< 2 Kings 20 >

1 In those days was Hezekiah sick to death. Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him, and said to him, "Thus says YHWH, 'Set your house in order; for you shall die, and not live.'"
Mu biro ebyo Keezeekiya n’alwala n’abulako katono okufa. Nnabbi Isaaya mutabani wa Amozi n’agenda gy’ali n’amugamba nti, “Bw’ati bw’ayogera Mukama nti: Teekateeka ennyumba yo, kubanga ogenda kufa so togenda kuwona.”
2 Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed to YHWH, saying,
Keezeekiya ne yeekyusa n’atunuulira ekisenge, ne yeegayirira Mukama ng’agamba nti,
3 "Remember now, YHWH, I beg you, how I have walked before you in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in your sight." Hezekiah wept bitterly.
“Jjukira, Ayi Mukama Katonda, nga bwe ntambulidde mu maaso go mu bwesigwa n’omutima ogutuukiridde, era ne nkola ebirungi mu maaso go.” Keezeekiya n’akaaba nnyo.
4 It happened, before Isaiah had gone out of the middle court, that the word of YHWH came to him, saying,
Awo Isaaya bwe yali nga tannava mu luggya olwa wakati, ekigambo kya Mukama ne kimujjira nti,
5 "Turn back, and tell Hezekiah the prince of my people, 'Thus says YHWH, the God of David your father, "I have heard your prayer. I have seen your tears. Look, I will heal you. On the third day, you shall go up to the house of YHWH.
“Ddayo ogambe Keezeekiya omukulembeze w’abantu bange nti, ‘Bw’ati bw’ayogera Mukama, Katonda wa jjajjaawo Dawudi nti: Mpulidde okusaba kwo, era n’amaziga go ngalabye. Nzija kukuwonya. Oluvannyuma lw’ennaku ssatu onooyambuka n’olaga mu yeekaalu ya Mukama.
6 I will add to your days fifteen years. I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for my own sake, and for my servant David's sake."'"
Ndikwongerako emyaka emirala kkumi n’ettaano, era laba ndikulokola ggwe n’ekibuga kino mu mukono gwa kabaka w’e Bwasuli, nga nnwanirira ekibuga kino ku lwange nze ne ku lw’omuddu wange Dawudi.’”
7 Isaiah said, "Take a cake of figs." They took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.
Awo Isaaya n’alagira baleete ekitole ky’ettiini, ne bakisiiga ku jjute, Keezeekiya n’awona.
8 Hezekiah said to Isaiah, "What shall be the sign that YHWH will heal me, and that I shall go up to the house of YHWH the third day?"
Keezeekiya yali abuuzizza Isaaya nti, “Kabonero ki akalindaga nti Mukama amponyezza, era nti ndyambuka mu yeekaalu ya Mukama nga wayiseewo ennaku ssatu?”
9 Isaiah said, "This shall be the sign to you from YHWH, that YHWH will do the thing that he has spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or go back ten steps?"
Isaaya n’addamu nti, “Kano ke kaliba akabonero gy’oli okuva eri Mukama nti ajja kutuukiriza kye yasuubiza: ekisiikirize kinaatambula mu maaso amadaala kkumi, oba kinaaddayo emabega amadaala kkumi?”
10 Hezekiah answered, "It is a light thing for the shadow to go forward ten steps. Nay, but let the shadow return backward ten steps."
Keezeekiya n’addamu nti, “Kintu kyangu nnyo ekisiikirize okugenda mu maaso amadaala kkumi, Noolwekyo kiddeyo emabega amadaala kkumi.”
11 Isaiah the prophet cried to YHWH; and he brought the shadow ten steps backward, by which it had gone down on the dial of Ahaz.
Awo Isaaya n’akoowoola erinnya lya Mukama, era Mukama n’azzaayo ekisiikirize emabega amadaala kkumi okuva ne we kyali ku madaala ga Akazi.
12 At that time Marduk-Baladan the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah, for he had heard that Hezekiah had been sick, and had recovered.
Mu biro ebyo Berodakubaladani mutabani wa Baladani kabaka w’e Babulooni n’aweereza Keezeekiya ebbaluwa n’ekirabo, kubanga yawulira nti Keezeekiya yali alwadde.
13 Hezekiah was delighted at this, and showed them all the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious oil, and the house of his armor, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah did not show them.
Keezeekiya n’ayaniriza ababaka abaleeta ebbaluwa, n’abalambuza amawanika ge gonna omwali eby’omuwendo ebingi ng’effeeza, ne zaabu, n’ebyakaloosa n’amafuta ag’omuwendo omungi. Yabalambuza ennyumba omwali ebyokulwanyisa, n’eby’omuwendo ebirala ebyali mu mawanika ge. Tewali kintu mu lubiri wadde mu bwakabaka bwe bwonna Keezeekiya ky’ataabalaga.
14 Then Isaiah the prophet came to king Hezekiah, and said to him, "What did these men say? From where did they come to you?" Hezekiah said, "They have come from a far country, even from Babylon."
Awo nnabbi Isaaya n’agenda eri Kabaka Keezeekiya n’amubuuza nti, “Abasajja abo bagambye ki era bavudde wa?” Keezeekiya n’addamu nti, “Bavudde mu nsi ey’ewala mu Babulooni.”
15 He said, "What have they seen in your house?" Hezekiah answered, "They have seen all that is in my house. There is nothing among my treasures that I have not shown them."
Nnabbi n’amubuuza nti, “Balabye ki mu lubiri lwo?” N’addamu nti, “Balabye buli kintu mu lubiri lwange, tewali na kimu ku by’omu mawanika gange kye nabakwese.”
16 Isaiah said to Hezekiah, "Hear the word of YHWH.
Isaaya n’agamba Keezeekiya nti, “Wuliriza Mukama Katonda ky’agamba:
17 'Look, the days come, that all that is in your house, and that which your fathers have laid up in store to this day, shall be carried to Babylon. Nothing shall be left,' says YHWH.
Laba, ekiseera kijja byonna ebiri mu lubiri lwo, ne byonna bajjajjaabo bye baatereka, lwe biritwalibwa e Babulooni. Tewaliba kintu ekirisigalawo,” bw’ayogera Mukama.
18 'Of your sons who shall issue from you, whom you shall father, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.'"
“Era abamu ku bazzukulu bo, ab’omubiri gwo n’omusaayi gwo, abaliba bakuzaaliddwa balitwalibwa mu busibe, era baliba balaawe mu lubiri lwa kabaka w’e Babulooni.”
19 Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, "The word of YHWH which you have spoken is good." He said moreover, "Isn't it so, if peace and truth shall be in my days?"
Keezeekiya n’addamu nti, “Ekigambo kya Mukama ekyo ky’oyogedde kirungi.” Yalowooza mu mutima gwe nti, “Kasita, emirembe n’obutebenkevu binaabeerangawo mu mirembe gyange.”
20 Now the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and all his might, and how he made the pool, and the conduit, and brought water into the city, aren't they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
Ebirala byonna ebyabaawo mu mirembe gya Keezeekiya n’ebyobuzira bye byonna, ne bwe yakola ekidiba n’omudumu omunene ebyaleetanga amazzi mu kibuga, tebyawandiikibwa mu kitabo ky’ebyafaayo eky’ebyomumirembe bya bassekabaka ba Yuda?
21 Hezekiah slept with his fathers; and Manasseh his son reigned in his place.
Keezeekiya n’afa, mutabani we Manase n’amusikira okuba kabaka.
