< Romans 12 >
1 Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. (aiōn )
Msiige mitindo ya ulimwengu huu, bali Mungu afanye mabadiliko ndani yenu kwa kuzigeuza fikira zenu. Hapo ndipo mtakapoweza kuyajua mapenzi ya Mungu, kutambua jambo lililo jema, linalompendeza na kamilifu. (aiōn )
3 For I say, through the grace that was given me, to everyone among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, as God has apportioned to each person a measure of faith.
4 For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members do not have the same function,
5 so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.
6 And we have different gifts according to the grace that was given to us. If prophecy, according to the proportion of the faith;
7 if service, in the service; if teaching, in the teaching;
8 if exhorting, in exhortation; giving, in generosity; leading, in diligence; showing mercy, in cheerfulness.
9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good.
Mapendo yenu na yawe bila unafiki wowote. Chukieni jambo lolote ovu, zingatieni jema.
10 In love of the brothers be tenderly affectionate one to another; outdo one another in showing honor;
Pendaneni kidugu; kila mmoja amfikirie mwenzake kwanza kwa heshima.
11 not lagging in diligence; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
Msilegee katika bidii, muwe wachangamfu rohoni katika kumtumikia Bwana.
12 rejoicing in hope; enduring in troubles; continuing steadfastly in prayer;
13 contributing to the needs of the saints; given to hospitality.
14 Bless those who persecute you; bless, and do not curse.
Watakieni baraka wote wanaowadhulumu ninyi; naam, watakieni baraka na wala msiwalaani.
15 Rejoice with those who rejoice. Weep with those who weep.
Furahini pamoja na wanaofurahi, lieni pamoja na wanaolia.
16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be arrogant, but associate with the humble. Do not be conceited.
Muwe na wema uleule kwa kila mtu. Msijitakie makuu, bali jishugulisheni na watu wadogo. Msijione kuwa wenye hekima sana.
17 Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all people.
Msilipe ovu kwa ovu. Zingatieni mambo mema mbele ya wote.
18 If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all people.
19 Do not seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but leave room for the wrath. For it is written, "Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord."
Wapenzi wangu, msilipize kisasi, bali mwachieni Mungu jambo hilo; maana Maandiko Matakatifu yasema: “Kulipiza kisasi ni shauri langu; mimi nitalipiza asema Bwana.”
20 Therefore "If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for by doing this you will heap coals of fire on his head."
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
