1 Peter 2
1 Putting away therefore all wickedness, and all deceit, and hypocrisy, and envy, and all slander,
సర్వ్వాన్ ద్వేషాన్ సర్వ్వాంశ్చ ఛలాన్ కాపట్యానీర్ష్యాః సమస్తగ్లానికథాశ్చ దూరీకృత్య
2 as newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby to salvation,
యుష్మాభిః పరిత్రాణాయ వృద్ధిప్రాప్త్యర్థం నవజాతశిశుభిరివ ప్రకృతం వాగ్దుగ్ధం పిపాస్యతాం|
3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good:
యతః ప్రభు ర్మధుర ఏతస్యాస్వాదం యూయం ప్రాప్తవన్తః|
4 coming to him, a living stone, though rejected by people but chosen by God, precious.
అపరం మానుషైరవజ్ఞాతస్య కిన్త్వీశ్వరేణాభిరుచితస్య బహుమూల్యస్య జీవత్ప్రస్తరస్యేవ తస్య ప్రభోః సన్నిధిమ్ ఆగతా
5 You also, as living stones, are built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
యూయమపి జీవత్ప్రస్తరా ఇవ నిచీయమానా ఆత్మికమన్దిరం ఖ్రీష్టేన యీశునా చేశ్వరతోషకాణామ్ ఆత్మికబలీనాం దానార్థం పవిత్రో యాజకవర్గో భవథ|
6 Because it is contained in Scripture, "Look, I am laying in Zion a stone, a chosen precious cornerstone, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame."
యతః శాస్త్రే లిఖితమాస్తే, యథా, పశ్య పాషాణ ఏకో ఽస్తి సీయోని స్థాపితో మయా| ముఖ్యకోణస్య యోగ్యః స వృతశ్చాతీవ మూల్యవాన్| యో జనో విశ్వసేత్ తస్మిన్ స లజ్జాం న గమిష్యతి|
7 For you who believe therefore is the honor, but for those who do not believe, "The stone which the builders rejected, has become the chief cornerstone,"
విశ్వాసినాం యుష్మాకమేవ సమీపే స మూల్యవాన్ భవతి కిన్త్వవిశ్వాసినాం కృతే నిచేతృభిరవజ్ఞాతః స పాషాణః కోణస్య భిత్తిమూలం భూత్వా బాధాజనకః పాషాణః స్ఖలనకారకశ్చ శైలో జాతః|
8 and, "a stone to stumble over, and a rock to trip over." For they stumble at the word, being disobedient, to which also they were appointed.
తే చావిశ్వాసాద్ వాక్యేన స్ఖలన్తి స్ఖలనే చ నియుక్తాః సన్తి|
9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:
కిన్తు యూయం యేనాన్ధకారమధ్యాత్ స్వకీయాశ్చర్య్యదీప్తిమధ్యమ్ ఆహూతాస్తస్య గుణాన్ ప్రకాశయితుమ్ అభిరుచితో వంశో రాజకీయో యాజకవర్గః పవిత్రా జాతిరధికర్త్తవ్యాః ప్రజాశ్చ జాతాః|
10 who once were not a people, but now are God's people, who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
పూర్వ్వం యూయం తస్య ప్రజా నాభవత కిన్త్విదానీమ్ ఈశ్వరస్య ప్రజా ఆధ్వే| పూర్వ్వమ్ అననుకమ్పితా అభవత కిన్త్విదానీమ్ అనుకమ్పితా ఆధ్వే|
11 Beloved, I urge you as foreigners and temporary residents, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
హే ప్రియతమాః, యూయం ప్రవాసినో విదేశినశ్చ లోకా ఇవ మనసః ప్రాతికూల్యేన యోధిభ్యః శారీరికసుఖాభిలాషేభ్యో నివర్త్తధ్వమ్ ఇత్యహం వినయే|
12 having good behavior among the nations, so in that of which they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they see, glorify God in the day of visitation.
దేవపూజకానాం మధ్యే యుష్మాకమ్ ఆచార ఏవమ్ ఉత్తమో భవతు యథా తే యుష్మాన్ దుష్కర్మ్మకారిలోకానివ పున ర్న నిన్దన్తః కృపాదృష్టిదినే స్వచక్షుర్గోచరీయసత్క్రియాభ్య ఈశ్వరస్య ప్రశంసాం కుర్య్యుః|
13 Subject yourselves to every human institution for the Lord's sake: whether to the king, as supreme;
తతో హేతో ర్యూయం ప్రభోరనురోధాత్ మానవసృష్టానాం కర్తృత్వపదానాం వశీభవత విశేషతో భూపాలస్య యతః స శ్రేష్ఠః,
14 or to governors, as sent by him for vengeance on evildoers and for praise to those who do well.
దేశాధ్యక్షాణాఞ్చ యతస్తే దుష్కర్మ్మకారిణాం దణ్డదానార్థం సత్కర్మ్మకారిణాం ప్రశంసార్థఞ్చ తేన ప్రేరితాః|
15 For this is the will of God, that by well-doing you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people:
ఇత్థం నిర్బ్బోధమానుషాణామ్ అజ్ఞానత్వం యత్ సదాచారిభి ర్యుష్మాభి ర్నిరుత్తరీక్రియతే తద్ ఈశ్వరస్యాభిమతం|
16 as free, and not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but as slaves of God.
యూయం స్వాధీనా ఇవాచరత తథాపి దుష్టతాయా వేషస్వరూపాం స్వాధీనతాం ధారయన్త ఇవ నహి కిన్త్వీశ్వరస్య దాసా ఇవ|
17 Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.
సర్వ్వాన్ సమాద్రియధ్వం భ్రాతృవర్గే ప్రీయధ్వమ్ ఈశ్వరాద్ బిభీత భూపాలం సమ్మన్యధ్వం|
18 Servants, be in subjection to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the wicked.
హే దాసాః యూయం సమ్పూర్ణాదరేణ ప్రభూనాం వశ్యా భవత కేవలం భద్రాణాం దయాలూనాఞ్చ నహి కిన్త్వనృజూనామపి|
19 For it is commendable if someone endures pain, suffering unjustly, because of conscience toward God.
యతో ఽన్యాయేన దుఃఖభోగకాల ఈశ్వరచిన్తయా యత్ క్లేశసహనం తదేవ ప్రియం|
20 For what glory is it if, when you sin, you patiently endure beating? But if, when you do well, you patiently endure suffering, this is commendable with God.
పాపం కృత్వా యుష్మాకం చపేటాఘాతసహనేన కా ప్రశంసా? కిన్తు సదాచారం కృత్వా యుష్మాకం యద్ దుఃఖసహనం తదేవేశ్వరస్య ప్రియం|
21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps,
తదర్థమేవ యూయమ్ ఆహూతా యతః ఖ్రీష్టోఽపి యుష్మన్నిమిత్తం దుఃఖం భుక్త్వా యూయం యత్ తస్య పదచిహ్నై ర్వ్రజేత తదర్థం దృష్టాన్తమేకం దర్శితవాన్|
22 who "committed no sin, nor was deceit found in his mouth."
స కిమపి పాపం న కృతవాన్ తస్య వదనే కాపి ఛలస్య కథా నాసీత్|
23 Who, when he was cursed, did not curse back. When he suffered, did not threaten, but committed himself to him who judges righteously;
నిన్దితో ఽపి సన్ స ప్రతినిన్దాం న కృతవాన్ దుఃఖం సహమానో ఽపి న భర్త్సితవాన్ కిన్తు యథార్థవిచారయితుః సమీపే స్వం సమర్పితవాన్|
24 who his own self bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by whose wounds you were healed.
వయం యత్ పాపేభ్యో నివృత్య ధర్మ్మార్థం జీవామస్తదర్థం స స్వశరీరేణాస్మాకం పాపాని క్రుశ ఊఢవాన్ తస్య ప్రహారై ర్యూయం స్వస్థా అభవత|
25 For you were going astray like sheep; but now have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
యతః పూర్వ్వం యూయం భ్రమణకారిమేషా ఇవాధ్వం కిన్త్వధునా యుష్మాకమ్ ఆత్మనాం పాలకస్యాధ్యక్షస్య చ సమీపం ప్రత్యావర్త్తితాః|
