Romans 12
1 Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
Os ruego, hermanos, por las misericordias de Dios, que presentéis vuestros cuerpos como hostia viva, santa, agradable a Dios ( en un ) culto espiritual vuestro.
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. (aiōn g165)
Y no os acomodéis a este siglo, antes transformaos, por la renovación de vuestra mente, para que experimentéis cuál sea la voluntad de Dios, que es buena y agradable y perfecta. (aiōn g165)
3 For I say, through the grace that was given me, to everyone among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, as God has apportioned to each person a measure of faith.
Porque, en virtud de la gracia que me fue dada, digo a cada uno de entre vosotros, que no sienta de sí más altamente de lo que debe sentir, sino que rectamente sienta según la medida de la fe que Dios a cada cual ha dado.
4 For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members do not have the same function,
Pues así como tenemos muchos miembros en un solo cuerpo, y no todos los miembros tienen la misma función,
5 so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.
del mismo modo los que somos muchos, formamos un solo cuerpo en Cristo, pero en cuanto a cada uno somos recíprocamente miembros.
6 And we have different gifts according to the grace that was given to us. If prophecy, according to the proportion of the faith;
Y tenemos dones diferentes conforme a la gracia que nos fue dada, ya de profecía ( para hablar ) según la regla de la fe;
7 if service, in the service; if teaching, in the teaching;
ya de ministerio, para servir; ya de enseñar, para la enseñanza;
8 if exhorting, in exhortation; giving, in generosity; leading, in diligence; showing mercy, in cheerfulness.
ya de exhortar, para la exhortación. El que da, ( hágalo ) con liberalidad; el que preside, con solicitud; el que usa de misericordia, con alegría.
9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good.
El amor sea sin hipocresía. Aborreced lo que es malo, apegaos a lo que es bueno.
10 In love of the brothers be tenderly affectionate one to another; outdo one another in showing honor;
En el amor a los hermanos sed afectuosos unos con otros; en cuanto al honor, daos preferencia mutuamente.
11 not lagging in diligence; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
En la solicitud, no seáis perezosos; en el espíritu sed fervientes; para el Señor sed servidores;
12 rejoicing in hope; enduring in troubles; continuing steadfastly in prayer;
alegres en la esperanza, pacientes en la tribulación, perseverantes en la oración;
13 contributing to the needs of the saints; given to hospitality.
partícipes en las necesidades de los santos; solícitos en la hospitalidad.
14 Bless those who persecute you; bless, and do not curse.
Bendecid a los que os persiguen; bendecid, y no maldigáis.
15 Rejoice with those who rejoice. Weep with those who weep.
Gozaos con los que se gozan; llorad con los que lloran.
16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be arrogant, but associate with the humble. Do not be conceited.
Tened el mismo sentir, unos con otros. No fomentéis pensamientos altivos, sino acomodaos a lo humilde. No seáis sabios a vuestros ojos.
17 Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all people.
No devolváis a nadie mal por mal; procurad hacer lo bueno ante todos los hombres.
18 If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all people.
Si es posible, en cuanto de vosotros depende, vivid en paz con todos los hombres.
19 Do not seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but leave room for the wrath. For it is written, "Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord."
No os venguéis por vuestra cuenta, amados míos, sino dad lugar a la ira ( de Dios ), puesto que escrito está: “Mía es la venganza; Yo haré justicia, dice el Señor”.
20 Therefore "If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for by doing this you will heap coals of fire on his head."
Antes por el contrario, “si tu enemigo tiene hambre, dale de comer; si tiene sed, dale de beber; pues esto haciendo amontonarás ascuas de fuego sobre su cabeza”.
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
No te dejes vencer por el mal, sino domina al mal con el bien.
