Ezekiel 9
1 Then he cried in my ears with a loud voice, saying, "Cause those who are in charge of the city to draw near, every man with his destroying weapon in his hand."
Entonces gritó en mis oídos con gran voz, diciendo: “Haz que se acerquen los que están a cargo de la ciudad, cada uno con su arma de destrucción en la mano”.
2 Look, six men came from the way of the Upper Gate, which lies toward the north, every man with his slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man in their midst clothed in linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side. They went in, and stood beside the bronze altar.
He aquí que seis hombres venían del camino de la puerta superior, que está hacia el norte, cada uno con su arma de matar en la mano. Un hombre en medio de ellos estaba vestido de lino, con un tintero de escritor a su lado. Entraron y se pararon junto al altar de bronce.
3 The glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon it was, to the threshold of the house: and he called to the man clothed in linen, who had the writer's inkhorn by his side.
La gloria del Dios de Israel subió desde el querubín, donde estaba, hasta el umbral de la casa; y llamó al hombre vestido de lino, que tenía a su lado el tintero del escritor.
4 YHWH said to him, "Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark on the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry over all the abominations that are done in its midst."
Yahvé le dijo: “Pasa por el centro de la ciudad, por el centro de Jerusalén, y pon una marca en la frente de los hombres que suspiran y lloran por todas las abominaciones que se hacen en ella.”
5 To the others he said in my hearing, "Go through the city after him, and strike: do not let your eye spare, neither have pity;
A los demás les dijo a mi oído: “Recorred la ciudad tras él y golpead. No dejéis de mirar, ni tengáis piedad.
6 kill utterly the old man, the young man and the virgin, and little children and women; but do not come near any man on whom is the mark: and begin at my sanctuary." Then they began at the old men that were before the house.
Matad completamente al anciano, al joven, a la virgen, a los niños y a las mujeres; pero no os acerquéis a ningún hombre en el que esté la marca. Comienza por mi santuario”. Entonces empezaron con los ancianos que estaban delante de la casa.
7 He said to them, "Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain. Go forth." They went forth, and struck in the city.
Les dijo: “Profanen la casa y llenen los atrios de muertos. Salid”. Salieron y golpearon en la ciudad.
8 It happened, while they were smiting, and I was left, that I fell on my face, and cried, and said, "Ah, YHWH. Will you destroy all the residue of Israel in your pouring out of your wrath on Jerusalem?"
Mientras ellos mataban y yo quedaba, me postré sobre mi rostro y grité diciendo: “¡Ah, Señor Yahvé! ¿Destruirás todo el residuo de Israel al derramar tu ira sobre Jerusalén?”
9 Then he said to me, "The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perversion: for they say, 'YHWH has forsaken the land, and YHWH doesn't see.'
Entonces me dijo: “La iniquidad de la casa de Israel y de Judá es muy grande, y la tierra está llena de sangre, y la ciudad llena de perversión; porque dicen: ‘Yahvé ha abandonado la tierra, y Yahvé no ve’.
10 As for me also, my eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will bring their way on their head."
En cuanto a mí también, mi ojo no perdonará, ni tendré piedad, sino que haré recaer su camino sobre su cabeza.”
11 Look, the man clothed in linen, who had the inkhorn by his side, reported the matter, saying, "I have done as you have commanded me."
He aquí que el hombre vestido de lino, que tenía el tintero a su lado, informó del asunto, diciendo: “He hecho lo que me has mandado”.
