Amos 9
1 I saw YHWH standing beside the altar, and he said, "Strike the tops of the pillars, that the thresholds may shake; and break them in pieces on the head of all of them; and I will kill the last of them with the sword: there shall not one of them flee away, and there shall not one of them escape.
Ví al Señor que estaba sobre el altar, y dijo: Hiere el umbral, y estremézcanse las puertas; y córtalos en piezas la cabeza de todos; y el postrero de ellos mataré a cuchillo: no habrá de ellos quien huya, ni quien escape.
2 Though they dig into Sheol, there my hand will take them; and though they climb up to heaven, there I will bring them down. (Sheol h7585)
Si cavaren hasta el infierno, de allá los tomará mi mano; y si subieren hasta el cielo, de allá los haré descender: (Sheol h7585)
3 Though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out there; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, there I will command the serpent, and it will bite them.
Y si se escondieren en la cumbre del Carmelo, allí los buscaré, y los tomaré; y si se escondieren de delante de mis ojos en el profundo de la mar, allí mandaré a la culebra, y morderlos ha:
4 Though they go into captivity before their enemies, there I will command the sword, and it will kill them. I will set my eyes on them for disaster, and not for good.
Y si fueren en cautiverio delante de sus enemigos, allí mandaré a la espada, y matarlos ha; y pondré sobre ellos mis ojos para mal, y no para bien.
5 For YHWH of hosts is he who touches the land and it melts, and all who dwell in it will mourn; and it will rise up wholly like the River, and will sink again, like the River of Egypt.
El Señor Jehová de los ejércitos, que toca la tierra, y se derretirá, y llorarán todos los que en ella moran; y subirá toda como un río, y será hundida como el río de Egipto.
6 It is he who builds his upper chamber in the heavens, and has founded his vault on the earth; he who calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out on the surface of the earth; YHWH is his name.
El edificó en el cielo sus grados, y su conjunto fundó sobre la tierra: él llama las aguas de la mar, y las derrama sobre la haz de la tierra: Jehová es su nombre.
7 Are you not like the people of Ethiopia to me, children of Israel?" says YHWH. "Haven't I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt, and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Arameans from Kir?
Hijos de Israel, ¿no me sois vosotros como hijos de Etiopes? dijo Jehová: ¿No hice yo subir a Israel de la tierra de Egipto, y a los Palestinos de Caftor, y a los Siros de Kir?
8 Look, the eyes of YHWH are on the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the surface of the earth; except that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob," says YHWH.
He aquí que los ojos del Señor Jehová están contra el reino pecador; y yo le asolaré de la haz de la tierra: mas no destruiré del todo la casa de Jacob, dijo Jehová.
9 "For, look, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all the nations, as one sifts with a sieve, but not even a pebble will fall to the ground.
Porque he aquí que yo mandaré, y haré que la casa de Israel sea zarandada en todas las naciones, como se zaranda el grano en un harnero, y no cae una chinica en la tierra.
10 All the sinners of my people will die by the sword, who say, 'Evil won't overtake nor meet us.'
A espada morirán todos los pecadores de mi pueblo, que dicen: No se acercará, ni se anticipará el mal por causa nuestra.
11 On that day I will rebuild the tabernacle of David that has fallen, and repair its broken places, and I will rebuild its ruins, and I will restore it as in the days of old;
En aquel día yo levantaré la cabaña de David caída, y cerraré sus portillos, y levantaré sus ruinas, y edificarle he como en el tiempo pasado:
12 that the rest of humanity may seek after YHWH, and all the nations who are called by my name," says YHWH who does this.
Para que aquellos sobre los cuales es llamado mi nombre, posean la resta de Idumea, y a todas las naciones, dijo Jehová que hace esto.
13 "Look, the days come," says YHWH, "that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the one treading grapes him who sows seed; and sweet wine will drip from the mountains, and flow from the hills.
He aquí que vienen días, dijo Jehová, en que el que ara se llegará al segador, y el pisador de las uvas al que lleva la simiente; y los montes destilarán mosto, y todos los collados se derretirán.
14 I will bring my people Israel back from captivity, and they will rebuild the ruined cities, and inhabit them; and they will plant vineyards, and drink wine from them. They shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
Y tornaré el cautiverio de mi pueblo Israel; y edificarán las ciudades asoladas, y habitarlas han; y plantarán viñas, y beberán el vino de ellas; y harán huertos, y comerán el fruto de ellos.
15 I will plant them on their land, and they will no more be plucked up out of their land which I have given them," says YHWH your God.
Y plantarlos he sobre su tierra, y nunca más serán arrancados de su tierra, la cual yo les dí, dijo Jehová Dios tuyo.
