2 Chronicles 8

1 It happened at the end of twenty years, in which Solomon had built the house of YHWH, and his own house,

۱ و بعد از انقضای بیست سالی که سلیمان خانه خداوند و خانه خود را بنا می‌کرد،

2 that the cities which Hiram had given to Solomon, Solomon built them, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.

۲ سلیمان شهرهایی را که حورام به سلیمان داده بود تعمیر نمود، و بنی‌اسرائیل را در آنها ساکن گردانید.

3 Solomon went to Hamath Zobah, and prevailed against it.

۳ و سلیمان به حمات صوبه رفته، آن راتسخیر نمود.

4 He built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the storage cities, which he built in Hamath.

۴ و تدمور را در بیابان و همه شهرهای خزینه را که در حمات بنا کرده بود به اتمام رسانید.

5 Also he built Upper Beth Horon, and Lower Beth Horon, fortified cities, with walls, gates, and bars;

۵ و بیت حورون بالا و بیت حورون پایین را بنا نمود که شهرهای حصاردار با دیوارهاو دروازه‌ها و پشت بندها بود.

6 and Baalath, and all the storage cities that Solomon had, and all the cities for his chariots, and the cities for his horsemen, and all that Solomon desired to build for his pleasure in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.

۶ و بعله و همه شهرهای خزانه را که سلیمان داشت، و جمیع شهرهای ارابه‌ها و شهرهای سواران را و هرآنچه را که سلیمان می‌خواست در اورشلیم و لبنان وتمامی زمین مملکت خویش بنا نماید (بنا نمود).

7 As for all the people who were left of the Hethites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, who were not of Israel;

۷ و تمامی کسانی که از حتیان و اموریان و فرزیان و حویان و یبوسیان باقی‌مانده، و از بنی‌اسرائیل نبودند،

8 of their descendants who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel did not destroy, of them Solomon conscripted for slave labor to this day.

۸ یعنی از پسران ایشان که در زمین بعد ازایشان باقی‌مانده بودند، و بنی‌اسرائیل ایشان را هلاک نکرده بودند، سلیمان از ایشان تا امروزسخره گرفت.

9 But of the children of Israel, Solomon made no slaves for his work; but they were men of war, and his commanders, and his captains, and rulers of his chariots and of his horsemen.

۹ اما از بنی‌اسرائیل سلیمان احدی را برای کار خود به غلامی نگرفت بلکه ایشان مردان جنگی و سرداران ابطال و سرداران ارابه هاو سواران او بودند.

10 These were the chief officers of king Solomon: five hundred fifty, who ruled over the people.

۱۰ و سروران مقدم سلیمان پادشاه که برقوم حکمرانی می‌کردند دویست وپنجاه نفر بودند.

11 Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the City of David to the house that he had built for her; for he said, "My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places where the ark of YHWH has come are holy."

۱۱ و سلیمان دختر فرعون را از شهر داود به خانه‌ای که برایش بنا کرده بود آورد، زیرا گفت: «زن من در خانه داود پادشاه اسرائیل ساکن نخواهد شد، چونکه همه جایهایی که تابوت خداوند داخل آنها شده است مقدس می‌باشد.»

12 Then Solomon offered burnt offerings to YHWH on the altar of YHWH, which he had built before the porch,

۱۲ آنگاه سلیمان قربانی های سوختنی برمذبح خداوند که آن را پیش رواق بنا کرده بودبرای خداوند گذرانید.

13 even as the duty of every day required, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the Sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the set feasts, three times in the year, in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tents.

۱۳ یعنی قربانی های سوختنی قسمت هر روز در روزش برحسب فرمان موسی در روزهای سبت، و غره‌ها و سه مرتبه در هر سال در مواسم یعنی در عید فطیر وعید هفته‌ها و عید خیمه‌ها.

14 He appointed, according to the ordinance of David his father, the divisions of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their offices, to praise, and to minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required; the doorkeepers also by their divisions at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.

۱۴ و فرقه های کاهنان را برحسب امر پدر خود داود بر سر خدمت ایشان معین کرد و لاویان را بر سر شغلهای ایشان تا تسبیح بخوانند و به حضور کاهنان لوازم خدمت هر روز را در روزش بجا آورند و دربانان را برحسب فرقه های ایشان بر هر دروازه (قرارداد)، زیرا که داود مرد خدا چنین امر فرموده بود.

15 They did not depart from the commandment of the king to the priests and Levites concerning any matter, or concerning the treasures.

۱۵ و ایشان از حکمی که پادشاه درباره هر امری ودرباره خزانه‌ها به کاهنان و لاویان داده بود تجاوزننمودند.

16 Now all the work of Solomon was carried out from the day of the foundation of the house of YHWH, until it was finished. So the house of YHWH was completed.

۱۶ پس تمامی کار سلیمان از روزی که بنیادخانه خداوند نهاده شد تا روزی که تمام گشت، نیکو آراسته شد، و خانه خداوند به اتمام رسید.

17 Then went Solomon to Ezion Geber, and to Eilat, on the seashore in the land of Edom.

۱۷ آنگاه سلیمان به عصیون جابر و به ایلوت که بر کنار دریا در زمین ادوم است، رفت.

18 And Hiram sent him ships and servants who had knowledge of the sea by the hands of his servants; and they came with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and fetched from there four hundred fifty talents of gold, and brought them to king Solomon.

۱۸ وحورام کشتیها و نوکرانی را که در دریا مهارت داشتند به‌دست خادمان خود برای وی فرستاد وایشان با بندگان سلیمان به اوفیر رفتند، وچهارصد و پنجاه وزنه طلا از آنجا گرفته، برای سلیمان پادشاه آوردند.
