2 Timothy 2
1 You therefore, my child, be strengthened in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
Ти дакле, сине мој, јачај у благодати Исуса Христа;
2 The things which you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit the same to faithful people, who will be able to teach others also.
И шта си чуо од мене пред многим сведоцима, оно предај верним људима, који ће бити вредни и друге научити.
3 You therefore must share in hardship, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
Ти дакле трпи зло као добар војник Исуса христа;
4 No soldier on duty entangles himself in the affairs of life, that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier.
Јер се никакав војник не заплеће у трговине овог света да угоди војводи.
5 Also, if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he has competed by the rules.
Ако и војује, не добија венац ако право не војује.
6 The farmers who labor must be the first to get a share of the crops.
Радин који се труди најпре треба да окуси од рода.
7 Consider what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in all things.
Разуми шта говорим; а Господ да ти да разум у свему.
8 Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, a descendant of David, according to my Good News,
Опомињи се Господа Исуса Христа који уста из мртвих, од семена Давидовог, по јеванђељу мом,
9 in which I suffer hardship to the point of chains as a criminal. But God's word is not chained.
У коме трпим зло до самих окова као злочинац; али се реч Божија не веже.
10 Therefore I endure all things for the chosen ones' sake, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with everlasting glory. (aiōnios g166)
Зато трпим све избраних ради да и они добију спасење у Христу Исусу са славом вечном. (aiōnios g166)
11 This saying is faithful: "For if we died with him, we will also live with him.
Истинита је реч: ако с Њим умресмо, то ћемо с Њим и оживети.
12 If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he also will deny us.
Ако трпимо, с Њим ћемо и царовати. Ако се одрекнемо, и Он ће се нас одрећи.
13 If we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself."
Ако не верујемо, Он остаје веран; јер се сам себе не може одрећи.
14 Remind them of these things, charging them in the presence of God, not to wrangle about words, to no profit, to the subverting of those who hear.
Ово напомињи, и посведочи пред Господом да се не препиру, које ништа не помаже, него смета оне који слушају.
15 Do your best to present yourself approved by God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, properly handling the word of truth.
Постарај се да се покажеш поштен пред Богом, као радин који се нема шта стидети, и право управља речју истине.
16 But shun empty chatter, for they will proceed further in ungodliness,
А поганих празних разговора клони се; јер највише помажу у безбожности,
17 and their word will consume like gangrene, of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
И реч њихова као живина точи: међу којима је Именеј и Филит,
18 who have erred concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past, and overthrowing the faith of some.
Који у истини погрешише говорећи да је васкрсење већ било; и сметају веру неких.
19 However God's firm foundation stands, having this seal, "The Lord knows those who are his," and, "Let every one who names the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness."
Тврдо дакле стоји темељ Божји имајући овај печат: Позна Господ своје; и: Да одступи од неправде сваки који спомиње име Господње.
20 Now in a large house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of clay. Some are for honor, and some for dishonor.
А у великом дому нису суди само златни и сребрни, него и дрвени и земљани: и једни за част, а једни за срамоту.
21 If anyone therefore purges himself from these, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, and suitable for the master's use, prepared for every good work.
Ако дакле ко очисти себе од овог, биће суд за част, освећен, и потребан домаћину, приправљен за свако добро дело.
22 Flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Бежи од жеља младости, а држи се правде, вере, љубави, мира, са свима који призивају Господа од чистог срца;
23 But refuse foolish and ignorant questionings, knowing that they generate strife.
А лудих и празних запиткивања клони се знајући да рађају свађе.
24 The Lord's servant must not quarrel, but be gentle towards all, able to teach, patient,
А слуга Господњи не треба да се свађа, него да буде кротак к свима, поучљив, који неправду може подносити,
25 in gentleness correcting those who oppose him: perhaps God may give them repentance leading to a full knowledge of the truth,
И с кротошћу поучавати оне који се противе: еда би им како Бог дао покајање за познање истине,
26 and they may recover themselves out of the devil's snare, having been taken captive by him to his will.
И да се ископају из замке ђавола, који их је уловио живе за своју вољу.
