Ezekiel 15

1 The word of YHWH came to me, saying,

യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

2 "Son of man, what is the vine tree more than any tree, the vine-branch which is among the trees of the forest?

മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, കാട്ടിലെ വൃക്ഷങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഒരു ചെടിയായിരിക്കുന്ന മുന്തിരിവള്ളിക്കു മറ്റു മരത്തെക്കാൾ എന്തു വിശേഷതയുള്ളു?

3 Shall wood be taken of it to make any work? Or will men take a pin of it to hang any vessel thereon?

വല്ല പണിക്കും കൊള്ളിപ്പാൻ അതിൽനിന്നു മരം എടുക്കാമോ? വല്ല സാധനവും തൂക്കിയിടേണ്ടതിന്നു അതുകൊണ്ടു ഒരാണി ഉണ്ടാക്കാമോ?

4 Look, it is cast into the fire for fuel; the fire has devoured both its ends, and its midst is burned: is it profitable for any work?

അതിനെ തീക്കു ഇരയായി കൊടുക്കുന്നു; തീ അതിന്റെ രണ്ടു അറ്റവും ദഹിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അതിന്റെ നടുമുറിയും വെന്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇനി അതു വല്ല പണിക്കും കൊള്ളുമോ?

5 Look, when it was whole, it was meet for no work: how much less, when the fire has devoured it, and it is burned, shall it yet be meet for any work.

അതു മുഴുവനായിരുന്നപ്പോൾതന്നേ ഒരു പണിക്കും കൊള്ളാതിരുന്നു; തീ അതിനെ ദഹിപ്പിക്കയും അതു ദഹിച്ചുപോകയും ചെയ്തശേഷം വല്ല പണിക്കും കൊള്ളുമോ?

6 "Therefore thus says YHWH: 'As the vine tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയായ കൎത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: കാട്ടിലെ വൃക്ഷങ്ങളിൽ ഞാൻ തീക്കിരിയാക്കിക്കൊടുത്ത മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയെപ്പോലെ ഞാൻ യെരൂശലേംനിവാസികളെയും ആക്കും.

7 I will set my face against them; they shall go forth from the fire, but the fire shall devour them; and you shall know that I am YHWH, when I set my face against them.

ഞാൻ അവൎക്കു വിരോധമായി മുഖം തിരിക്കും; അവർ തീയിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലും അവർ തീക്കു ഇരയായിത്തീരും; ഞാൻ അവൎക്കു വിരോധമായി മുഖം തിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ യഹോവ എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയും.

8 I will make the land desolate, because they have committed a trespass,' says YHWH."

അവർ ദ്രോഹം ചെയ്കകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ ദേശത്തെ ശൂന്യമാക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയായ കൎത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.
