1 Kings 3
1 And Solomon became the son-in-law of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and took Pharaoh's daughter, and brought her into the City of David, until he had made an end of building his own house, and the house of YHWH, and the wall of Jerusalem all around.
၁ရှောလမုန်မင်းသည်အီဂျစ်ဘုရင်၏သမီးကို မိဖုရားမြှောက်ခြင်းအားဖြင့် ထိုမင်းနှင့်မဟာ မိတ်ဖွဲ့တော်မူ၏။ ထို့နောက်မိမိတည်ဆောက်လျက် ရှိသည့်နန်းတော်၊ ဗိမာန်တော်နှင့်မြို့ရိုးမပြီးမီ ဒါဝိဒ်မြို့တွင်နေထိုင်ရန်မင်းသမီးအားခေါ် ဆောင်ခဲ့၏။-
2 Only the people sacrificed in the high places, because there was no house built for the name of YHWH until those days.
၂ထာဝရဘုရားအတွက်ဗိမာန်တော်မဆောက် ရသေးသဖြင့် လူတို့သည်ယဇ်ပလ္လင်အနှံ့ အပြားတို့တွင်ယဇ်ပူဇော်လျက်ရှိနေကြ သေး၏။-
3 Solomon loved YHWH, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places.
၃ရှောလမုန်မင်းသည်ထာဝရဘုရားကိုချစ်၍ မိမိခမည်းတော်၏ပြညွှန်သွန်သင်ချက်တို့ ကိုလိုက်နာသော်လည်း တိရစ္ဆာန်များကိုသတ် ၍ယဇ်ပလ္လင်အမျိုးမျိုးတွင်ယဇ်ပူဇော်လေ သည်။
4 The king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place. Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings on that altar.
၄ဂိဗောင်မြို့တွင်အလွန်ထင်ရှားကျော်စောသော ယဇ်ပလ္လင်ရှိသဖြင့် အခါတစ်ပါး၌မင်းကြီး သည်ယဇ်ပူဇော်ရန်ထိုအရပ်သို့သွားတော် မူ၏။ သူသည်ယခင်အခါများကထောင် ပေါင်းများစွာသောမီးရှို့ရာပူဇော်သကာ များကိုထိုယဇ်ပလ္လင်တွင်ပူဇော်ခဲ့ဖူး၏။-
5 In Gibeon YHWH appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, "Ask what I shall give you."
၅ယခုညဥ့်၌ထာဝရဘုရားသည်အိပ်မက် တွင်ထင်ရှားတော်မူ၍``သင်သည်အဘယ် ဆုကိုအလိုရှိသနည်း'' ဟုမေးတော်မူ၏။
6 Solomon said, "You have shown to your servant David my father great loving kindness, according as he walked before you in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with you. You have kept for him this great loving kindness, that you have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.
၆ရှောလမုန်က``ကိုယ်တော်ရှင်သည်ကိုယ်တော်၏ အစေခံ အကျွန်ုပ်၏ခမည်းတော်ဒါဝိဒ်အား မဟာမေတ္တာတော်ကိုအစဉ်အမြဲပြတော်မူ ပါ၏။ သူသည်ကိုယ်တော်ရှင်၏ရှေ့တော်တွင် ကောင်း မွန်ရိုးဖြောင့်စွာသစ္စာနှင့်ကျင့်ကြံပြုမူခဲ့ပါ၏။ သို့ဖြစ်၍ကိုယ်တော်ရှင်သည်သူ့အားသားတော် တစ်ပါးကိုပေးသနားတော်ခြင်းအားဖြင့် ကရုဏာတော်ကိုဆက်လက်၍ပြတော်မူ ပါ၏။ ယနေ့ထိုသားတော်သည် မိမိခမည်း တော်၏ရာဇပလ္လင်ပေါ်တွင်ထိုင်လျက်ရှိ ပါ၏။-
7 Now, YHWH my God, you have made your servant king instead of David my father. I am but a little child. I do not know how to go out or come in.
၇အို ဘုရားသခင်ထာဝရဘုရား၊ အကျွန်ုပ် သည်အသက်အရွယ်ငယ်၍တိုင်းပြည်ကို မအုပ်စိုးတတ်သော်လည်း ကိုယ်တော်ရှင်သည် အကျွန်ုပ်အားခမည်းတော်အရိုက်အရာ ကိုဆက်ခံစေ၍နန်းတင်တော်မူပါပြီ။-
8 Your servant is in the midst of your people which you have chosen, a great people, that can't be numbered nor counted for multitude.
၈ယခုအခါအကျွန်ုပ်သည်ကိုယ်တော်ရွေးချယ် တော်မူသောလူမျိုးကြီးအလယ်တွင်ရှိပါ၏။ ထိုသူတို့သည်ရေတွက်၍မရနိုင်အောင်ပင် များပြားပါ၏။-
9 Give your servant therefore an understanding heart to judge your people, that I may discern between good and evil; for who is able to judge this your great people?"
၉သို့ဖြစ်၍ကိုယ်တော်ရှင်၏လူမျိုးတော်အား တရားမျှတစွာအုပ်စိုးနိုင်စေရန် အကျွန်ုပ် အားဉာဏ်ပညာကိုပေးတော်မူပါ။ ယင်းသို့ ပေးတော်မမူပါလျှင်အကျွန်ုပ်သည် ဤမျှ များပြားသောကိုယ်တော်ရှင့်လူမျိုးတော်ကို အဘယ်သို့လျှင်အုပ်စိုးနိုင်ပါမည်နည်း''ဟု တောင်းလျှောက်လေ၏။
10 The speech pleased YHWH, that Solomon had asked this thing.
၁၀ဤသို့ရှောလမုန်တောင်းလျှောက်သည်ကို ထာဝရဘုရားသည်နှစ်သက်တော်မူသဖြင့်၊-
11 God said to him, "Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked for yourself long life, neither have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice;
၁၁``သင်သည်မိမိအသက်ရှည်မှု၊ ချမ်းသာကြွယ်ဝ မှုသို့မဟုတ်ရန်သူများသေကြေပျက်စီးမှု ကိုတောင်းလျှောက်မည့်အစားတရားမျှတ စွာအုပ်စိုးနိုင်ရန် ဉာဏ်ပညာကိုတောင်းလျှောက် သည်ဖြစ်၍၊-
12 look, I have done according to your word. Look, I have given you a wise and an understanding heart; so that there has been none like you before you, neither after you shall any arise like you.
၁၂သင်တောင်းလျှောက်သည့်အတိုင်းငါပြုမည်။ သင် ၏အလျင်အဘယ်သူမျှမရရှိစဖူး၊ သင်၏ နောက်၌လည်းရရှိလိမ့်မည်မဟုတ်သည့် ဉာဏ် ပညာနှင့်အသိတရားကိုသင်အားငါပေး မည်။-
13 I have also given you that which you have not asked, both riches and honor, so that there shall not be any among the kings like you, all your days.
၁၃သင်မတောင်းလျှောက်သည့်ဆုကိုလည်းငါပေး မည်။ သင်သည်တစ်သက်လုံးအခြားအဘယ် ဘုရင်နှင့်မျှမတူအောင် စည်းစိမ်ချမ်းသာ နှင့်ဂုဏ်အသရေကိုငါပေးမည်။-
14 If you will walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days."
၁၄သင်သည်သင်၏ခမည်းတော်ဒါဝိဒ်နည်းတူ ငါ၏ပညတ်တော်များနှင့်အမိန့်တော်တို့ ကိုလိုက်နာလျှင် ငါသည်သင့်အားကြာရှည် သောအသက်ကိုလည်းငါပေးမည်''ဟုမိန့် တော်မူ၏။
15 Solomon awoke; and look, it was a dream. Then he arose and came to Jerusalem, and stood before the ark of the covenant of YHWH, and offered up burnt offerings, offered peace offerings, and made a feast for all his servants.
၁၅ရှောလမုန်သည်အိပ်ရာမှနိုး၍ မိမိသည်ဘုရားသခင်မိန့်တော်မူသောစကားများကိုအိပ်မက် တွင်ကြားသိခဲ့ရကြောင်းကိုသိလေ၏။ ထို့နောက် သူသည်ယေရုရှလင်မြို့သို့သွား၍ ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ပဋိညာဉ်သေတ္တာတော်ရှေ့တွင်ရပ်လျက် မီးရှို့ရာ ပူဇော်သကာများနှင့်မိတ်သဟာယဇ်တို့ကို ထာဝရဘုရားအားပူဇော်ပြီးနောက် မှူးမတ် အပေါင်းတို့အတွက်စားသောက်ပွဲကိုကျင်းပ လေသည်။
16 Then two women who were prostitutes came to the king, and stood before him.
၁၆အခါတစ်ပါး၌ပြည့်တန်ဆာနှစ်ယောက်တို့သည် လာ၍ရှောလမုန်မင်း၏ရှေ့တော်၌ရပ်ကြ၏။-
17 The one woman said, "Oh, my lord, I and this woman dwell in one house. I delivered a child with her in the house.
၁၇တစ်ယောက်က``အရှင်မင်းကြီး၊ ကျွန်မသည်ဤ မိန်းမနှင့်တစ်အိမ်တည်းနေထိုင်ပါသည်။ ယင်း သို့နေထိုင်စဉ်သားကလေးတစ်ယောက်ကို ဖွားမြင်ပါသည်။-
18 It happened the third day after I delivered, that this woman delivered also. We were together. There was no stranger with us in the house, just us two in the house.
၁၈ကျွန်မကလေးမွေးပြီး၍သုံးရက်အကြာ တွင် ဤမိန်းမသည်လည်းသားကလေးတစ် ယောက်ကိုဖွားမြင်ပါ၏။-
19 This woman's child died in the night, because she lay on it.
၁၉အိမ်တွင်ကျွန်မတို့နှစ်ဦးသာလျှင်ရှိပါ၏။ အခြားမည်သူမျှမရှိပါ။ တစ်ညသ၌ဤ မိန်းမသည်မိမိ၏သားငယ်ကိုမတော်တဆ ဖိ၍အိပ်မိသဖြင့်သားငယ်သေဆုံးသွားပါ၏။-
20 She arose at midnight, and took my son from beside me, while your handmaid slept, and laid it in her bosom, and laid her dead child in my bosom.
၂၀သူသည်ညဥ့်ချင်းတွင်ပင်ထ၍ကျွန်မအိပ်ပျော် နေစဉ် နံဘေးရှိကျွန်မ၏သားငယ်ကိုပွေ့၍မိမိ အိပ်ရာသို့ယူသွားပါ၏။ ထို့နောက်သေနေသော ကလေးကိုကျွန်မ၏အိပ်ရာတွင်ထားပါ၏။-
21 When I rose in the morning to nurse my child, look, it was dead; but when I had looked at it in the morning, look, it was not my son, whom I bore."
၂၁နောက်တစ်နေ့နံနက်၌ကျွန်မသည်အိပ်ရာ မှနိုး၍ ကလေးကိုနို့တိုက်မည်ပြုသောအခါ ကလေးသေနေသည်ကိုတွေ့ရပါသည်။ ကလေး ကိုသေချာစွာကြည့်ရာထိုကလေးသည် ကျွန်မ၏ကလေးမဟုတ်ကြောင်းသိရှိရ ပါ၏'' ဟုလျှောက်ထားလေသည်။
22 The other woman said, "No; but the living is my son, and the dead is your son." This said, "No; but the dead is your son, and the living is my son." Thus they spoke before the king.
၂၂သို့ရာတွင်အခြားမိန်းမက``သင်၏စကား မမှန်ပါ။ အသက်ရှင်လျက်နေသည့်ကလေး သည်ငါ၏ကလေးဖြစ်၍ သေနေသောကလေး မှာသင့်ကလေးဖြစ်ပါသည်'' ဟုဆို၏။ ပထမမိန်းမကလည်း``သင့်စကားမမှန်ပါ။ သေနေသောကလေးသည်သင်၏ကလေးဖြစ် ၍အသက်ရှင်လျက်ရှိသည့်ကလေးမှာငါ၏ ကလေးဖြစ်ပါသည်'' ဟုပြန်ပြောလေ၏။ ဤသို့လျှင်သူတို့နှစ်ဦးသည် မင်းကြီး၏ ရှေ့တော်တွင်ငြင်းခုံလျက်နေကြ၏။
23 Then the king said, "The one says, 'This is my son who lives, and your son is the dead;' and the other says, 'No; but your son is the dead one, and my son is the living one.'"
၂၃ထိုအခါမင်းကြီးသည်``သင်တို့နှစ်ဦးစလုံးက အသက်ရှင်လျက်ရှိသည့်ကလေးသည်ငါ၏သား၊ သေနေသောကလေးသည် သင်၏သားဟုပြော ဆိုနေကြ၏'' ဟုမိန့်တော်မူပြီးလျှင်၊
24 The king said, "Get me a sword." They brought a sword before the king.
၂၄ဋ္ဌားတစ်လက်ကိုတောင်းယူတော်မူ၍ ရရှိတော် မူသောအခါ``အသက်ရှင်လျက်ရှိသောကလေး ကိုနှစ်ပိုင်းဖြတ်၍ ဤမိန်းမတို့အားတစ်ပိုင်းစီ ဝေပေးလော့'' ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။
25 The king said, "Divide the living child in two, and give half to the one, and half to the other."
၂၅
26 Then the woman whose the living child was spoke to the king, for her heart yearned over her son, and she said, "Oh, my lord, give her the living child, and in no way kill it." But the other said, "It shall be neither mine nor yours. Divide it."
၂၆မိခင်စစ်သည်မိမိ၏သားကိုချစ်လှသဖြင့် မင်းကြီးအား``အရှင်မင်းကြီး၊ ကလေးကို သတ်တော်မမူပါနှင့်။ ထိုမိန်းမအားပေး တော်မူပါ''ဟုလျှောက်၏။ သို့ရာတွင်အခြားမိန်းမက``ကလေးကိုမည် သူမျှမယူပါစေနှင့်။ နှစ်ပိုင်းဖြတ်တော်မူပါ'' ဟုလျှောက်လေသည်။-
27 Then the king answered, "Give her the living child, and in no way kill it. She is its mother."
၂၇ရှောလမုန်က``ကလေးကိုမသတ်နှင့်တော့။ သူ့ကို ပထမမိန်းမအားပေးလော့။ ထိုမိန်းမသည် ကလေး၏မိခင်စစ်ဖြစ်၏'' ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။
28 All Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king: for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him, to do justice.
၂၈ရှောလမုန်၏စီရင်ဆုံးဖြတ်ချက်ကို ဣသရေလ ပြည်သူပြည်သားတို့ကြားကြသောအခါ ဘုရား သခင်သည်မင်းကြီးအားတရားမျှတစွာစီရင် ဆုံးဖြတ်နိုင်သောဉာဏ်ပညာကိုပေးတော်မူ ကြောင်းသိရှိလျက် မင်းကြီးအားလွန်စွာရိုသေ ကြ၏။
