< Psalms 13 >
1 [For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David.] How long, LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?
Aka mawt ham David kah Tingtoenglung Aw BOEIPA, mevaeng hil nim kai nan hnilh yoeyah ve? Mevaeng hil nim na maelhmai te kai taeng lamkah na thuh ve?
2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart every day? How long shall my enemy triumph over me?
Mevaeng hil nim ka thinko kah hnin takuem kothae la ka hinglu he cilsuep ka dul hawl ve? Mevaeng hil nim kai sokah ka thunkha loh caemthang a rhuk ve?
3 Look, and answer me, LORD, my God. Give light to my eyes, lest I sleep in death;
Aw ka BOEIPA Pathen paelki lamtah kai he n'doo dae. Ka mik mah han tueng sak dueknah khuila ka ip ve.
4 Lest my enemy say, "I have prevailed against him," and my adversaries rejoice when I fall.
Ka thunkha loh, “Anih ka na coeng,” a ti vetih ka bung vaengah ka rhal rhoek te omngaih uh ve.
5 But I trust in your loving kindness. My heart rejoices in your salvation.
Tedae kai tah nang kah sitlohnah dongah ka pangtung tih namah kah khangnah dongah ka lungbuei omngaih.
6 I will sing to the LORD, because he has dealt bountifully with me, and I will sing to the name of the LORD Most High.
