Psalms 131

1 [A Song of Ascents. By David.] LORD, my heart isn't haughty, nor my eyes lofty; nor do I concern myself with great matters, or things too wonderful for me.

Cantique de Maaloth, de David. Éternel, mon cœur ne s'est point enflé; mes yeux ne se sont point élevés; et je n'ai point recherché des choses trop grandes et trop élevées pour moi.

2 Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me.

N'ai-je pas soumis et fait taire mon âme, comme un enfant sevré fait envers sa mère? Mon âme est en moi comme un enfant sevré.

3 Israel, hope in the LORD, from this time forth and forevermore.

Israël, attends-toi à l'Éternel, dès maintenant et à toujours!
