Revelation 10

1 I saw another mighty angel coming down out of the sky, clothed with a cloud. A rainbow was on his head. His face was like the sun, and his legs like pillars of fire.

Gökten inen başka bir güçlü melek gördüm. Bir buluta sarınmıştı. Başının üzerinde gökkuşağı vardı. Yüzü güneşe benziyordu, ayakları da ateşten direkler gibiydi.

2 He had in his hand a little open scroll. He set his right foot on the sea, and his left on the land.

Elinde açılmış küçük bir tomar tutuyordu. Sağ ayağını denize, sol ayağını karaya bastı.

3 He shouted with a loud voice, as a lion roars. When he shouted, the seven thunders uttered their voices.

Aslan kükremesi gibi gür bir sesle bağırdı. Melek bağırınca, yedi gök gürlemesi de seslerini çıkardı.

4 When the seven thunders sounded, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from the sky saying, "Seal up the things which the seven thunders said, and do not write them."

Yedi gök gürlemesi seslerini çıkardığında tam yazmaya hazırlanıyordum ki, gökten gelen bir ses işittim. Ses şöyle dedi: “Yedi gök gürlemesinin söylediklerini yazma, mühürle!”

5 The angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land lifted up his right hand to the sky,

Daha önce gördüğüm, denizin ve karanın üzerinde duran melek sağ elini göğe doğru kaldırdı.

6 and swore by him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there will no longer be delay, (aiōn g165)

Göğü ve gökteki her şeyi, yeri ve yerdeki her şeyi, denizi ve denizdeki her şeyi yaratan, sonsuzlara kadar diri olan Allahʼın adıyla yemin etti. “Artık gecikme olmayacak” dedi. (aiōn g165)

7 but in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, then the mystery of God is finished, as he declared to his servants, the prophets.

“Yedinci melek borazanını çaldığı zaman Allahʼın sır olan planı tamamlanacak. Bu planı kendi hizmetkârları olan peygamberlere önceden müjdelemişti.”

8 The voice which I heard from heaven, again speaking with me, said, "Go, take the scroll which is open in the hand of the angel who stands on the sea and on the land."

Ardından, gökten duyduğum ses yine benimle konuştu. “Git” dedi. “Denizin ve karanın üzerinde duran meleğin elindeki açık tomarı al!”

9 I went to the angel, telling him to give me the little scroll. He said to me, "Take it, and eat it up. It will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey."

Bunun üzerine meleğe gidip “Bana o küçük tomarı ver” dedim. O da bana, “Al, bunu ye!” dedi. “Midende acılık yapacak, ama ağzına bal gibi tatlı gelecek.”

10 I took the little scroll out of the angel's hand, and ate it up. It was as sweet as honey in my mouth. When I had eaten it, my stomach was made bitter.

Meleğin elinden küçük tomarı alıp yedim. Ağzıma bal gibi tatlı geldi. Ama onu yuttuğumda midem acılaştı.

11 They told me, "You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages, and kings."

Bana şöyle dediler: “Yine birçok halk, millet, dil ve kral hakkında peygamberlik etmen lazım.”
