Hebrews 4
1 Let us fear therefore, lest perhaps anyone of you should seem to have come short of a promise of entering into his rest.
И тъй, понеже ни остава обещание да влезем в Неговата почивка, нека се боим да не би да се открие, че някой от вас не е достигнал до нея.
2 For indeed we have had good news preached to us, even as they also did, but the word they heard did not profit them, because they were not united by faith with those who heard.
Защото на нас се донесе едно благовестие, както и на тях; но словото, което те чуха, не ги ползува, понеже не се съедини чрез вяра в ония, които го чуха.
3 For we who have believed do enter into that rest, even as he has said, "As I swore in my wrath, they will not enter into my rest;" although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
Затова ние, повярвалите, влизаме в тая почивка; както рече Бог:
4 For he has said this somewhere about the seventh day, "And God rested on the seventh day from all his works;"
Защото нейде си е говорил за самия ден така: "И почина си Бог на седмия ден от всичките Си дела";
5 and in this place again, "They will not enter into my rest."
а пък на това място: "Няма да влязат в Моята почивка".
6 Since therefore it remains for some to enter it, and they to whom the good news was before preached failed to enter in because of disobedience,
И тъй, понеже остава да влязат някои в нея, а ония, на които по-напред се благовести, не са влезли поради неверието ( Или: Непокорството ) си,
7 he again appoints a certain day, "Today," saying through David so long a time afterward (just as has been said), "Today if you will hear his voice, do not harden your hearts."
затова Той пак определя един ден, "днес", като казва толкоз време по-после чрез Давида, както вече рекохме: "Днес, ако чуете Неговия глас, Не закоравявайте сърдцата си".
8 For if Joshua had given them rest, he would not have spoken afterward of another day.
Защото, ако Исус Навиев беше им дал почивка, Бог не би говорил след това за друг ден.
9 There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God.
Следователно, за Божиите люде остава една съботна почивка. ( Виж. ст. 4. )
10 For he who has entered into his rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from his.
Защото оня, който е влязъл в Неговата почивка, той си е починал от своите дела, както и Бог от Своите Си.
11 Let us therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience.
Затова нека се постараем да влезем в тая почивка, за да не падне някой в това, да дава същия пример на неверие.
12 For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Защото Божието слово е живо, деятелно, по-остро от всеки меч остър и от двете страни, пронизва до разделяне душата и духа, ставите и мозъка, и издирва помислите и намеренията на сърдцето.
13 There is no creature that is hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
И няма създание, което да не е явно пред Бога; но всичко е голо и разкрито пред очите на Този, на Когото има да отговаряме.
14 Having then a great high priest, who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold tightly to our confession.
И тъй, като имаме велик Първосвещеник Исуса, Божия Син, Който е преминал до най-високите небеса, нека държим това, което сме изповядали.
15 For we do not have a high priest who cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin.
Защото нямаме такъв първосвещеник, Който да не може да състрадава с нас в нашите немощи, а имаме Един, Който е бил във всичко изкушен като нас, но пак без грях.
16 Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need.
Затова, нека пристъпваме с дръзновение към престола на благодатта, за да придобием милост, и да намерим благодат, която да помага благовременно.
