2 Corinthians 9
1 It is indeed unnecessary for me to write to you concerning the service to the saints,
Porque en cuanto al servicio que se hace para los santos, por demás me es escribiros.
2 for I know your readiness, of which I boast on your behalf to them of Macedonia, that Achaia has been prepared for a year past. Your zeal has stirred up very many of them.
Porque conozco la prontitud de vuestro ánimo, por cuyo motivo me jacto de vosotros entre los de Macedonia, que Acaya está apercibida desde el año pasado; y vuestro zelo ha provocado a muchos.
3 But I have sent the brothers that our boasting on your behalf may not be in vain in this respect, that, just as I said, you may be prepared,
Sin embargo he enviado a los hermanos, porque nuestra jactancia de vosotros no sea vana en esta parte; para que, como lo he dicho, estéis apercibidos;
4 so that I won't by any means, if there come with me any of Macedonia and find you unprepared, we (to say nothing of you) should be disappointed in this confidence.
Porque no sea que si vinieren conmigo los Macedonios, os hallen desapercibidos, y nos avergoncemos nosotros, (por no decir vosotros, ) de este atrevimiento de jactancia.
5 I thought it necessary therefore to entreat the brothers that they would go before to you, and arrange ahead of time the generous gift that you promised before, that the same might be ready as a matter of generosity, and not of greediness.
Por tanto tuve por cosa necesaria exhortar a los hermanos que viniesen primero a vosotros, y aparejasen primero vuestra bendición antes prometida, para que esté aparejada como cosa de bendición, y no como de avaricia.
6 Remember this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly. He who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
Esto empero digo: El que siembra con escasez, con escasez también segará; y el que siembra con abundancia, con abundancia también segará.
7 Each person should give according as he has determined in his heart; not grudgingly, or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver.
Cada uno como propuso en su corazón, así dé, no con tristeza, o por necesidad; porque Dios ama el dador alegre.
8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work.
Y poderoso es Dios para hacer que abunde en vosotros toda gracia, para que teniendo siempre en todo, todo lo que habéis menester, abundéis para toda obra buena:
9 As it is written, "He has scattered, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever." (aiōn g165)
Como está escrito: Derramó; dio a los pobres; su justicia permanece para siempre. (aiōn g165)
10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, will supply and multiply your seed for sowing, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;
Y el que da la simiente al que siembra, también dará pan para comer; y multiplicará vuestra sementera, y aumentará los frutos de vuestra justicia;
11 you being enriched in everything to all liberality, which works through us thanksgiving to God.
Para que enriquecidos en todo, abundéis en toda liberalidad, la cual obra por medio de nosotros acción de gracias a Dios.
12 For this service of giving that you perform not only makes up for lack among the saints, but abounds also through many thanksgivings to God;
Porque la administración de este servicio no solamente suple lo que a los santos falta, mas también abunda en muchas acciones de gracias a Dios;
13 seeing that through the proof given by this service, they glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the Good News of Christ, and for the liberality of your contribution to them and to all;
Mientras ellos, por la experiencia de esta administración, glorifican a Dios por vuestra sujeción que profesáis al evangelio de Cristo, y por la liberalidad de vuestra repartición para con ellos, y para con todos;
14 while they themselves also, with petition on your behalf, yearn for you by reason of the exceeding grace of God in you.
Y por la oración de ellos por vosotros, los cuales os aman de corazón a causa de la eminente gracia de Dios en vosotros,
15 Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift.
Gracias a Dios por su inenarrable don.
