Acts 15
1 Some men came down from Judea and taught the brothers, "Unless you are circumcised after the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved."
A niektórzy przybysze z Judei nauczali braci: Jeśli nie zostaniecie obrzezani według zwyczaju Mojżesza, nie możecie być zbawieni.
2 Therefore when Paul and Barnabas had no small discord and discussion with them, they appointed Paul and Barnabas, and some others of them, to go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders about this question.
Kiedy doszło do niemałych sporów i zatargów między nimi a Pawłem i Barnabą, postanowili, że Paweł i Barnaba oraz jeszcze kilku z nich pójdą w sprawie tego sporu do apostołów i starszych do Jerozolimy.
3 They, being sent on their way by the church, passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, describing in detail the conversion of the non-Jewish people. They caused great joy to all the brothers.
Wyprawieni przez kościół, szli przez Fenicję i Samarię, opowiadając o nawróceniu pogan, czym sprawili wielką radość wszystkim braciom.
4 When they had come to Jerusalem, they were received by the church and the apostles and the elders, and they reported all things that God had done with them.
A gdy przybyli do Jerozolimy, zostali przyjęci przez kościół, apostołów i starszych. I opowiedzieli o wszystkim, czego Bóg przez nich dokonał.
5 But some of the sect of the Pharisees who believed rose up, saying, "It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the Law of Moses."
Lecz niektórzy ze stronnictwa faryzeuszy, którzy uwierzyli, powstali i powiedzieli: Trzeba ich obrzezać i nakazać, żeby zachowywali Prawo Mojżesza.
6 The apostles and the elders were gathered together to see about this matter.
Apostołowie i starsi zebrali się więc, aby rozstrzygnąć tę sprawę.
7 When there had been much discussion, Peter rose up and said to them, "Brothers, you know that a good while ago God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the nations should hear the word of the Good News, and believe.
A gdy był wielki spór [o to], Piotr powstał i powiedział do nich: Mężowie bracia, wiecie, że Bóg już dawno wybrał [mnie] spośród was, aby z moich ust poganie usłyszeli słowa ewangelii i uwierzyli.
8 God, who knows the heart, testified about them by giving the Holy Spirit, just like he did to us.
A Bóg, który zna serca, wydał im świadectwo, dając im Ducha Świętego, tak samo jak nam.
9 He made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith.
I nie uczynił [żadnej] różnicy między nami a nimi, oczyszczając przez wiarę ich serca.
10 Now therefore why do you tempt God, that you should put a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
Dlaczego więc teraz wystawiacie Boga na próbę, wkładając na kark uczniów jarzmo, którego ani nasi ojcowie, ani my nie mogliśmy udźwignąć?
11 But we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, just as they are."
Lecz wierzymy, że przez łaskę Pana Jezusa Chrystusa będziemy zbawieni, tak samo i oni.
12 And all the people kept quiet, and they listened to Barnabas and Paul reporting what signs and wonders God had done among the nations through them.
I całe zgromadzenie umilkło, a [potem] słuchali Barnaby i Pawła, którzy opowiadali, jak wielkie znaki i cuda Bóg uczynił przez nich wśród pogan.
13 After they were silent, James answered, "Brothers, listen to me.
A gdy i oni umilkli, odezwał się Jakub: Mężowie bracia, posłuchajcie mnie.
14 Simeon has reported how God first visited the nations, to take out of them a people for his name.
Szymon powiedział, jak najpierw Bóg wejrzał na pogan, aby [z nich] wybrać lud dla swego imienia.
15 This agrees with the words of the prophets. As it is written,
A z tym się zgadzają słowa proroków, jak jest napisane:
16 'After these things I will return; and I will rebuild the tabernacle of David that has fallen, and I will rebuild its ruins, and I will restore it,
Potem powrócę i odbuduję upadły przybytek Dawida; odbuduję jego ruiny i wzniosę go;
17 that the rest of humanity may seek after the Lord, and all the nations who are called by my name, says the Lord, who makes these things
Aby ludzie, którzy pozostali, szukali Pana, i wszystkie narody, nad którymi wzywane jest moje imię – mówi Pan, który to wszystko sprawia.
19 "Therefore my judgment is that we do not trouble those from among the non-Jewish people who turn to God,
Dlatego uważam, że nie należy czynić trudności tym spośród pogan, którzy się nawracają do Boga;
20 but that we write to them that they abstain from things defiled by idols, from sexual immorality, from what is strangled, and from blood.
Ale napisać im, aby wstrzymywali się od splugawienia bożków, od nierządu, od tego, co uduszone, i od krwi.
21 For Moses from generations of old has in every city those who proclaim him, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath."

22 Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole church, to choose men out of their company, and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas: Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas, chief men among the brothers.
Wtedy apostołowie i starsi wraz z całym kościołem uznali za słuszne posłać do Antiochii z Pawłem i Barnabą wybranych spośród siebie ludzi: Judę, zwanego Barsabą, i Sylasa, przodujących wśród braci.
23 They wrote these things by their hand: "The apostles, the elders, and the brothers, to the non-Jewish brothers who are in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia: greetings.
Posłali przez nich [takie pismo]: Apostołowie, starsi i bracia przesyłają pozdrowienia braciom pochodzącym z pogan, którzy są w Antiochii, Syrii i Cylicji.
24 Because we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, to whom we gave no commandment;
Ponieważ słyszeliśmy, że pewni ludzie wyszli od nas i zaniepokoili was słowami, i wzburzyli wasze dusze, mówiąc, że musicie zostać obrzezani i zachowywać prawo, czego im nie przykazaliśmy;
25 it seemed good to us, having come to one accord, to choose out men and send them to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
Zgromadzeni jednomyślnie, postanowiliśmy posłać do was wybranych ludzi wraz z naszymi umiłowanymi Barnabą i Pawłem;
26 who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Ludźmi, którzy poświęcili swe życie dla imienia naszego Pana Jezusa Chrystusa.
27 We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who themselves will also tell you the same things by word of mouth.
Dlatego posłaliśmy Judę i Sylasa, którzy powtórzą wam ustnie to samo.
28 For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay no greater burden on you than these necessary things:
Uznał bowiem Duch Święty za słuszne, i my też, nie nakładać na was żadnego ciężaru oprócz tego, co konieczne.
29 that you abstain from things sacrificed to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality, from which if you keep yourselves, it will be well with you. Farewell."
Wstrzymujcie się od [ofiar] składanych bożkom, od krwi, od tego, co uduszone, i od nierządu. Dobrze uczynicie, jeśli będziecie się tego wystrzegać. Bywajcie zdrowi.
30 So, when they were sent off, they came to Antioch, and having gathered the congregation together, they delivered the letter.
Tak więc oni, będąc odprawieni, przybyli do Antiochii, zwołali zgromadzenie i oddali list.
31 When they had read it, they rejoiced over the encouragement.
Gdy [go] przeczytali, uradowali się z tego pocieszania.
32 Judas and Silas, also being prophets themselves, encouraged the brothers with many words, and strengthened them.
A Juda i Sylas, którzy również byli prorokami, w licznych mowach zachęcali i umacniali braci.
33 After they had spent some time there, they were sent back with greetings from the brothers to those that had sent them forth.
A gdy przebywali [tam] jakiś czas, zostali odprawieni z [życzeniem] pokoju od braci do apostołów.
34 However, Silas decided to remain there.
Lecz upodobało się Sylasowi tam pozostać.
35 And Paul and Barnabas stayed in Antioch, teaching and proclaiming the word of the Lord, with many others also.
Również Paweł i Barnaba przebywali w Antiochii, nauczając i głosząc z wieloma innymi słowo Pana.
36 After some days Paul said to Barnabas, "Let us return now and visit our brothers in every city in which we proclaimed the word of the Lord, to see how they are doing."
Po kilku dniach Paweł powiedział do Barnaby: Wróćmy i odwiedźmy naszych braci we wszystkich miastach, w których głosiliśmy słowo Pańskie, [aby zobaczyć], jak się mają.
37 Barnabas planned to take John, who was called Mark, with them also.
Barnaba chciał również wziąć ze sobą Jana, zwanego Markiem.
38 But Paul did not think that it was a good idea to take with them someone who had withdrawn from them in Pamphylia, and did not go with them to do the work.
Ale Paweł nie chciał zabrać ze sobą tego, który odszedł od nich w Pamfilii i nie uczestniczył z nimi w tej pracy.
39 Then the contention grew so sharp that they separated from each other. Barnabas took Mark with him, and sailed away to Cyprus,

40 but Paul chose Silas, and went out, being commended by the brothers to the grace of the Lord.

41 He went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.
I przechodził Syrię i Cylicję, umacniając kościoły.
