Ezekiel 1
1 Now it happened in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth of the month, as I was among the captives by the river Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.
മുപ്പതാംവർഷം നാലാംമാസം അഞ്ചാംതീയതി ഞാൻ കേബാർനദീതീരത്ത് പ്രവാസികളുടെ മധ്യേ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ സ്വർഗം തുറക്കപ്പെട്ടു; ഞാൻ ദൈവികദർശനങ്ങൾ കണ്ടു.
2 In the fifth of the month, which was the fifth year of king Jehoiachin's captivity,
യെഹോയാഖീൻ രാജാവിന്റെ പ്രവാസത്തിന്റെ അഞ്ചാംവർഷം നാലാംമാസം അഞ്ചാംതീയതി,
3 the word of YHWH came to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of YHWH came upon him.
ബാബേലിലെ കേബാർ നദീതീരത്തുവെച്ച് ബൂസിയുടെ മകനായ യെഹെസ്കേൽ പുരോഹിതന് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടുണ്ടായി. അവിടെവെച്ച് യഹോവയുടെ കൈ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെമേൽ വന്നു.
4 I looked, and look, a stormy wind came out of the north, a great cloud, with flashing lightning, and a brightness around it, and out of its midst as it were glowing metal, out of the midst of the fire.
ഞാൻ നോക്കിയപ്പോൾ, വടക്കുനിന്ന് ഒരു കൊടുങ്കാറ്റ് വരുന്നതു കണ്ടു—ജ്വലിക്കുന്ന മിന്നൽപ്പിണരുകളോടുകൂടിയതും ഉജ്ജ്വലപ്രകാശത്താൽ വലയംചെയ്തതുമായ ഒരു വലിയ മേഘംപോലെയായിരുന്നു ആ കൊടുങ്കാറ്റിന്റെ വരവ്. അതിന്റെ മധ്യഭാഗം വെട്ടിത്തിളങ്ങുന്ന ലോഹംപോലെ കാണപ്പെട്ടു.
5 Out of its midst came the likeness of four living creatures. This was their appearance: they had the likeness of a man.
അതിനുള്ളിൽ നാലു ജീവികൾക്കു തുല്യമായ രൂപങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. മനുഷ്യസാദൃശ്യമുള്ള ഒരു രൂപമായിരുന്നു അവയ്ക്ക്.
6 And each one had four faces, and each one of them had four wings.
അവ ഓരോന്നിനും നാലുമുഖവും നാലുചിറകും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു
7 Their legs were straight, and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot; and they sparkled like burnished bronze.
അവയുടെ കാലുകൾ ഋജുവും പാദങ്ങൾ കാളക്കിടാവിന്റെ കുളമ്പുപോലെയും ആയിരുന്നു. അവ മിനുക്കിയ വെങ്കലംപോലെ തിളങ്ങിയിരുന്നു.
8 They had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and the four of them had their faces and their wings thus:
അവയുടെ നാലുചിറകുകൾക്കും കീഴിൽ മനുഷ്യന്റേതുപോലെയുള്ള കൈകൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. നാലു ജീവികൾക്കും നാലുമുഖങ്ങളും നാലുചിറകുകളും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
9 their wings were joined one to another; they didn't turn when they went; each one went straight forward.
ഓരോന്നിന്റെ ചിറകുകളും മറ്റൊന്നിന്റെ ചിറകുകളോടു തൊട്ടിരുന്നു. അവ മുന്നോട്ടു പോകുമ്പോൾ വശങ്ങളിലേക്കൊന്നും തിരിയാതെ ഓരോന്നും നേരേ മുമ്പോട്ടുതന്നെ പൊയ്ക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
10 As for the likeness of their faces, they had the face of a man; and the four of them had the face of a lion on the right side; and the four of them had the face of an ox on the left side; the four of them also had the face of an eagle.
അവയുടെ മുഖത്തിന്റെ ആകൃതി ഇപ്രകാരമായിരുന്നു: നാലു ജീവികൾക്കും മുൻഭാഗത്തു മനുഷ്യമുഖമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു, വലതുഭാഗത്ത് സിംഹമുഖവും ഇടതുഭാഗത്ത് കാളയുടെ മുഖവും നാലിന്റെയും പിൻവശത്തു കഴുകന്റെ മുഖവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
11 Such were their faces. Their wings were spread out above. Two wings of each one touched another, and two covered their bodies.
ഇപ്രകാരമായിരുന്നു അവയുടെ മുഖങ്ങൾ. അവയുടെ ചിറകുകളിൽ രണ്ടെണ്ണം മേലോട്ടു വിരിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഓരോന്നിന്റെയും ഈരണ്ടു ചിറകുകൾ പരസ്പരം സ്പർശിച്ചും ഈരണ്ടു ചിറകുകൾ ശരീരത്തെ മറച്ചുമിരുന്നു,
12 Each one went straight forward: where the spirit would go, they went; they didn't turn when they went.
ഓരോന്നും നേരേ മുമ്പോട്ടുപോകും; പോകുമ്പോൾ അവ തിരിയാതെ ആത്മാവിനു പോകേണ്ടയിടത്തേക്കു പൊയ്ക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
13 And in the midst of the living creatures was an appearance of burning coals of fire, like the appearance of torches. The fire went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.
ഈ നാലു ജീവികളുടെ മധ്യത്തിൽ കത്തുന്ന തീക്കനൽപോലെയോ അവയ്ക്കിടയിൽത്തന്നെ മുന്നോട്ടും പിന്നോട്ടും ചലിക്കുന്ന പന്തംപോലെയോ ഉള്ള ഒരു കാഴ്ച ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ആ തീ ഉജ്ജ്വലമായിരുന്നു, അതിൽനിന്നു മിന്നൽപ്പിണരുകൾ പുറപ്പെട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
14 The living creatures darted back and forth, like the appearance of a flash of lightning.
ജീവികൾ മിന്നൽപ്പിണരുകൾപോലെ അങ്ങോട്ടും ഇങ്ങോട്ടും ഓടിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
15 Now as I saw the living creatures, look, there was a wheel on the ground beside each living creature with its four faces.
ഞാൻ ജീവികളെ നോക്കിയപ്പോൾ നിലത്ത് ഓരോന്നിന്റെയും അടുത്ത് ഓരോ ചക്രം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
16 And the appearance of the wheels and their work was like a beryl: and the four of them had the same likeness; and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel within a wheel.
ചക്രങ്ങളുടെ രൂപവും പണിയും തിളങ്ങുന്ന പുഷ്യരാഗംപോലെ ആയിരുന്നു, നാലിനും ഒരേ ആകൃതിയായിരുന്നു. അവയുടെ രൂപവും പണിയും ഒരു ചക്രത്തിനുള്ളിൽ മറ്റൊരു ചക്രം ഉള്ളതുപോലെ ആയിരുന്നു.
17 When they went, they went in their four directions: they didn't turn when they went.
അവ പോകുമ്പോഴെല്ലാം ജീവികൾ അഭിമുഖമായി നിന്നിരുന്ന നാലു ദിക്കുകളിൽ ഏതെങ്കിലും ദിക്കിലേക്ക് അവയ്ക്കു പോകാം; തിരിയേണ്ട ആവശ്യമില്ല.
18 As for their rims, they were high and awesome; and the four of them had their rims full of eyes all around.
നാലു ചക്രങ്ങളുടെയും ചുറ്റുവളയങ്ങൾ വളരെ ഉയരമുള്ളതും ഭയാനകവും ആയിരുന്നു. നാലിന്റെയും ചുറ്റുവളയങ്ങളുടെ ചുറ്റും കണ്ണുകൾ നിറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.
19 When the living creatures went, the wheels went beside them; and when the living creatures rose from the ground, the wheels also rose.
ജീവികൾ പോകുമ്പോഴെല്ലാം ചക്രങ്ങളും അവയോടൊപ്പം പൊയ്ക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു. ജീവികൾ ഭൂമിയിൽനിന്നു പറന്നുയരുമ്പോൾ ചക്രങ്ങളും ഉയർന്നിരുന്നു.
20 They went in whichever direction the spirit would go, and the wheels rose alongside them because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
ആത്മാവിന് ഏതു ദിക്കിലേക്കു പോകണമോ ആ ദിക്കിലേക്ക് അവ പൊയ്ക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു. ജീവികളുടെ ആത്മാവ് ചക്രങ്ങളിലായിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് ചക്രങ്ങളും അവയോടൊപ്പം ഉയർന്നിരുന്നു.
21 When those [the living creatures] moved, these [the wheels] moved; and when those [the living creatures] stood still, and when those [the living creatures] rose from the ground, the wheels rose alongside them because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
അവ പോകുമ്പോൾ ചക്രങ്ങളും പോകും; അവ നിൽക്കുമ്പോൾ ചക്രങ്ങളും നിൽക്കും. ജീവികൾ ഭൂമിയിൽനിന്നുയരുമ്പോൾ ചക്രങ്ങളും അവയോടൊപ്പം ഉയരും, കാരണം ജീവികളുടെ ആത്മാവ് ചക്രങ്ങളിലായിരുന്നു.
22 And over the heads of the living creatures there was the likeness of an expanse, like glittering ice, it was awesome to look upon, stretched out over their heads above.
ജീവികളുടെ തലയ്ക്കുമീതേ പളുങ്കുപോലെ വെട്ടിത്തിളങ്ങുന്ന അത്ഭുതകരമായ ഒരു വിതാനം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
23 Under the expanse their wings were straight, the one toward the other. And each one had two which covered its body.
വിതാനത്തിനുകീഴേ അവയുടെ ചിറകുകൾ നേർക്കുനേരേ വിരിച്ചിരുന്നു; ഓരോ ജീവിക്കും അവയുടെ ശരീരത്തിന്റെ ഇരുവശവും മറയ്ക്കുന്ന ഈരണ്ടു ചിറകുകളുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
24 When they went, I heard the noise of their wings like the noise of great waters, like the voice of Shaddai, a noise of tumult like the noise of an army: when they stood, they let down their wings.
അവ സഞ്ചരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവയുടെ ചിറകിന്റെ ഒച്ച പെരുവെള്ളത്തിന്റെ ഒച്ചപോലെയും സർവശക്തന്റെ നാദംപോലെയും ഒരു സൈന്യത്തിന്റെ ആരവംപോലെയും ഞാൻ കേട്ടു. അവ നിശ്ചലമായി നിൽക്കുമ്പോൾ ചിറകുകൾ താഴ്ത്തുമായിരുന്നു.
25 There was a voice above the expanse that was over their heads.
ജീവികൾ ചിറകുകൾ താഴ്ത്തിയിട്ടു നിൽക്കുമ്പോൾ അവയുടെ തലയ്ക്കുമീതേയുള്ള വിതാനത്തിനു മുകളിൽനിന്നും ഒരു ശബ്ദം പുറപ്പെട്ടു.
26 Above the expanse that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone; and on the likeness of the throne was a likeness as the appearance of a man on it above.
അവയുടെ തലയ്ക്കുമീതേയുള്ള വിതാനത്തിനുമേൽ, കാഴ്ചയിൽ ഇന്ദ്രനീലക്കല്ലിനു തുല്യമായി ഒരു സിംഹാസനത്തിന്റെ രൂപവും അതിന്മേൽ മനുഷ്യസാദൃശ്യമുള്ള ഒരു രൂപവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
27 I saw as it were glowing metal, as the appearance of fire within it all around, from the appearance of his waist and upward; and from the appearance of his waist and downward I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and there was brightness around him.
അവിടത്തെ അരക്കെട്ടുമുതൽ മേലോട്ടുള്ള ഭാഗം അഗ്നികൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞ് വെട്ടിത്തിളങ്ങുന്ന ലോഹംപോലെ കാണപ്പെട്ടു. അവിടത്തെ അരക്കെട്ടുമുതൽ താഴോട്ടുള്ള ഭാഗം അഗ്നിപോലെ ജ്വലിച്ചിരുന്നു; അവിടത്തേക്ക് ചുറ്റും ഉജ്ജ്വലപ്രകാശം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
28 As the appearance of the rainbow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness all around. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of YHWH. When I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard a voice speaking.
ചുറ്റുമുള്ള ശോഭ, മഴയുള്ള ദിവസം മേഘത്തിൽ കാണപ്പെടുന്ന മഴവില്ലിന്റെ ശോഭപോലെയായിരുന്നു. യഹോവയുടെ മഹത്ത്വത്തിന്റെ സാദൃശ്യം ഈ വിധത്തിലായിരുന്നു. അതു കണ്ടമാത്രയിൽ ഞാൻ കമിഴ്ന്നുവീണു; അപ്പോൾത്തന്നെ ഒരാൾ സംസാരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ശബ്ദവും ഞാൻ കേട്ടു.
