Acts 15
1 Some men came down from Judea and taught the brothers, "Unless you are circumcised after the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved."
Přišedše pak někteří z Židovstva, učili bratří: Že nebudete-li se obřezovati podlé obyčeje Mojžíšova, nebudete moci spaseni býti.
2 Therefore when Paul and Barnabas had no small discord and discussion with them, they appointed Paul and Barnabas, and some others of them, to go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders about this question.
A když různici a nemalou hádku Pavel a Barnabáš s nimi měl, i zůstali na tom, aby Pavel a Barnabáš a někteří jiní z nich šli k apoštolům a starším do Jeruzaléma o tu otázku.
3 They, being sent on their way by the church, passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, describing in detail the conversion of the non-Jewish people. They caused great joy to all the brothers.
Tedy oni jsouce vyprovozeni od církve, šli skrze Fenicen a Samaří, vypravujíce o obrácení pohanů, i způsobili radost velikou všechněm bratřím.
4 When they had come to Jerusalem, they were received by the church and the apostles and the elders, and they reported all things that God had done with them.
A když se dostali do Jeruzaléma, přijati jsou od církve a od apoštolů a starších. I zvěstovali, cožkoli činil skrze ně Bůh.
5 But some of the sect of the Pharisees who believed rose up, saying, "It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the Law of Moses."
Ale povstali někteří z sekty farizejské, kteříž byli uvěřili, pravíce, že musejí obřezováni býti, a aby jim bylo přikázáno zachovávati zákon Mojžíšův.
6 The apostles and the elders were gathered together to see about this matter.
Tedy sešli se apoštolé a starší, aby toho povážili.
7 When there had been much discussion, Peter rose up and said to them, "Brothers, you know that a good while ago God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the nations should hear the word of the Good News, and believe.
A když mnohé vyhledávání toho bylo, povstav Petr, řekl jim: Muži bratří, vy víte, že od dávních dnů mezi námi Bůh vyvolil, aby skrze ústa má slyšeli pohané slovo evangelium, a uvěřili.
8 God, who knows the heart, testified about them by giving the Holy Spirit, just like he did to us.
A Bůh, zpytatel srdce, svědectví jim vydal, dav jim Ducha svatého, jako i nám.
9 He made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith.
A neučinil rozdílu mezi nimi a námi, věrou očistiv srdce jejich.
10 Now therefore why do you tempt God, that you should put a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
Protož nyní, proč pokoušíte Boha, vzkládajíce na hrdlo učedlníků jho, kteréhož ani otcové naši, ani my nésti jsme nemohli?
11 But we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, just as they are."
Ale skrze milost Pána Ježíše Krista věříme, že spaseni budeme, rovně jako i oni.
12 And all the people kept quiet, and they listened to Barnabas and Paul reporting what signs and wonders God had done among the nations through them.
I mlčelo všecko to množství, a poslouchali Barnabáše a Pavla, vypravujících, kteraké divy a zázraky činil Bůh skrze ně mezi pohany.
13 After they were silent, James answered, "Brothers, listen to me.
A když oni umlkli, odpověděl Jakub, řka: Muži bratří, slyšte mne.
14 Simeon has reported how God first visited the nations, to take out of them a people for his name.
Šimon teď vypravoval, kterak Bůh nejprvé popatřil na pohany, aby přijal lid jménu svému.
15 This agrees with the words of the prophets. As it is written,
A s tím se srovnávají i řeči prorocké, jakož psáno jest:
16 'After these things I will return; and I will rebuild the tabernacle of David that has fallen, and I will rebuild its ruins, and I will restore it,
Potom se navrátím, a vzdělám zase stánek Davidův, kterýž byl klesl, a zbořeniny jeho zase vzdělám, a vyzdvihnu jej,
17 that the rest of humanity may seek after the Lord, and all the nations who are called by my name, says the Lord, who makes these things
Tak aby ti ostatkové toho lidu hledali Pána, i všickni pohané, nad kterýmiž jest vzýváno jméno mé, dí Pán, kterýž činí tyto všecky věci.
19 "Therefore my judgment is that we do not trouble those from among the non-Jewish people who turn to God,
Protož já tak soudím, aby nebyli kormouceni ti, kteříž se z pohanů obracejí k Bohu,
20 but that we write to them that they abstain from things defiled by idols, from sexual immorality, from what is strangled, and from blood.
Ale aby jim napsáno bylo, ať se zdržují od poškvrn modl, a smilstva, a toho, což jest udáveného, a od krve.
21 For Moses from generations of old has in every city those who proclaim him, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath."
Nebo Mojžíš od dávních věků má po městech, kdo by jej kázal, poněvadž v školách na každou sobotu čítán bývá.
22 Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole church, to choose men out of their company, and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas: Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas, chief men among the brothers.
Tehdy vidělo se apoštolům a starším se vší církví, aby vybrané z sebe muže poslali do Antiochie s Pavlem a Barnabášem, totiž Judu, kterýž sloul Barsabáš, a Sílu, muže znamenité mezi bratřími,
23 They wrote these things by their hand: "The apostles, the elders, and the brothers, to the non-Jewish brothers who are in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia: greetings.
Napsavše po nich toto: Apoštolé a starší i bratří těm, kteříž jsou v Antiochii a v Sýrii a v Cilicii bratřím, kteříž jsou z pohanů, pozdravení vzkazují.
24 Because we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, to whom we gave no commandment;
Poněvadž jsme slyšeli, že někteří vyšedše od nás, zkormoutili vás, řečmi zemdlévajíce duše vaše, pravíce, že se musíte obřezovati a zákon zachovávati, jimž jsme toho neporučili:
25 it seemed good to us, having come to one accord, to choose out men and send them to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
I vidělo se nám shromážděným jednomyslně vybrané muže poslati k vám s těmito nejmilejšími svými, Barnabášem a Pavlem,
26 who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Lidmi těmi, kteříž vydali duše své pro jméno Pána našeho Ježíše Krista.
27 We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who themselves will also tell you the same things by word of mouth.
Protož poslali jsme Judu a Sílu, a tiť i ústně povědí totéž.
28 For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay no greater burden on you than these necessary things:
Vidělo se zajisté Duchu svatému i nám, žádného více na vás břemene nevzkládati, kromě těchto věcí potřebných,
29 that you abstain from things sacrificed to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality, from which if you keep yourselves, it will be well with you. Farewell."
Abyste se zdržovali od obětovaného modlám, a od krve, a od udáveného, a od smilstva. Od těch věcí budete-li se ostříhati, dobře budete činiti. Mějte se dobře.
30 So, when they were sent off, they came to Antioch, and having gathered the congregation together, they delivered the letter.
Tedy oni propuštěni byvše, přišli do Antiochie, a shromáždivše množství, dodali toho listu.
31 When they had read it, they rejoiced over the encouragement.
Kterýžto čtouce, radovali se z toho potěšení.
32 Judas and Silas, also being prophets themselves, encouraged the brothers with many words, and strengthened them.
Judas pak a Sílas, byvše i oni proroci, širokou řečí napomínali bratří a potvrzovali.
33 After they had spent some time there, they were sent back with greetings from the brothers to those that had sent them forth.
A pobyvše tu za některý čas, propuštěni jsou od bratří v pokoji k apoštolům.
34 However, Silas decided to remain there.
Ale Sílovi se vidělo, aby tu zůstal.
35 And Paul and Barnabas stayed in Antioch, teaching and proclaiming the word of the Lord, with many others also.
Tolikéž Pavel i Barnabáš pobyli v Antiochii, učíce a zvěstujíce i s mnohými jinými slovo Páně.
36 After some days Paul said to Barnabas, "Let us return now and visit our brothers in every city in which we proclaimed the word of the Lord, to see how they are doing."
Po několika pak dnech řekl Pavel Barnabášovi: Vracujíce se, navštěvme bratří své po všech městech, v kterýchž jsme kázali slovo Páně, kterak se mají.
37 Barnabas planned to take John, who was called Mark, with them also.
Tedy Barnabáš radil, aby pojali s sebou i Jana kterýž přijmí měl Marek.
38 But Paul did not think that it was a good idea to take with them someone who had withdrawn from them in Pamphylia, and did not go with them to do the work.
Ale Pavlovi se nezdálo pojíti toho s sebou, kterýž byl odšel od nich z Pamfylie, aniž šel s nimi ku práci.
39 Then the contention grew so sharp that they separated from each other. Barnabas took Mark with him, and sailed away to Cyprus,
I vznikl mezi nimi tuhý odpor, tak že se rozešli různo. Barnabáš pak pojav s sebou Marka, plavil se do Cypru.
40 but Paul chose Silas, and went out, being commended by the brothers to the grace of the Lord.
A Pavel přivzav Sílu, odšel, poručen byv milosti Boží od bratří.
41 He went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.
I procházel Syrii a Cilicii, potvrzuje církví.
