1 Corinthians 1
1 Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,

2 to the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, both theirs and ours:

Mwenga mtendwa wananagala toziya mulikolerana pamuhera na Yesu Kristu, mshemitwi muweri wantu wa Mlungu, pamuhera na wantu woseri kila pahala pawamguwira Mtuwa gwetu Yesu Kristu, yakawera Mtuwa gwawu na gwetu viraa.
3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Manemu na ponga ya Mlungu Tati gwetu na ga Mtuwa gwetu Yesu Kristu, gaweri pamuhera na mwenga.
4 I always thank my God concerning you, for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus;
Mashaka goseri numgambira Mlungu mayagashii kwajili ya mwenga, toziya ya manemu gakawapananiti mwenga kupitira Yesu Kristu.
5 that in everything you were enriched in him, in all speech and all knowledge;
Toziya kwa kulikolerana pamuhera na Kristu muwera walunda mukila shintu. Mpananwa kutakula na kumana.
6 even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:
Ujumbi kuusu Kristu wanakaka mngati mwenu.
7 so that you are not lacking in any gift, as you wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed;
Hangu mpungukiwitwi ndiri lifupu lyoseri lyampananitwi na Rohu Mnanagala, pamuwera mwankuhepera kugubutulwa kwakuwi Mtuwa gwetu Yesu Kristu.
8 who will also strengthen you to the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Nayomberi hakawagangamaziyi mwenga mpaka upeleru, mpati kuwoneka pota na ukondola mulishaka lilii lya Mtuwa gwetu Yesu Kristu.
9 God is faithful, through whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Mlungu yakawera mwaminika, kawashemiti mwenga muweri pamuhera na Mwana gwakuwi Yesu Kristu, Mtuwa gwetu.
10 Now I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you be in agreement, so that there may be no divisions among you, and to be united by the same mind and conviction.
Wantu yawamjimira Yesu wayangu, nuwaluweni kwa litawu lya Mtuwa gwetu Yesu Kristu, mulijimilirani mukila shintu shamtakula, su nakuwera malekaniru pakati pa mwenga. Mulikolerani nakamu pamuwera na liholu limu na nfiru yimu.
11 For it has been reported to me concerning you, my brothers, by those who are from Chloe's household, that there are contentions among you.
Wantu yawamjimira Yesu wayangu, wantu wamonga kulawa kwa kaya ya Kloyi, wang'ambira kuwera mwenga mwankulirewa.
12 Now I mean this, that each one of you says, "I follow Paul," "I follow Apollos," "I follow Cephas," and, "I follow Christ."
Neni nfira kutakula shampikiniriti kulawa pakati pa mwenga, yumu kalonga, “Neni gwa Paulu”, Yumonga kalonga “Neni gwa Apolu”, Na yumonga kalonga, “Neni gwa Peteru.” Kwa litawu lya Shigiriki wamshema Kefa, na yumonga kalonga, “Neni gwa Kristu.”
13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized into the name of Paul?
Hashi, Kristu kabagulika? Hashi, Paulu ndo yawampingikiti kwajili ya Mwenga? Ama hashi, mbatizitwi gambira ntumintumi gwa Paulu?
14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, except Crispus and Gaius,
Mayagashii Mlungu toziya numubatiziti ndiri muntu yoseri pakati penu, kumbiti hera Krispu na Gayu.
15 so that no one should say that you had been baptized into my own name.
Su kwahera muntu yakaweza kutakula kuwera mwenga wakubatizeni kwa litawu lyaneni.
16 (Now I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I do not know whether I baptized any other.)
Nulihola, vilaa numubatiziti Stefana na kaya yakuwi, kumbiti mani panumbatiziti muntu gwingi.
17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the Good News—not in wisdom of words, so that the cross of the Christ would not be made void.
Kristu kantumiti ndiri kubatiza, kumbiti nuwabweleri wantu Shisoweru Shiwagira, kayi nushibweri pota na kutendera luhala lwa mbweru za wantu, su makakala ga kuhowa kwa Kristu palupingika nagawoneki kuweri shintu ndiri.
18 For the message about the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
Toziya ujumbi wa kuhowa kwa Kristu palupingika kuwera uzigizigi kwa wantu yawagamira, kumbiti kwa twenga yatulopoziwa, ujumbi awu ndo makakala ga Mlungu.
19 For it is written, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the discernment of the discerning I will nullify."
Malembu Mananagala galonga, “Aharibisiyi luhala lwa yawawera na luhala, Na mahala ga wantu hanyasili kutali.”
20 Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Hasn't God made foolish the wisdom of the world? (aiōn g165)
Su kakoshi yakawera na luhala? Hashi, kakoshi mfunda gwa malagaliru? Hashi, kakoshi shikambaku gwa kutakuziyana gwa pasipanu? Mlungu kulanguziyiti kuwera luhala lwa pasipanu lyahera mahala. (aiōn g165)
21 For seeing that in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom did not know God, it was God's good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save those who believe.
Toziya kwa luhala lwa Mlungu, wantu hapeni wammani Mlungu kwa njira ya luhala lwawu weni. Mlungu kafiriziwiti kuwalopoziya wantu yawajimira kupitira shizyigizyigi shatuwabwerera.
22 For Jews ask for signs, and Greeks seek after wisdom,
Wayawudi wafira lilangaliru handa shilangaliru, Wagiriki wankusakula luhala.
23 but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to the non-Jews,
Kumbiti twenga twankumbwera Kristu yawampingikiti. Kwa Wayawudi shitwatira ashi shiwera shileweleru na kwa wantu yawawera ndiri Wayawudi shiwera shizyigizyigi,
24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.
kumbiti kwa walii yawashemitwi na Mlungu, Wayawudi pamuhera na wantu yawawera ndiri Wayawudi, Kristu ndo likakala lya Mlungu na luhala lwa Mlungu.
25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than man's, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's.
Toziya shashiwoneka kuwera uzigizigi wa Mlungu, shiwera na luhala kuliku luhala lwa muntu, na shilii shashiwoneka shahera makakala ga Mlungu, shiwera na likakala kuliku likakala lya muntu.
26 For consider your calling, brothers, that not many were wise from a human perspective, not many mighty, not many of noble birth.
Wantu yawamjimira Yesu wayangu, vinu muliholi Mlungu pakawashema, wavuwa wenu waweriti ndiri na luhala lwa munshimba na wantu wavuwa ndiri yawawera na makakala na wantu wavua ndiri yawawera na ukulu.
27 But God chose the foolish of the world to shame the wise. And God chose the weak of the world to shame the strong.
Kumbiti Mlungu kavisyaguliti vitwatira vyaviwoneka pasipanu kuwera vizigizigi, su kawasoniziyi wantu yawawera na luhala na Mlungu kavisyaguliti vitwatira vilii pasipanu viwoneka legilegi, su kawasoniziyi wantu yayawera na makakala.
28 And God chose the lowly of the world, and the despised, what is considered to be nothing, to bring to nothing what is considered to be something,
Mlungu kavisyagula vitwatira vilii pasipanu viwoneka vyavifaa ndiri na vyawavizarawu, su kavihalabisiyi vilii vyaviwoneka na wantu kuwera shintu shikulu.
29 that no flesh might boast before God.
Su kwahera muntu yoseri yakaweza kulitumbira shoseri kulongolu kwa Mlungu.
30 And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption,
Kumbiti Mlungu ndo yakawakolelerani pamuhera na Yesu Kristu. Mlungu kamtenditi Kristu kaweri luhala lwetu, kwa njira yakuwi twenga tutendwa waheri kulongolu kwa Mlungu, tuweri wantu wananagala wa Mlungu na kulopoziwa.
31 so that, as it is written, "Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord."
Su Malembu Mananagala ntambu yagalonga, “Yakafira kulitumbira, kalitumbiri Mtuwa ntambu yakatenda.”
