2 Chronicles 16
1 In the six and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa, Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, that he might not allow anyone to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.
आसाका राजकालको छत्तीसौँ वर्षमा इस्राएलका राजा बाशा यहूदाको विरूद्ध आक्रामक रूपले प्रस्तुत भए र रामालाई बजमूत गराए, ताकि कोही पनि यहूदाका राजा आसाको देशभित्र जान र बाहिर आउन नसकून् ।
2 Then Asa brought out silver and gold out of the treasures of the house of YHWH and of the king's house, and sent to Ben Hadad king of Aram, who lived at Damascus, saying,
त्यसपछि आसाले परमप्रभुको मन्दिर र राजाको महलका भण्डारका सुन र चाँदीहरू निकालेर ती दमस्कसमा बस्ने अरामका राजा बेन-हददकहाँ पठाए । तिनले भने,
3 "Let there be a treaty between me and you, as there was between my father and your father. Look, I have sent you silver and gold. Go, break your treaty with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me."
“मेरा पिता र तपाईंका पिताको बिचमा भएजस्तै मेरो र तपाईंका बिचमा पनि एउटा करार होस् । हेर्नुहोस्, मैले तपाईंलाई चाँदी र सुन पठाएको छु । इस्राएलका राजा बाशासँग तपाईंको सन्धि तोडिदिनुहोस्, ताकि तिनले मलाई हस्तक्षेप नगरुन् ।”
4 Ben Hadad listened to king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel; and they struck Ijon, and Dan, and Abel Maim, and all the storage cities of Naphtali.
बेन-हददले आसा राजाको कुरा स्वीकार गरेर आफ्ना फौजका कमाण्डरलाई इस्राएलका सहरहरूका विरुद्धमा लड्न पठाए । तिनीहरूले इयोन, दान, हाबिल-मैम र नप्तालीका सबै भण्डार राख्ने सहरमाथि आक्रमण गरे ।
5 It happened, when Baasha heard of it, that he left off building Ramah, and let his work cease.
जब बाशाले यो कुरा सुने तब यस्तो भयो, तिनले रामालाई मजबूत बनाउन छोडिदिए, र आफ्ना काम बन्द गरिदिए ।
6 Then Asa the king took all Judah; and they carried away the stones of Ramah, and its timber, with which Baasha had built; and he built therewith Geba and Mizpah.
त्यसपछि आसा राजाले यहूदाका सबैलाई आफूसित लगे । तिनीहरूले बाशाले बनाउँदै गरेको रामाका ढुङ्गा र काठहरू उठाएर लगे । त्यसपछि आसा राजाले गेबा र मिस्पालाई मजबूत पार्न ती सामाग्री प्रयोग गरे ।
7 At that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said to him, "Because you have relied on the king of Aram, and have not relied on YHWH your God, therefore is the army of the king of Aram escaped out of your hand.
त्यस बेला दर्शी हनानी यहूदाका राजा आसाकहाँ आए र तिनलाई भने, “तपाईंले अरामका राजामाथि भरोसा गर्नुभएको हुनाले र परमप्रभु आफ्ना परमेश्वरमाथि भरोसा नगर्नुभएको हुनाले गर्दा अरामका राजाको फौज तपाईंको हातबाट उम्केको छ ।
8 Weren't the Ethiopians and the Lubim a huge army, with chariots and horsemen exceeding many? Yet, because you relied on YHWH, he delivered them into your hand.
के कूशीहरू र लिबियालीहरू असंख्य रथ र घोड़चढ़ीहरू भएको विशाल फौज थिएनन्? तापनि तपाईंले परमप्रभुमाथि भरोसा राख्नुभएको हुनाले, उहाँले तपाईंलाई उनीहरूमाथि विजय दिनुभयो ।
9 For the eyes of YHWH run back and forth throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein you have done foolishly; for from now on you shall have wars."
किनकि परमप्रभुको दृष्टि सारा पृथ्वीभरि जहाँसुकै दौडिरहन्छ, ताकि जसका हृदय उहाँप्रति समर्पित छन्, तिनीहरूका पक्षमा उहाँले आफैलाई बलियो देखाउन सक्नुभएको होस् । तर यस विषयमा तपाईंले मूर्खतासाथ काम गर्नुभयो । अबदेखि तपाईंले युद्ध गर्नुपर्नेछ ।”
10 Then Asa was angry with the seer, and put him in the prison; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. Asa oppressed some of the people at the same time.
त्यसपछि आसा ती दर्शीसँग रिसाए । उनले तिनलाई थुनामा राखे, किनकि यस विषयमा थिनीसित उनी रिसाएका थिए । यसै समयमा, आसाले केही मानिसहरूमाथि अत्याचार गरे ।
11 Look, the acts of Asa, first and last, look, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
हेर, आसाका सुरुदेखि अन्तसम्मका कामहरू यहूदा र इस्राएलका राजाहरूका पुस्तकमा लेखिएका छन् ।
12 In the thirty-ninth year of his reign Asa was diseased in his feet; his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he did not seek YHWH, but to the physicians.
आफ्नो राजकालको उनन्चालिसौँ वर्षमा आसालाई खुट्टामा रोग लाग्यो । तिनको त्यो रोग साह्रै गम्भीर भए तापनि तिनले परमप्रभुबाट सहायता खोजेनन्, तर वैद्यहरूको मात्र सल्लाह लिए ।
13 Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year of his reign.
तब आफ्नो राजकालको एकचालिसौँ वर्षमा मरेर, तिनी आफ्ना पुर्खाहरूसित सुते ।
14 They buried him in his own tomb that he had dug out in the City of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with spices and various kinds of sweet-scented herbs prepared by the perfumers' art, and they made a very great fire for him.
तिनको आफ्नै चिहानमा तिनलाई तिनीहरूले गाडे, जुन तिनले दाऊदको सहरमा आफ्नो निम्ति खन्न लगाएका थिए । उनलाई सुगन्धित वासनाहरू र अत्तरहरू बनाउने निपुण मानिसहरूद्वारा तयार गारिएको विभिन्न किसिमका मसलाहरू मिलाइएको अर्थीमा राखियो । अनि तिनीहरूले उनको सम्झनामा एउटा ठूलो आगो बाले ।
