോടു: ഇറങ്ങിപെയ്ക്കൊൾവിൻ എന്നും അന്ധകാരത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നവരോടു: വെളിയിൽ വരുവിൻ എന്നും പറവാനും ഞാൻ നിന്നെ കാത്തു,

9 saying to those who are bound, 'Come out.'; to those who are in darkness, 'Show yourselves.' "They shall feed in the ways, and on all bare heights shall be their pasture.

നിന്നെ ജനത്തിന്റെ നിയമമാക്കി വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. അവർ വഴികളിൽ മേയും; എല്ലാപാഴ്കുന്നുകളിലും അവൎക്കു മേച്ചലുണ്ടാകും.

10 They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun strike them: for he who has mercy on them will lead them, even by springs of water he will guide them.

അവൎക്കു വിശക്കയില്ല, ദാഹിക്കയുമില്ല; മരീചികയും വെയിലും അവരെ ബാധിക്കയില്ല; അവരോടു കരുണയുള്ളവൻ അവരെ വഴിനടത്തുകയും നീരുറവുകൾക്കരികെ അവരെ കൊണ്ടുപോകയും ചെയ്യും.

11 I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted.

ഞാൻ എന്റെ മലകളെയൊക്കെയും വഴിയാക്കും; എന്റെ പെരുവഴികൾ പൊങ്ങിയിരിക്കും.

12 Look, these shall come from far; and look, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Syene."

ഇതാ, ഇവർ ദൂരത്തുനിന്നും ഇവർ വടക്കുനിന്നും പടിഞ്ഞാറുനിന്നും ഇവർ സീനീംദേശത്തുനിന്നും വരുന്നു.

13 Sing, heavens; and be joyful, earth; and break forth into singing, mountains: for YHWH has comforted his people, and will have compassion on his afflicted.

ആകാശമേ, ഘോഷിച്ചുല്ലസിക്ക; ഭൂമിയേ, ആനന്ദിക്ക; പൎവ്വതങ്ങളേ, പൊട്ടി ആൎക്കുവിൻ; യഹോവ തന്റെ ജനത്തെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; തന്റെ അരിഷ്ടന്മാരോടു കരുണ കാണിക്കുന്നു.

14 But Zion said, "YHWH has forsaken me, and my Lord has forgotten me."

സീയോനോ: യഹോവ എന്നെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു, കൎത്താവു എന്നെ മറന്നുകളഞ്ഞു എന്നു പറയുന്നു.

15 "Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you.

ഒരു സ്ത്രീ തന്റെ കുഞ്ഞിനെ മറക്കുമോ? താൻ പ്രസവിച്ച മകനോടു കരുണ, തോന്നാതിരിക്കുമോ? അവർ മറന്നുകളഞ്ഞാലും ഞാൻ നിന്നെ മറക്കയില്ല.

16 Look, I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me.

ഇതാ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ എന്റെ ഉള്ളങ്കയ്യിൽ വരെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ മതിലുകൾ എല്ലായ്പോഴും എന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

17 Your builders hurry; your destroyers and those who devastated you shall depart from you.

നിന്റെ മക്കൾ ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു വരുന്നു; നിന്നെ നശിപ്പിച്ചവരും ശൂന്യമാക്കിയവരും നിന്നെ വിട്ടുപോകുന്നു.

18 Lift up your eyes all around, and see: all these gather themselves together, and come to you. As I live," says YHWH, "you shall surely clothe yourself with them all as with an ornament, and dress yourself with them, like a bride.

തലപൊക്കി ചുറ്റും നോക്കുക; ഇവർ എല്ലാവരും നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു കൂടുന്നു. എന്നാണ, നീ അവരെ ഒക്കെയും ആഭരണംപോലെ അണികയും ഒരു മണവാട്ടി എന്നപോലെ അവരെ അരെക്കു കെട്ടുകയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

19 "For, as for your waste and your desolate places, and your land that has been destroyed, surely now you shall be too small for the inhabitants, and those who swallowed you up shall be far away.

നിന്റെ ശൂന്യസ്ഥലങ്ങളും പാഴിടങ്ങളും നാശം ഭവിച്ച ദേശവുമോ ഇപ്പോൾ നിവാസികൾക്കു പോരാതെവരും; നിന്നെ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളഞ്ഞവർ ദൂരത്തു അകന്നിരിക്കും.

20 The children of your bereavement shall yet say in your ears, The place is too small for me; give place to me that I may dwell.

നിന്റെ പുത്രഹീനതയിലെ മക്കൾ: സ്ഥലം പോരാതിരിക്കുന്നു; പാൎപ്പാൻ സ്ഥലം തരിക എന്നു നിന്നോടു പറയും.

21 Then you will say in your heart, 'Who has conceived these for me, since I have been bereaved of my children, and am solitary, an exile, and wandering back and forth? Who has brought up these? Look, I was left alone; these, where were they?'"

അപ്പോൾ നീ നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ: ഞാൻ പുത്രഹീനയും വന്ധ്യയും പ്രവാസിനിയും അലഞ്ഞു നടക്കുന്നവളും ആയിരിക്കേ ആർ ഇവരെ പ്രസവിച്ചു വളൎത്തിത്തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു? ഞാൻ ഏകാകിയായിരുന്നുവല്ലോ; ഇവർ എവിടെ ആയിരുന്നു എന്നു പറയും.

22 Thus says the Lord YHWH, "Look, I will lift up my hand to the nations, and set up my banner to the peoples; and they shall bring your sons in their bosom, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders.

യഹോവയായ കൎത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഞാൻ ജാതികൾക്കു എന്റെ കൈ ഉയൎത്തുകയും വംശങ്ങൾക്കു എന്റെ കൊടി കാണിക്കയും ചെയ്യും; അവർ നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെ തങ്ങളുടെ മാൎവ്വിൽ അണെച്ചും പുത്രിമാരെ തോളിൽ എടുത്തും കൊണ്ടു വരും.

23 Kings shall be your nursing fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers: they shall bow down to you with their faces to the earth, and lick the dust of your feet; and you shall know that I am YHWH; and those who wait for me shall not be disappointed."

രാജാക്കന്മാർ നിന്റെ പോറ്റപ്പന്മാരും അവരുടെ രാജ്ഞികൾ നിന്റെ പോറ്റമ്മമാരും ആയിരിക്കും; അവർ നിന്നെ സാഷ്ടാംഗം വണങ്ങി, നിന്റെ കാലിലെ പൊടി നക്കും; ഞാൻ യഹോവ എന്നും എനിക്കായി കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നവർ ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകയില്ല എന്നും നീ അറിയും.

24 Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the captives of a tyrant be delivered?

ബലവാനോടു അവന്റെ കവൎച്ച എടുത്തുകളയാമോ? അല്ല, നിഷ്കണ്ടകന്റെ ബദ്ധന്മാരെ വിടുവിക്കാമോ?

25 But thus says YHWH, "Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the tyrant shall be delivered; for I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will save your children.

എന്നാൽ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ബലവാനോടു ബദ്ധന്മാരെ എടുത്തുകളയാം; നിഷ്കണ്ടകന്റെ കവൎച്ചയെയും വിടുവിക്കാം; നിന്നോടു പോരാടുന്നവനോടു ഞാൻ പോരാടുകയും നിന്റെ മക്കളെ രക്ഷിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

26 I will feed those who oppress you with their own flesh; and they shall be drunk with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I, YHWH, am your Savior, and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob."

നിന്നെ ഞെരുക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാൻ അവരുടെ സ്വന്തമാംസം തീറ്റും; വീഞ്ഞുപോലെ സ്വന്തരക്തം കുടിച്ചു അവൎക്കു ലഹരി പിടിക്കും; യഹോവയായ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവും യാക്കോബിന്റെ വീരൻ നിന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരനും ആകുന്നു എന്നു സകലജഡവും അറിയും.
