1 Samuel 7
1 The men of Kiriath Jearim came and took up the ark of YHWH and brought it into the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill, and sanctified Eleazar his son to keep the ark of YHWH.
೧ಆಗ ಕಿರ್ಯತ್ಯಾರೀಮಿನವರು ಬಂದು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ, ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಮೇಲೆ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅಬೀನಾದಾಬನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟು, ಅವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾಜಾರನನ್ನು ಅದರ ಸೇವೆಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿಸಿದರು.
2 It happened, from the day that the ark stayed in Kiriath Jearim, that the time was long; for it was twenty years: and all the house of Israel lamented after YHWH.
೨ಮಂಜೂಷವು ಕಿರ್ಯಾತ್ಯಾರೀಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಬಹಳ ದಿನಗಳು ಅಂದರೆ, ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ವರ್ಷಗಳು ಕಳೆದು ಹೋದವು. ಈ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರು ದುಃಖಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಹಂಬಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
3 Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying, "If you do return to YHWH with all your heart, then put away the foreign gods and the Ashtaroth from among you, and direct your hearts to YHWH, and serve him only; and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines."
೩ಆಗ ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಪೂರ್ಣಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದಾದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅಷ್ಟೋರೆತ್ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಅನ್ಯದೇವತೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಟ್ಟು ಆತನೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನೇ ಸೇವಿಸಿರಿ. ಆಗ ಆತನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸಿ ಕಾಪಾಡುವನು” ಅಂದನು.
4 Then the children of Israel removed the Baals and the Ashtaroth, and served YHWH only.
೪ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರು ಬಾಳ್ ಅಷ್ಟೋರೆತ್ ದೇವತೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿ ಯೆಹೋವನೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನೇ ಆರಾಧಿಸತೊಡಗಿದರು.
5 Samuel said, "Gather all Israel to Mizpah, and I will pray for you to YHWH."
೫ಸಮುವೇಲನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಮಿಚ್ಪೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡಿಬರಲಿ; ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುವೆನು” ಅಂದನು.
6 They gathered together to Mizpah, and drew water, and poured it out before YHWH, and fasted on that day, and said, "We have sinned against YHWH." Samuel judged the children of Israel in Mizpah.
೬ಅವರು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡಿಬಂದು, ನೀರು ಸೇದಿ, ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೊಯ್ದು, ಆ ದಿನ ಉಪವಾಸವಿದ್ದು, “ನಾವು ನಿನಗೆ ದ್ರೋಹಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಅರಿಕೆಮಾಡಿದರು. ಆನಂತರ ಸಮುವೇಲನು ನ್ಯಾಯಪಾಲಕನಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಮಿಚ್ಪೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ತೀರಿಸಿದನು.
7 When the Philistines heard that the children of Israel were gathered together at Mizpah, the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel. When the children of Israel heard it, they were afraid of the Philistines.
೭ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರು ಮಿಚ್ಪೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡಿಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರಿಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾದಾಗ ಅವರ ರಾಜರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟರು. ಇದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು ಸಮುವೇಲನಿಗೆ,
8 The children of Israel said to Samuel, "Do not cease to cry to YHWH our God for us, that he will save us out of the hand of the Philistines."
೮“ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನೀನು ನಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಮೊರೆಯಿಡು, ಸುಮ್ಮನಿರಬೇಡ” ಅಂದರು.
9 Samuel took a suckling lamb, and offered it for a whole burnt offering to YHWH: and Samuel cried to YHWH for Israel; and YHWH answered him.
೯ಆಗ ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಹಾಲುಕುಡಿಯುವ ಕುರಿಮರಿಯನ್ನು ತಂದು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಸರ್ವಾಂಗಹೋಮವಾಗಿ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಮೊರೆಯಿಡಲು ಆತನು ಸದುತ್ತರವನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದನು.
10 As Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel; but YHWH thundered with a great thunder on that day on the Philistines, and confused them; and they were struck down before Israel.
೧೦ಹೇಗೆಂದರೆ, ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಯಜ್ಞವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವ ವೇಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಸಮೀಪಿಸಲಾಗಿ, ಯೆಹೋವನು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಗುಡುಗಿನಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಳವಳಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ಸೋತು ಓಡಿ ಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
11 The men of Israel went out of Mizpah, and pursued the Philistines, and struck them, as far as below Beth Kar.
೧೧ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಾದರೋ ಮಿಚ್ಪೆಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿ ಬೇತ್ಕರಿನ ತಗ್ಗಿನವರೆಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹತಮಾಡಿದರು.
12 Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpah and Jashan, and called its name Ebenezer, saying, "YHWH helped us until now."
೧೨ಅನಂತರ ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಮಿಚ್ಪೆಗೂ ಶೇನಿಗೂ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಕಲ್ಲನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ, “ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಲ್ಲಿಯವರೆಗೆ ನಮಗೆ ಸಹಾಯಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಎಬೆನೆಜೆರ್ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟನು.
13 So the Philistines were subdued, and they came no more within the territory of Israel. The hand of YHWH was against the Philistines all the days of Samuel.
೧೩ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ತಗ್ಗಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟದರಿಂದ ತಿರುಗಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದೊಳಗೆ ಬರಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಸಮುವೇಲನ ಜೀವಮಾನದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಹಸ್ತವು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೇ ಇತ್ತು.
14 The cities which the Philistines had taken from Israel were restored to Israel, from Ekron even to Gath; and Israel recovered its territory out of the hand of the Philistines. There was peace between Israel and the Amorites.
೧೪ಅವರು ಎಕ್ರೋನ್ ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಗತ್ ಊರಿನ ವರೆಗೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಂದ ಕಿತ್ತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೇ ದೊರಕಿದವು. ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳನ್ನೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡರು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೂ ಅಮೋರಿಯರಿಗೂ ಸಮಾಧಾನವಿತ್ತು.
15 Samuel judged Israel all the days of his life.
೧೫ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಜೀವದಿಂದ ಇರುವವರೆಗೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
16 He went from year to year in circuit to Bethel and Gilgal, and Mizpah; and he judged Israel in all those places.
೧೬ಅವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ನ್ಯಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ತೀರಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಪ್ರತಿವರ್ಷವೂ ಬೇತೇಲ್, ಗಿಲ್ಗಾಲ್, ಮಿಚ್ಪೆ ಎಂಬ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತಿ ರಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
17 His return was to Ramah, for there was his house; and there he judged Israel: and he built there an altar to YHWH.
೧೭ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಮನೆಯಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ವಿವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ತೀರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
