< Psalms 120 >

1 [A Song of Ascents.] In my distress, I cried to the LORD. He answered me.
Tangtlaeng Laa Kamah kah citcai khuiah BOEIPA te ka khue tih kai n'doo.
2 Deliver my soul, LORD, from lying lips, from a deceitful tongue.
BOEIPA aw ka hinglu he laithae hmuilai lamkah neh palyal ol lamloh huul lah.
3 What will be given to you, and what will be done more to you, you deceitful tongue?
Palyal ol te nang taengah bahamnim m'paek vetih bahamnim nang taengah hang koei eh?
4 Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.
Hlangrhalh kah thaltang khaw hlingcet alh bangla sum yipkip.
5 Woe is me, that I live in Meshech, that I dwell among the tents of Kedar.
Meshek ah ka bakuep tih Kedar dap ah kho ka sak dongah kai ngawn tah ka tuisawih coeng!
6 My soul has had her dwelling too long with him who hates peace.
Rhoepnah aka hmuhuet taengah ka hinglu loh kho puet a sak coeng.
7 I am for peace, but when I speak, they are for war.
Kai loh rhoepnah ka thui vaengah amih te caemtloek la thoouh.
