< Psalms 15 >
1 [A Psalm by David.] LORD, who shall dwell in your sanctuary? Who shall live on your holy mountain?
Drottinn, hver fær að leita skjóls og hælis í tjaldi þínu á fjallinu þínu helga?
2 He who walks blamelessly and does what is right, and speaks truth in his heart.
Sá sem er hógvær og lifir réttlátu lífi.
3 He doesn't slander with his tongue, nor does evil to his friend, nor lifts up an insult against his neighbor.
Sá sem ekki baktalar náungann, leggur sig ekki eftir slúðri né gerir meðbróður sínum mein.
4 In his eyes a vile man is despised, but he honors those who fear the LORD. He keeps an oath even when it hurts, and doesn't change it.
Sá sem andmælir illverkum og fyrirlítur þau. Sá sem heiðrar þá er fylgja Drottni í trúfesti og stendur við orð sín hvað sem það kostar.
5 He doesn't lend out his money for interest, nor take a bribe against the innocent. The one who does these things will never be upended.
