1 Timothy 1

1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus according to the commandment of God our Savior, and Christ Jesus our hope;

ਅਸ੍ਮਾਕੰ ਤ੍ਰਾਣਕਰ੍ੱਤੁਰੀਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯਾਸ੍ਮਾਕੰ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਾਸ਼ਾਭੂਮੇਃ ਪ੍ਰਭੋ ਰ੍ਯੀਸ਼ੁਖ੍ਰੀਸ਼਼੍ਟਸ੍ਯ ਚਾਜ੍ਞਾਨੁਸਾਰਤੋ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਖ੍ਰੀਸ਼਼੍ਟਸ੍ਯ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤਃ ਪੌਲਃ ਸ੍ਵਕੀਯੰ ਸਤ੍ਯੰ ਧਰ੍ੰਮਪੁਤ੍ਰੰ ਤੀਮਥਿਯੰ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਪਤ੍ਰੰ ਲਿਖਤਿ|

2 to Timothy, my true child in faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

ਅਸ੍ਮਾਕੰ ਤਾਤ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰੋ(ਅ)ਸ੍ਮਾਕੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਰ੍ਯੀਸ਼ੁਖ੍ਰੀਸ਼਼੍ਟਸ਼੍ਚ ਤ੍ਵਯਿ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੰ ਦਯਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਨ੍ਤਿਞ੍ਚ ਕੁਰ੍ੱਯਾਸ੍ਤਾਂ|

3 As I urged you when I was going into Macedonia, stay at Ephesus that you might command certain people not to teach a different doctrine,

ਮਾਕਿਦਨਿਯਾਦੇਸ਼ੇ ਮਮ ਗਮਨਕਾਲੇ ਤ੍ਵਮ੍ ਇਫਿਸ਼਼ਨਗਰੇ ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਨ੍ ਇਤਰਸ਼ਿਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾ ਨ ਗ੍ਰਹੀਤਵ੍ਯਾ, ਅਨਨ੍ਤੇਸ਼਼ੂਪਾਖ੍ਯਾਨੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਵੰਸ਼ਾਵਲਿਸ਼਼ੁ ਚ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਭਿ ਰ੍ਮਨੋ ਨ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ਿਤਵ੍ਯਮ੍

4 neither to pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which cause speculation, rather than God's stewardship, which is in faith—

ਇਤਿ ਕਾਂਸ਼੍ਚਿਤ੍ ਲੋਕਾਨ੍ ਯਦ੍ ਉਪਦਿਸ਼ੇਰੇਤਤ੍ ਮਯਾਦਿਸ਼਼੍ਟੋ(ਅ)ਭਵਃ, ਯਤਃ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੈਰੇਤੈ ਰ੍ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸਯੁਕ੍ਤੇਸ਼੍ਵਰੀਯਨਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਾ ਨ ਜਾਯਤੇ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਵਿਵਾਦੋ ਜਾਯਤੇ|

5 but the goal of this command is love, out of a pure heart and a good conscience and sincere faith;

ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਸ੍ਯ ਤ੍ਵਭਿਪ੍ਰੇਤੰ ਫਲੰ ਨਿਰ੍ੰਮਲਾਨ੍ਤਃਕਰਣੇਨ ਸਤ੍ਸੰਵੇਦੇਨ ਨਿਸ਼਼੍ਕਪਟਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸੇਨ ਚ ਯੁਕ੍ਤੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ|

6 from which things some, having missed the mark, have turned aside to vain talking;

ਕੇਚਿਤ੍ ਜਨਾਸ਼੍ਚ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਾਣ੍ਯੇਤਾਨਿ ਵਿਹਾਯ ਨਿਰਰ੍ਥਕਕਥਾਨਾਮ੍ ਅਨੁਗਮਨੇਨ ਵਿਪਥਗਾਮਿਨੋ(ਅ)ਭਵਨ੍,

7 desiring to be teachers of the law, though they understand neither what they say, nor about what they strongly affirm.

ਯਦ੍ ਭਾਸ਼਼ਨ੍ਤੇ ਯੱਚ ਨਿਸ਼੍ਚਿਨ੍ਵਨ੍ਤਿ ਤੰਨ ਬੁਧ੍ਯਮਾਨਾ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥੋਪਦੇਸ਼਼੍ਟਾਰੋ ਭਵਿਤੁਮ੍ ਇੱਛਨ੍ਤਿ|

8 But we know that the law is good, if one uses it lawfully,

ਸਾ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾ ਯਦਿ ਯੋਗ੍ਯਰੂਪੇਣ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹ੍ਯਤੇ ਤਰ੍ਹ੍ਯੁੱਤਮਾ ਭਵਤੀਤਿ ਵਯੰ ਜਾਨੀਮਃ|

9 as knowing this, that law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their father or mother, for murderers,

ਅਪਰੰ ਸਾ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾ ਧਾਰ੍ੰਮਿਕਸ੍ਯ ਵਿਰੁੱਧਾ ਨ ਭਵਤਿ ਕਿਨ੍ਤ੍ਵਧਾਰ੍ੰਮਿਕੋ (ਅ)ਵਾਧ੍ਯੋ ਦੁਸ਼਼੍ਟਃ ਪਾਪਿਸ਼਼੍ਠੋ (ਅ)ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰੋ (ਅ)ਸ਼ੁਚਿਃ ਪਿਤ੍ਰੁʼਹਨ੍ਤਾ ਮਾਤ੍ਰੁʼਹਨ੍ਤਾ ਨਰਹਨ੍ਤਾ

10 for the sexually immoral, for men who have sexual relations with men, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and for whatever else is contrary to sound teaching;

ਵੇਸ਼੍ਯਾਗਾਮੀ ਪੁੰਮੈਥੁਨੀ ਮਨੁਸ਼਼੍ਯਵਿਕ੍ਰੇਤਾ ਮਿਥ੍ਯਾਵਾਦੀ ਮਿਥ੍ਯਾਸ਼ਪਥਕਾਰੀ ਚ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੇਸ਼਼ਾਮੇਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧਾ,

11 according to the Good News of the glory of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

ਤਥਾ ਸੱਚਿਦਾਨਨ੍ਦੇਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਯੋ ਵਿਭਵਯੁਕ੍ਤਃ ਸੁਸੰਵਾਦੋ ਮਯਿ ਸਮਰ੍ਪਿਤਸ੍ਤਦਨੁਯਾਯਿਹਿਤੋਪਦੇਸ਼ਸ੍ਯ ਵਿਪਰੀਤੰ ਯਤ੍ ਕਿਞ੍ਚਿਦ੍ ਭਵਤਿ ਤਦ੍ਵਿਰੁੱਧਾ ਸਾ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥੇਤਿ ਤਦ੍ਗ੍ਰਾਹਿਣਾ ਜ੍ਞਾਤਵ੍ਯੰ|

12 And I thank him who enabled me, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he counted me faithful, appointing me to service;

ਮਹ੍ਯੰ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਤਿਦਾਤਾ ਯੋ(ਅ)ਸ੍ਮਾਕੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੁਃ ਖ੍ਰੀਸ਼਼੍ਟਯੀਸ਼ੁਸ੍ਤਮਹੰ ਧਨ੍ਯੰ ਵਦਾਮਿ|

13 although I was before a blasphemer, a persecutor, and insolent. However, I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

ਯਤਃ ਪੁਰਾ ਨਿਨ੍ਦਕ ਉਪਦ੍ਰਾਵੀ ਹਿੰਸਕਸ਼੍ਚ ਭੂਤ੍ਵਾਪ੍ਯਹੰ ਤੇਨ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸ੍ਯੋ (ਅ)ਮਨ੍ਯੇ ਪਰਿਚਾਰਕਤ੍ਵੇ ਨ੍ਯਯੁਜ੍ਯੇ ਚ| ਤਦ੍ ਅਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸਾਚਰਣਮ੍ ਅਜ੍ਞਾਨੇਨ ਮਯਾ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤਮਿਤਿ ਹੇਤੋਰਹੰ ਤੇਨਾਨੁਕਮ੍ਪਿਤੋ(ਅ)ਭਵੰ|

14 The grace of our Lord abounded exceedingly with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

ਅਪਰੰ ਖ੍ਰੀਸ਼਼੍ਟੇ ਯੀਸ਼ੌ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸਪ੍ਰੇਮਭ੍ਯਾਂ ਸਹਿਤੋ(ਅ)ਸ੍ਮਤ੍ਪ੍ਰਭੋਰਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੋ (ਅ)ਤੀਵ ਪ੍ਰਚੁਰੋ(ਅ)ਭਤ੍|

15 The saying is faithful and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

ਪਾਪਿਨਃ ਪਰਿਤ੍ਰਾਤੁੰ ਖ੍ਰੀਸ਼਼੍ਟੋ ਯੀਸ਼ੁ ਰ੍ਜਗਤਿ ਸਮਵਤੀਰ੍ਣੋ(ਅ)ਭਵਤ੍, ਏਸ਼਼ਾ ਕਥਾ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸਨੀਯਾ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੈ ਗ੍ਰਹਣੀਯਾ ਚ|

16 However, for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first, Jesus Christ might display all his patience, for an example of those who were going to believe in him for everlasting life. (aiōnios g166)

ਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਪਾਪਿਨਾਂ ਮਧ੍ਯੇ(ਅ)ਹੰ ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਆਸੰ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਯੇ ਮਾਨਵਾ ਅਨਨ੍ਤਜੀਵਨਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਤ੍ਯਰ੍ਥੰ ਤਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਸਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਨ੍ਤਿ ਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟਾਨ੍ਤੇ ਮਯਿ ਪ੍ਰਥਮੇ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਨਾ ਖ੍ਰੀਸ਼਼੍ਟੇਨ ਸ੍ਵਕੀਯਾ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਸ੍ਨਾ ਚਿਰਸਹਿਸ਼਼੍ਣੁਤਾ ਯਤ੍ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼੍ਯਤੇ ਤਦਰ੍ਥਮੇਵਾਹਮ੍ ਅਨੁਕਮ੍ਪਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਤਵਾਨ੍| (aiōnios g166)

17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)

ਅਨਾਦਿਰਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਯੋ(ਅ)ਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼੍ਯੋ ਰਾਜਾ ਯੋ(ਅ)ਦ੍ਵਿਤੀਯਃ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਜ੍ਞ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਤਸ੍ਯ ਗੌਰਵੰ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਚਾਨਨ੍ਤਕਾਲੰ ਯਾਵਦ੍ ਭੂਯਾਤ੍| ਆਮੇਨ੍| (aiōn g165)

18 This instruction I commit to you, my child Timothy, according to the prophecies which led the way to you, that by them you may wage the good warfare;

ਹੇ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਤੀਮਥਿਯ ਤ੍ਵਯਿ ਯਾਨਿ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਦ੍ਵਾਕ੍ਯਾਨਿ ਪੁਰਾ ਕਥਿਤਾਨਿ ਤਦਨੁਸਾਰਾਦ੍ ਅਹਮ੍ ਏਨਮਾਦੇਸ਼ੰ ਤ੍ਵਯਿ ਸਮਰ੍ਪਯਾਮਿ, ਤਸ੍ਯਾਭਿਪ੍ਰਾਯੋ(ਅ)ਯੰ ਯੱਤ੍ਵੰ ਤੈ ਰ੍ਵਾਕ੍ਯੈਰੁੱਤਮਯੁੱਧੰ ਕਰੋਸ਼਼ਿ

19 holding faith and a good conscience; which some having thrust away made a shipwreck concerning the faith;

ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸੰ ਸਤ੍ਸੰਵੇਦਞ੍ਚ ਧਾਰਯਸਿ ਚ| ਅਨਯੋਃ ਪਰਿਤ੍ਯਾਗਾਤ੍ ਕੇਸ਼਼ਾਞ੍ਚਿਦ੍ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸਤਰੀ ਭਗ੍ਨਾਭਵਤ੍|

20 of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I delivered to Satan, that they might be taught not to blaspheme.

ਹੁਮਿਨਾਯਸਿਕਨ੍ਦਰੌ ਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਯੌ ਦ੍ਵੌ ਜਨੌ, ਤੌ ਯਦ੍ ਧਰ੍ੰਮਨਿਨ੍ਦਾਂ ਪੁਨ ਰ੍ਨ ਕਰ੍ੱਤੁੰ ਸ਼ਿਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੇਤੇ ਤਦਰ੍ਥੰ ਮਯਾ ਸ਼ਯਤਾਨਸ੍ਯ ਕਰੇ ਸਮਰ੍ਪਿਤੌ|
