Deuteronomy 30
1 It shall happen, when all these things have come on you, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before you, and you shall call them to mind among all the nations, where YHWH your God has driven you,
૧અને એમ થશે કે જયારે આ બાબતો એટલે કે આશીર્વાદો તથા શાપો જે મેં તમારી આગળ મૂક્યા છે તે તમારા પર આવશે અને જે સર્વ દેશોમાં યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વરે તમને વિખેરી મૂક્યા હશે ત્યારે તે બાબતોને યાદ રાખીને,
2 and shall return to YHWH your God, and shall obey his voice according to all that I command you this day, you and your children, with all your heart, and with all your soul;
૨તમે યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વરની પાસે પાછા આવશો અને જે સર્વ આજ્ઞાઓ હું આજે તમને ફરમાવું છું, તે તમે તથા તમારા સંતાન પૂરા હૃદયથી તથા પૂરા અંત: કરણથી પાળશો તથા તેમનો અવાજ સાંભળશો,
3 that then YHWH your God will turn your captivity, and have compassion on you, and will return and gather you from all the peoples, where YHWH your God has scattered you.
૩તો યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વર તમારી ગુલામી ફેરવી નાખશે, તમારા પર દયા કરશે; અને પાછા આવીને જે બધા લોકોમાં યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વરે તમને વિખેરી નાખ્યો હશે તેઓમાંથી તમને એકત્ર કરશે.
4 If any of you are driven out to the farthest horizon, from there will YHWH your God gather you, and from there he will bring you back:
૪જો તમારામાંના દેશનિકાલ કરાયેલામાંના કોઈ આકાશ નીચેના દૂરના દેશોમાં વસ્યા હશે, ત્યાંથી યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વર તમને એકત્ર કરશે, ત્યાંથી તે તમને લાવશે.
5 and YHWH your God will bring you into the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it; and he will do you good, and multiply you above your fathers.
૫જે દેશ તમારા પિતૃઓના કબજામાં હતો, તેમાં યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વર તમને લાવશે, તમે ફરીથી તેનો કબજો કરશો, તે તમારું ભલું કરશે અને તમારા પિતૃઓ કરતાં તમને વધારશે.
6 YHWH your God will circumcise your heart, and the heart of your descendants, to love YHWH your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, that you may live.
૬યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વર તમારાં તથા તમારાં સંતાનોનાં હૃદયની સુન્નત કરશે, જેથી તમે યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વરને તમારા પૂરા હૃદયથી તથા પૂરા અંત: કરણથી પ્રેમ કરો, અને જીવતા રહો.
7 YHWH your God will put all these curses on your enemies, and on those who hate you, who persecuted you.
૭યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વર આ બધા શાપો તમારા શત્રુઓ પર તથા તમને ધિક્કારનાર પર મોકલી આપશે.
8 You shall return and obey the voice of YHWH, and do all his commandments which I command you this day.
૮તમે પાછા ફરીને યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વરનો અવાજ સાંભળશો, આજે હું તને જે આજ્ઞાઓ ફરમાવું છું તેનું તમે પાલન કરશો.
9 YHWH your God will make you plenteous in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your womb, and in the fruit of your ground, and in the fruit of your livestock, for YHWH will again rejoice over you for good, as he rejoiced over your fathers;
૯યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વર તમારા હાથનાં સર્વ કામમાં, તમારાં સંતાનોમાં, તમારાં પશુઓનાં બચ્ચામાં, તમારી ભૂમિના ફળમાં પુષ્કળ વૃદ્ધિ કરશે. જેમ યહોવાહ તમારા પિતૃઓ પર પ્રસન્ન હતા તેમ તેઓ ફરી તમારા હિતને માટે પ્રસન્ન થશે.
10 if you shall obey the voice of YHWH your God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law; if you turn to YHWH your God with all your heart, and with all your soul.
૧૦યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વરનો અવાજ સાંભળીને તેઓની જે આજ્ઞાઓ તથા કાનૂનો લખેલાં છે તે તમે પાળશો અને તમે તમારા પૂરા અંત: કરણથી યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વરની તરફ ફરશો તો એ પ્રમાણે થશે.
11 For this commandment which I command you this day is not too difficult for you, nor is it far off.
૧૧કેમ કે આજે હું તમને જે આજ્ઞાઓ ફરમાવું છું તે તમારી શક્તિ ઉપરાંતની નથી, તેમ તમારાથી એટલી દૂર પણ નથી કે તમે પહોંચી ન શકો.
12 It is not in heaven, that you should say, "Who will go up into heaven for us, and get it for us, and proclaim it to us, that we may obey it?"
૧૨તે આકાશમાં નથી કે તમે કહો કે, ‘કોણ આપણે માટે ઉપર જઈને લાવીને આપણને સંભળાવે કે આપણે તે પાળીએ?’”
13 And it is not in the deep of the sea, that you should say, "Who will go down into the deep of the sea for us, and get it for us, and proclaim it to us, so that we may obey it?"
૧૩વળી તે સમુદ્રને પેલે પાર પણ નથી કે તમે કહો કે, ‘કોણ સમુદ્રને પેલે પર જઈને લાવીને અમને સંભળાવે જેથી અમે તેનું પાલન કરીએ?’
14 But the word is very near to you; it is in your mouth and in your heart and in your hand, so that you can do it.
૧૪પરંતુ તે વચન તો તમારી નજીક છે, તમારા મુખમાં અને તારા હૃદયમાં છે, કે જેથી તમે તેને પાળી શકો.
15 Look, I have set before you this day life and good, and death and evil.
૧૫જુઓ, આજે મેં તમારી આગળ જીવન તથા સારું, મરણ તથા ખોટું મૂક્યાં છે.
16 If you obey the commandments of YHWH your God that I command you this day to love YHWH your God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his ordinances, then you will live and multiply, and YHWH your God will bless you in the land where you are going to possess it.
૧૬આજે હું તમને યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વરની જે આજ્ઞાઓ ફરમાવું છું એટલે કે યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વરને પ્રેમ કરવો, તેમના માર્ગોમાં ચાલવું, તેમની આજ્ઞાઓ, નિયમો અને કાનૂનો પાળવા, કે જેથી તમે જીવતા રહેશો. અને તમારી વૃદ્ધિ થશે, જે દેશનું વતન પામવા તમે જાઓ છો તેમાં યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વર તમને આશીર્વાદ આપશે.
17 But if your heart turns away, and you will not hear, but shall be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;
૧૭પરંતુ જુઓ તમારું હૃદય તેમનાંથી દૂર થઈ જાય અને તમે તેમનું સાંભળો નહિ, પણ તેમનાંથી દૂર થઈને બીજા દેવોનું ભજન તથા પૂજા કરો,
18 I declare to you this day that you will certainly perish; you will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess.
૧૮તો આજે હું તમને જણાવું છું કે તમે નિશ્ચે નાશ પામશો, યર્દન ઓળંગીને તમે જે દેશમાં વતન પામવા જઈ રહ્યા છો, ત્યાં તમે તમારું આયુષ્ય ભોગવી નહિ શકો.
19 I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse: therefore choose life, that you may live, you and your descendants;
૧૯હું આજે આકાશ તથા પૃથ્વીને તમારી આગળ સાક્ષી રાખું છું કે મેં તમારી આગળ જીવન તથા મરણ, આશીર્વાદ તથા શાપ મૂક્યાં છે. માટે જીવન પસંદ કરો કે જેથી તમે અને તમારા વંશજો જીવતા રહો.
20 to love YHWH your God, to obey his voice, and to cling to him; for he is your life, and the length of your days; that you may dwell in the land which YHWH swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them."
૨૦યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વર પર પ્રેમ રાખવાનું, તેમની વાણી સાંભળવાનું અને તેમને વળગી રહેવાનું પસંદ કરો, કેમ કે તે તમારા જીવન તથા તમારા આયુષ્યની વૃદ્ધિ કરે છે; તે માટે જે દેશ તમારા પિતૃઓને, એટલે ઇબ્રાહિમ, ઇસહાક, તથા યાકૂબને આપવાને યહોવાહે સમ ખાધા તેમાં તમે રહો.”
