1 Chronicles 18
1 After this it happened, that David struck the Philistines, and subdued them, and took Gath and its towns out of the hand of the Philistines.
௧இதற்குப்பின்பு, தாவீது பெலிஸ்தர்களைத் தாக்கி, அவர்களைத் தோற்கடித்து, காத் பட்டணத்தையும் அதின் கிராமங்களையும் பெலிஸ்தர்களின் கையிலிருந்து பிடித்துக்கொண்டான்.
2 He struck Moab; and the Moabites became servants to David, and brought tribute.
௨அவன் மோவாபியர்களையும் தோற்கடித்ததால், மோவாபியர்கள் தாவீதிற்கு பணிவிடை செய்து அவனுக்குக் காணிக்கைகளைச் செலுத்தினார்கள்.
3 David struck Hadadezer king of Zobah to Hamath, as he went to establish his dominion by the river Perath.
௩சோபாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆதாரேசர் ஐப்பிராத் நதி அருகில் தன்னுடைய இராணுவத்தை நிறுத்தப்போகிறபோது, தாவீது அவனையும் ஆமாத்தின் அருகில் தோற்கடித்தான்.
4 David took from him one thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen; and David hamstrung all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for one hundred chariots.
௪அவனுக்கு இருந்த ஆயிரம் இரதங்களையும் ஏழாயிரம் குதிரை வீரர்களையும் இருபதாயிரம் காலாட்களையும் பிடித்து, இரதங்களில் நூறு இரதங்களை வைத்துக்கொண்டு, மற்றவைகளையெல்லாம் துண்டித்துப்போட்டான்.
5 When the Arameans of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, David struck of the Arameans twenty-two thousand men.
௫சோபாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆதாரேசருக்கு உதவிசெய்ய தமஸ்கு பட்டணத்தார்களாகிய சீரியர்கள் வந்தார்கள்; தாவீது சீரியர்களில் இருபத்திரெண்டாயிரம்பேரை வெட்டிப்போட்டு,
6 Then David put garrisons in Aram of Damascus; and the Arameans became servants to David, and brought tribute. YHWH gave victory to David wherever he went.
௬தமஸ்குவுக்கடுத்த சீரியாவிலே படைகளை வைத்தான்; சீரியர்கள் தாவீதுக்கு பணிவிடைசெய்து அவனுக்குக் காணிக்கைகளைச் செலுத்தினார்கள்; தாவீது போன இடத்திலெல்லாம் யெகோவா அவனைக் காப்பாற்றினார்.
7 And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.
௭ஆதாரேசரின் வேலைக்காரர்களுக்கு இருந்த பொன்கேடகங்களை தாவீது எடுத்து, அவைகளை எருசலேமிற்குக் கொண்டுவந்தான்.
8 From Tibhath and from Cun, cities of Hadadezer, David took very much bronze, with which Solomon made the bronze sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of bronze.
௮ஆதாரேசரின் பட்டணங்களாகிய திப்காத்திலும் கூனிலுமிருந்து தாவீது வெகு திரளான வெண்கலத்தையும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு வந்தான்; அதினாலே சாலொமோன் வெண்கலத் தொட்டியையும் தூண்களையும் வெண்கலப் பொருட்களையும் உண்டாக்கினான்.
9 When Tou king of Hamath heard that David had struck all the army of Hadadezer king of Zobah,
௯தாவீது சோபாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆதாரேசரின் இராணுவத்தையெல்லாம் தோற்கடித்த செய்தியை ஆமாத்தின் ராஜாவாகிய தோயூ கேட்டபோது,
10 he sent Hadoram his son to king David, to Greet him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and struck him; (for Hadadezer had wars with Tou; ) and he had with him all kinds of vessels of gold and silver and bronze.
௧0அவன் தாவீது ராஜாவின் சுகசெய்தியை விசாரிக்கவும், அவன் ஆதாரேசரோடு யுத்தம்செய்து, அவனைத் தோற்கடித்ததற்காக அவனுக்கு வாழ்த்துதல் சொல்லவும், தன்னுடைய மகனாகிய அதோராமையும், பொன்னும் வெள்ளியும் வெண்கலமுமான எல்லாவித பொருட்களையும், அவனிடத்திற்கு அனுப்பினான்; ஆதாரேசர் தோயூவின்மேல் யுத்தம் செய்கிறவனாக இருந்தான்.
11 The King also dedicated these to YHWH, with the silver and the gold that he took from all the nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from the people of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.
௧௧அந்த பொருட்களையும், தான் ஏதோமியர்கள், மோவாபியர்கள், அம்மோனிய மக்கள், பெலிஸ்தர்கள், அமலேக்கியர்கள் என்னும் எல்லா தேசங்களின் கையிலும் வாங்கின வெள்ளியையும், பொன்னையுங்கூட தாவீது ராஜா யெகோவாவுக்குப் பரிசுத்தம் என்று நேர்ந்துகொண்டான்.
12 Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah struck of the Edomites in the Valley of Salt eighteen thousand.
௧௨செருயாவின் மகன் அபிசாயி உப்புப்பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே பதினெட்டாயிரம் ஏதோமியர்களைத் தோற்கடித்தான்.
13 He put garrisons in Edom; and all the Edomites became servants to David. YHWH gave victory to David wherever he went.
௧௩ஆகையால் தாவீது ஏதோமிலே படைகளை வைத்தான்; ஏதோமியர்கள் எல்லோரும் அவனுக்குப் பணிவிடை செய்கிறவர்களானார்கள்; தாவீது போன இடங்களிலெல்லாம் யெகோவா அவனைக் காப்பாற்றினார்.
14 David reigned over all Israel; and he executed justice and righteousness to all his people.
௧௪தாவீது இஸ்ரவேலையெல்லாம் ஆண்டு, தன்னுடைய மக்களுக்கெல்லாம் நியாயமும் நீதியும் செய்தான்.
15 Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the army; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder;
௧௫செருயாவின் மகன் யோவாப் இராணுவத்தலைவனாக இருந்தான்; அகிலூதின் மகனாகிய யோசபாத் மந்திரியாக இருந்தான்.
16 and Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, were priests; and Shisha was scribe;
௧௬அகிதூபின் மகன் சாதோக்கும், அபியத்தாரின் மகன் அபிமெலேக்கும் ஆசாரியர்களாக இருந்தார்கள்; சவிஷா எழுத்தாளனாக இருந்தான்.
17 and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were chief about the king.
௧௭யோய்தாவின் மகன் பெனாயா கிரேத்தியர்களுக்கும் பிலேத்தியர்களுக்கும் தலைவனாக இருந்தான்; தாவீதின் மகன்கள் ராஜாவிடம் முன்னணி ஆலோசகர்களாக இருந்தார்கள்.
