2 Kings 24
1 In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim became his servant three years: then he turned and rebelled against him.
૧યહોયાકીમના દિવસોમાં બાબિલના રાજા નબૂખાદનેસ્સારે યરુશાલેમ પર ચઢાઈ કરી; યહોયાકીમ ત્રણ વર્ષ સુધી તેનો ચાકર બની રહ્યો. પછી તેણે પાછા ફરી જઈને તેની સામે બળવો કર્યો.
2 YHWH sent against him bands of the Chaldeans, and bands of the Arameans, and bands of the Moabites, and bands of the people of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of YHWH, which he spoke by his servants the prophets.
૨યહોવાહ પોતાના સેવક પ્રબોધકો દ્વારા જે વચન બોલ્યા હતા તે પ્રમાણે, યહોવાહે યહોયાકીમ વિરુદ્ધ ખાલદીઓની ટોળી, અરામીઓ, મોઆબીઓ તથા આમ્મોનીઓને રવાના કર્યાં; તેમણે યહૂદિયાની વિરુદ્ધ તેનો નાશ કરવા માટે તેઓને મોકલ્યા.
3 Surely at the commandment of YHWH this came on Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did,
૩મનાશ્શાએ તેનાં કૃત્યોથી જે પાપો કર્યાં હતાં તેને લીધે તેઓને પોતાની દ્રષ્ટિ આગળથી દૂર કરવા યહોવાહની આજ્ઞાથી જ યહૂદિયા પર દુઃખ આવી પડ્યું હતું.
4 and also for the innocent blood that he shed; for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood: and YHWH would not pardon.
૪અને નિર્દોષ રક્ત વહેવડાવ્યાના લીધે, તે નિર્દોષ લોહીથી તેણે યરુશાલેમને ભરી દીધું હતું, માટે યહોવાહ તેને ક્ષમા કરવા ઇચ્છતા ન હતા.
5 Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, aren't they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
૫યહોયાકીમનાં બાકીનાં કાર્યો, તેણે જે કર્યું તે સર્વ, યહૂદિયાના રાજાઓના કાળવૃત્તાંતના પુસ્તકમાં લખેલાં નથી શું?
6 So Jehoiakim slept with his fathers; and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his place.
૬યહોયાકીમ પોતાના પિતૃઓ સાથે ઊંઘી ગયો, તેની જગ્યાએ તેનો દીકરો યહોયાખીન રાજા બન્યો.
7 The king of Egypt did not come again out of his land any more; for the king of Babylon had taken, from the Wadi of Egypt to the river Perath, all that pertained to the king of Egypt.
૭મિસરનો રાજા ત્યાર પછી કદી પોતાના દેશમાંથી હુમલો કરવા બહાર આવ્યો નહિ, કારણ બાબિલના રાજાએ મિસરના ઝરાથી ફ્રાત નદી સુધી જે કંઈ મિસરના રાજાના કબજામાં હતું તે જીતી લીધું હતું.
8 Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign; and he reigned in Jerusalem three months: and his mother's name was Nehushta the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.
૮યહોયાખીન રાજ કરવા લાગ્યો ત્યારે તે અઢાર વર્ષનો હતો; તેણે યરુશાલેમમાં માત્ર ત્રણ મહિના રાજ કર્યુ. તેની માતાનું નામ નહુશ્તા હતું; તે યરુશાલેમના એલ્નાથાનની દીકરી હતી.
9 He did that which was evil in the sight of YHWH, according to all that his father had done.
૯તેના પિતાએ કરેલાં બધાં કાર્યો પ્રમાણે તેણે યહોવાહની દ્રષ્ટિમાં જે ખોટું હતું તે કર્યું.
10 At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up to Jerusalem, and the city was besieged.
૧૦તે સમયે બાબિલના રાજા નબૂખાદનેસ્સારના સૈન્યએ યરુશાલેમ પર ચઢાઈ કરી તે નગરને ઘેરી લીધું.
11 Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to the city, while his servants were besieging it;
૧૧જ્યારે તેના સૈનિકોએ નગરને ઘેરી લીધું હતું, ત્યારે બાબિલનો રાજા નબૂખાદનેસ્સાર ત્યાં આવી પહોંચ્યો.
12 and Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his officers, and his officers. And the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.
૧૨યહૂદિયાનો રાજા યહોયાખીન, તેની માતા, તેના ચાકરો, તેના રાજકુમારો તથા કારભારીઓ બાબિલના રાજાને મળવા બહાર આવ્યા. બાબિલના રાજાએ પોતાના શાસનનાં આઠમા વર્ષે તેને પકડ્યો.
13 He carried out there all the treasures of the house of YHWH, and the treasures of the king's house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold, which Solomon king of Israel had made in YHWH's temple, as YHWH had said.
૧૩યહોવાહે કહ્યું હતું તે પ્રમાણે, યહોવાહના સભાસ્થાનની તેમ જ રાજમહેલની બધી કિંમતી વસ્તુઓ તે ઉપાડી ગયો. તેણે યહોવાહના ઘરમાં ઇઝરાયલના રાજા સુલેમાને બનાવેલા સોનાનાં બધાં વાસણોને કાપીને ટુકડાં કર્યાં.
14 He carried away all Jerusalem, and all the officials, and all the mighty men of valor, even ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and the smiths; none remained, except the poorest sort of the people of the land.
૧૪તે બધા યરુશાલેમ વાસીને, બધા આગેવાનોને, બધા પરાક્રમી યોદ્ધાઓને, દસ હજાર કેદીઓને, લુહારોને તથા કારીગરોને પકડીને લઈ ગયો. ગરીબ લોકો સિવાય દેશમાં કોઈ બાકી રહ્યું નહિ.
15 He carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon; and the king's mother, and the king's wives, and his officers, and the chief men of the land, carried he into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.
૧૫નબૂખાદનેસ્સાર યહોયાખીનને બાબિલ લઈ ગયો. તેમ જ તેની માતા, પત્ની, અધિકારીઓ તથા દેશના મુખ્ય માણસોને પકડીને તે તેમને યરુશાલેમથી બાબિલ લઈ ગયો.
16 All the men of might, even seven thousand, and the craftsmen and the smiths one thousand, all of them strong and apt for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.
૧૬બધા પરાક્રમી માણસો એટલે સાત હજાર માણસો, એક હજાર કારીગરો તથા લુહારો, જે બધા પરાક્રમી તથા યુદ્ધને માટે યોગ્ય હતા તે બધાને બાબિલનો રાજા કેદ કરીને બાબિલ લઈ ગયો.
17 The king of Babylon made Mattaniah, Jehoiachin's father's brother, king is his place, and changed his name to Zedekiah.
૧૭બાબિલના રાજાએ યહોયાખીનના કાકા માત્તાન્યાને તેની જગ્યાએ રાજા બનાવ્યો, તેનું નામ બદલીને સિદકિયા રાખ્યું.
18 Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
૧૮સિદકિયા રાજ કરવા લાગ્યો, ત્યારે તે એકવીસ વર્ષનો હતો, તેણે યરુશાલેમમાં અગિયાર વર્ષ રાજ કર્યું. તેની માતાનું નામ હમૂટાલ હતું, તે લિબ્નાહ નગરનો યર્મિયાની દીકરી હતી.
19 He did that which was evil in the sight of YHWH, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.
૧૯યહોયાકીમે જેમ કર્યું હતું તેમ સિદકિયાએ યહોવાહની દ્રષ્ટિમાં જે બધું ખોટું હતું તે કર્યું.
20 For through the anger of YHWH, it happened in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence. Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
૨૦યરુશાલેમ અને યહૂદિયામાં આ બધું જે થયું તે યહોવાહના કોપને લીધે થયું, તેથી તેમણે તેઓને પોતાની દ્રષ્ટિ આગળથી દૂર કર્યા. પછી રાજા સિદકિયાએ બાબિલના રાજાની વિરુદ્ધ બળવો કર્યો.
