Psalms 43

1 Vindicate me, God, and plead my cause against a faithless nation. Oh, deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.

Rends-moi justice, ô Dieu, défends ma cause contre une nation infidèle; délivre-moi de l'homme de fraude et d'iniquité!

2 For you, God, are my strength. Why have you rejected me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

Car tu es le Dieu de ma défense: pourquoi me repousses-tu? Pourquoi me faut-il marcher dans la tristesse, sous l'oppression de l'ennemi?

3 Oh, send out your light and your truth. Let them lead me. Let them bring me to your holy mountain, To your tents.

Envoie ta lumière et ta fidélité; qu'elles me guident, qu'elles me conduisent à ta montagne sainte et à tes tabernacles!

4 Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my exceeding joy. I will praise you on the harp, God, my God.

J'irai à l'autel de Dieu, au Dieu qui est ma joie et mon allégresse, et je te célébrerai sur la harpe, ô Dieu, mon Dieu! —

5 Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God. For I will again give him thanks, my saving presence and my God.

Pourquoi es-tu abattue, ô mon âme, et t'agites-tu en moi? Espère en Dieu, car je le louerai encore, lui, le salut de ma face et mon Dieu!
