< 1 Peter 2 >
1 Putting away therefore all wickedness, and all deceit, and hypocrisy, and envy, and all slander,
2 as newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby to salvation,
Gambira wana wanonu ntambu yawafira maweri, mfiruwa kuwera na mata ga maweri geni ga shirohu, su kwa aga mpati kukula muulopoziya wenu.
3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good:
Vinu mwenga muvimana kuwera Mtuwa ndo muheri.
4 coming to him, a living stone, though rejected by people but chosen by God, precious.
5 You also, as living stones, are built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
Na mwenga vulaa, gambira mabuwi yagawera makomu, munyawiwa muweri numba ya shirohu kweni aku hamtenderi ntambu mtambika gwa shirohu pakalaviya tambiku zya shirohu zyazijimirwa na Mlungu kupitira Yesu Kristu.
6 Because it is contained in Scripture, "Look, I am laying in Zion a stone, a chosen precious cornerstone, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame."
Toziya Mumalembu Mananagala galembitwi, “Guloli, nankutula libuwi aku Sayuni, libuwi lya lyanjiru lya mupembi lyalisyagulitwi na lya mana nentu, na muntu yoseri yakamjimira yomberi hapeni kasoniziwi.”
7 For you who believe therefore is the honor, but for those who do not believe, "The stone which the builders rejected, has become the chief cornerstone,"
Kwa mwenga yamujimira, libuwi ali lyana mana nentu. Kumbiti kwa walii yawajimira ndiri, Malembu Mananagala ntambu yagalonga, “Libuwi lyawalilemiti wanyawa numba, liwera libuwi lyaliwera na mana kuliku goseri,”
8 and, "a stone to stumble over, and a rock to trip over." For they stumble at the word, being disobedient, to which also they were appointed.
kayi galonga, “Libuwi ali ndo wantu hawalikwali, litalawu haliwatendi womberi waguwi.” Womberi walikwala toziya wajimira ndiri ujumbi wa Mlungu, na hangu ndo ntambu yawapangiwitwi kwanjira kwanja.
9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:
Kumbiti mwenga ndo lukolu lwalusyagulwa na utambika wa shifalumi na shipinga sha wantu wananagala na wantu wakuwi Mlungu, yamushemitwi kubwera matendu makulu gakulikangasha ga Mlungu, yakawashemiti kulawa muluwindu na kuwayingiziya muulangala wakuwi wa kulikangasha.
10 who once were not a people, but now are God's people, who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
Shipindi shimu, mwenga muwera ndiri wantu wa Mlungu, kumbiti vinu mwenga muwera wantu wakuwi, shipindi shimu muwoneritwi ndiri lusungu na Mlungu, kumbiti vinu muwonerwa lusungu.
11 Beloved, I urge you as foreigners and temporary residents, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
Waganja wangu, nuwahiga nentu mwenga gambira wahenga na yawapita pasipanu! Muleki matamata zidoda zyazisingana na rohu zyenu.
12 having good behavior among the nations, so in that of which they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they see, glorify God in the day of visitation.
Mfiruwa kuwera na mgenderanu guherepa nentu pakati pa wantu yawamumana ndiri Mlungu su ata pawawatakulira mtenda madoda wawezi kugamana matendu genu maheri, su wamkwisi Mlungu lishaka lya kwiza kuwatoza wantu.
13 Subject yourselves to every human institution for the Lord's sake: whether to the king, as supreme;
14 or to governors, as sent by him for vengeance on evildoers and for praise to those who do well.
15 For this is the will of God, that by well-doing you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people:
Toziya Mlungu kankufira mwenga kwa matendu genu maheri gamtenda, muwanyamaliziyi wantu wazigizigi yawahera mahala.
16 as free, and not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but as slaves of God.
Mulikali gambira wantu walekeru, kumbiti namuwutendera ulekeru wenu kuwufifa ukondola, kumbiti mulikali gambira wantumintumi wa Mlungu.
17 Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.
Muwapanani ligoya wantu woseri. Muwafiri walongu wenu waumini na mmupanani ligoya Mlungu. Mmupanani ligoya mfalumi.
18 Servants, be in subjection to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the wicked.
19 For it is commendable if someone endures pain, suffering unjustly, because of conscience toward God.
Toziya handa muhepelera kutama kwa ntabiku yamfiruwa ndiri toziya muvimana handa Mlungu kafira hangu, su Mlungu hakawatuli weri.
20 For what glory is it if, when you sin, you patiently endure beating? But if, when you do well, you patiently endure suffering, this is commendable with God.
Hamupati shishi pamuhepelera makomangu gamfiruwa toziya ya vidoda vyamtenda? Kumbiti handa pamuhepelera ntabiku ata paiweri mtenda maheri, Mlungu hakafiriziwi na mwenga.
21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps,
Aga ndo gamshemiritwi, Kristu mweni katabikiti toziya ya mwenga, na kawalekerani mfanu, su mtendi ntambu yakatenditi mweni.
22 who "committed no sin, nor was deceit found in his mouth."
Yomberi katenditi ndiri vidoda, ama katakuliti ndiri upayira woseri.
23 Who, when he was cursed, did not curse back. When he suffered, did not threaten, but committed himself to him who judges righteously;
Pawamwigiliti yomberi kawankula ndiri kwa kwigila, pakapatiti ntabiku yomberi kalaviyiti ndiri vitiriziwu, su kagatuliti matumbiru gakuwi kwa Mlungu, mtoza gwa teratera.
24 who his own self bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by whose wounds you were healed.
Yomberi mweni kavipapiti vidoda vyetu munshimba mwakuwi pakapingikitwi palupingika, su tuleki kutenda vidoda na kulikala makaliru gagamfiriziya Mlungu, na kwa vironda vyakuwi mwenga mponiziwitwi.
25 For you were going astray like sheep; but now have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
Mwenga muweriti gambira wakondolu yawaweriti wagamira, kumbiti vinu mumuwuyira Mlolera na yakawulolera ukomu wenu.
