< 1 Corinthians 13 >
1 If I speak with the tongues of humans and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong, or a clanging cymbal.
Ngakhale nditamayankhula mʼmalilime a anthu ndi a angelo, koma ngati ndilibe chikondi, ndili ngati chinganga chaphokoso kapena ngati chitsulo chosokosera.
2 If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
Ngati ndili ndi mphatso ya uneneri, nʼkumazindikira zinsinsi ndi kudziwa zonse, ndipo ngati ndili ndi chikhulupiriro chosuntha mapiri, koma wopanda chikondi, ine sindili kanthu.
3 If I dole out all my goods to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body so that I may boast, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.
Ngati ndipereka zanga zonse kwa osauka ndi kupereka thupi langa kuti alitenthe, koma ngati ndilibe chikondi, ine sindipindula kanthu.
4 Love is patient and is kind; love does not envy. Love does not brag, is not proud,
Chikondi nʼcholeza mtima, chikondi nʼchokoma mtima, chilibe nsanje, sichidzikuza, sichidzitamandira.
5 does not behave itself inappropriately, does not seek its own way, is not irritable, does not keep a record of wrongs;
Chikondi chilibe mwano, sichodzikonda, sichipsa mtima msanga, sichisunga mangawa.
6 does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;
Chikondi sichikondwera ndi zoyipa koma chimakondwera ndi choonadi.
7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Chimatchinjiriza nthawi zonse, chimakhulupirika nthawi zonse, chimakhala ndi chiyembekezo nthawi zonse, chimapirira nthawi zonse.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will be done away with. Where there are tongues, they will cease. Where there is knowledge, it will be done away with.
Chikondi ndi chosatha. Koma mphatso ya uneneri idzatha, pamene pali kuyankhula malilime adzatha, pamene pali chidziwitso chidzatha.
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part;
Pakuti timadziwa zinthu pangʼono chabe ndipo timanenera pangʼono chabe.
10 but when that which is complete has come, that which is partial will be done away with.
Koma changwiro chikadzaoneka ndipo chopereweracho chidzatha.
11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I felt as a child, I thought as a child. Now that I have become an adult, I have put away childish things.
Pamene ndinali mwana ndinkayankhula ngati mwana, ndinkaganiza ngati mwana, ndinkalingalira ngati mwana. Koma nditakula, zonse zachibwana ndinazisiya.
12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, even as I was also fully known.
Pakuti tsopano tiona zinthu mosaoneka bwino ngati mʼgalasi loonera; kenaka tidzaziona maso ndi maso. Tsopano ndidziwa mosakwanira koma kenaka ndidzadziwa mokwanira, monga mmene Mulungu akundidziwira ine.
13 But now faith, hope, and love remain—these three. The greatest of these is love.
Ndipo tsopano zatsala zinthu zitatu: chikhulupiriro, chiyembekezo ndi chikondi. Koma chachikulu pa zonsezi ndi chikondi.
