< Romans 10 >

1 Brothers, my heart's desire and my prayer to God is for them, that they may be saved.
Ta ishato, ta kumetha wozanan ta amotteynne Xoossaa woossey Isra7eeley attana melassa.
2 For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.
Entti Xoossaas mishettosonashin, tuma eratethan mishettonnayssa ta markkattays.
3 For being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.
Entti Xoossaa xillotethaa ogiya eronna ixxidi, bantta huu7e xillotethaa kaallidosonappe attin Xoossaa xillotethaa koyibookkona.
4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
Asi ubbay ammanon xillana mela Kiristtoosi higgiya polis.
5 For Moses writes about the righteousness of the law, "The one who does them will live by them."
Asi higge naagidi ekkiya xillotethabaa Musey xaafishe, “Higge naagiya oonikka he higgiya naagida mela de7ees” yaagis.
6 But the righteousness which is of faith says this, "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will go up into heaven?' (that is, to bring Christ down);
Shin ammanon ekkiya xillotethabaa geetettiday hayssa: “Ne wozanan, ‘Ooni salo keyanee?’ yaagoppa; hessi Kiristtoosa wodhisanaassa.
7 or, 'Who will go down into the deep?' (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead.)" (Abyssos g12)
Woykko, ‘Duge sa7a garssi wodhdhanay oonee?’ gooppa; hessi Kiristtoosa duufoppe kessanaassa. (Abyssos g12)
8 But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart;" that is, the message of faith that we proclaim;
Shin yaagidi xaafettis: ‘Xoossaa qaalay ne matana; ne doonaninne ne wozanan de7ees’ Nuuni hinttew odiya ammano qaalay hayssa.
9 because, if you acknowledge with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
“Yesuusi Goda” gada ne doonan markkatikonne Xoossay iya hayqoppe denthidayssa ne wozanan ammanikko, ne attana.
10 For with the heart one believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth acknowledgment is made, resulting in salvation.
Asi ba wozanan ammanidi xillees; ba doonan markkattidi attees.
11 For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes in him will not be put to shame."
Geeshsha Maxaafay, “Iyan ammaniyaa oonikka yeellatenna” yaagees.
12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord of all is rich to all who call on him.
Issi Xoossay ubbaa Goda gidiya gisho, Ayhudeta giddoninne Ayhude gidonna asaa giddon dummatethi baawa. I bana xeegiya ubbaas daro keeha.
13 For, "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved."
Geeshsha Maxaafay, “Godaa sunthaa xeegiya oonikka attana” yaagees.
14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without someone preaching?
Yaatin, entti ammanonna de7ishe waanidi iya xeegana dandda7onna? Entti iyabaa si7onna de7ishe waattidi iya ammananaw dandda7onna? Qassi enttaw qaala odiya asi baynna de7ishin, waanidi si7anaw dandda7onnaa?
15 And how will they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of peace, who bring good news of good things."
Kiitettida asi baynna de7ishin, qaalay waanidi odettanaw dandda7ii? Geeshsha Maxaafan, “Ufayssa Wonggelaa odiya asaa tohoti waanidi lo77onaa!” yaagidi xaafettis.
16 But they did not all listen to the Good News. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our report?"
Shin Isayaasi, “Godaw, nu markkatethaa ooni ammanidee?” yaagidayssada, ubbay Wonggelaa ammanibookkona.
17 So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
Hessa gisho, ammanoy sissafe yees; sissi Kiristtoosa qaalappe yees.
18 But I ask, isn't it rather that they did not hear? On the contrary, "Their voice has gone out to all the earth, their words to the farthest parts of the world."
Gidoshin, Isra7eele asay qaala si7ibookkona guusseyye? Akkay si7idosona. Geeshsha Maxaafan, “Entta qaalay biitta ubban si7ettis, entta oday sa7aa gaxa gakkis” yaagettis.
19 But I ask, did not Israel know? First Moses says, "I will provoke you to jealousy with that which is not a people. I will make you angry with a foolish nation."
Shin Isra7eele asay eribookkona guusseyye? Musey kase, “Taani hinttena leqettida asan qiiroysana; qassi eeya asan hinttena yiloyana” yaagis.
20 Isaiah is very bold, and says, "I was found by those who did not seek me. I was revealed to those who did not ask for me."
Qassi Isayaasi, “Tana koyiboonna asaas benttas; tana oychchiboonna asaas qonccas” yaagidi yayyonna odis.
21 But as to Israel he says, "All day long I have stretched out my hands to a disobedient and obstinate people."
Shin Isayaasi Isra7eeletabaa odishe, “Ubbaa gallas kiitettonna asaasinne tana ixxiya asaas ta kushiya miccas” yaagees.
