Nehemiah 12
1 Now these are the priests and the Levites who went up with Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua: Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra,
Ούτοι δε ήσαν οι ιερείς και οι Λευΐται, οι αναβάντες μετά του Ζοροβάβελ υιού του Σαλαθιήλ, και του Ιησού· Σεραΐας, Ιερεμίας, Έσδρας,
2 Amariah, Malluch, Hattush,
Αμαρίας, Μαλλούχ, Χαττούς,
3 Shecaniah, Rehum, Meremoth,
Σεχανίας, Ρεούμ, Μερημώθ,
4 Iddo, Ginnethon, Abijah,
Ιδδώ, Γιννεθώ, Αβιά,
5 Mijamin, Maadiah, Bilgah,
Μιαμείν, Μααδίας, Βιλγά,
6 Shemaiah, and Joiarib, Jedaiah.
Σεμαΐας και Ιωϊαρίβ, Ιεδαΐας,
7 Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah, Jedaiah. These were the chiefs of the priests and of their brothers in the days of Jeshua.
Σαλλού, Αμώκ, Χελχίας, Ιεδαΐας. Ούτοι ήσαν οι αρχηγοί των ιερέων και των αδελφών αυτών εν ταις ημέραις Ιησού.
8 Moreover the Levites: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and Mattaniah, who was over the thanksgiving, he and his brothers.
Οι δε Λευΐται, Ιησούς, Βιννουΐ, Καδμιήλ, Σερεβίας, Ιούδας και Ματθανίας, ο επί των ύμνων, αυτός και οι αδελφοί αυτού.
9 Also Bakbukiah and Unni, their brothers, were over against them according to their offices.
Ο δε Βακβουκίας και ο Ουννί, οι αδελφοί αυτών, ήσαν απέναντι αυτών διά τας φυλακάς.
10 Jeshua became the father of Joiakim, and Joiakim became the father of Eliashib, and Eliashib became the father of Joiada,
Και ο Ιησούς εγέννησε τον Ιωακείμ, Ιωακείμ δε εγέννησε τον Ελιασείβ, Ελιασείβ δε εγέννησε τον Ιωαδά,
11 and Joiada became the father of Jonathan, and Jonathan became the father of Jaddua.
Ιωαδά δε εγέννησε τον Ιωνάθαν· Ιωνάθαν δε εγέννησε τον Ιαδδουά.
12 In the days of Joiakim were priests, heads of ancestral houses: of Seraiah, Meraiah; of Jeremiah, Hananiah;
Και εν ταις ημέραις του Ιωακείμ, ιερείς, άρχοντες πατριών, ήσαν του Σεραΐα, ο Μεραΐας· του Ιερεμία, ο Ανανίας·
13 of Ezra, Meshullam; of Amariah, Jehohanan;
του Έσδρα, ο Μεσουλλάμ· του Αμαρία, ο Ιωανάν·
14 of Malluch, Jonathan; of Shecaniah, Joseph;
του Μελιχού, ο Ιωνάθαν· του Σεβανία, ο Ιωσήφ·
15 of Harim, Adna; of Meremoth, Helkai;
του Χαρήμ, ο Αδνά· του Μεραϊώθ, ο Ελκαΐ·
16 of Iddo, Zechariah; of Ginnethon, Meshullam;
του Ιδδώ, ο Ζαχαρίας· του Γιννεθών, ο Μεσουλλάμ·
17 of Abijah, Zikri; of Minjamin, of Moadiah, Piltai;
του Αβιά, ο Ζιχρί· του Μινιαμείν, και του Μωαδία, ο Φιλταΐ·
18 of Bilgah, Shammua; of Shemaiah, Jehonathan;
του Βιλγά, ο Σαμμουά· του Σεμαΐα, ο Ιωνάθαν·
19 and of Joiarib, Mattenai; of Jedaiah, Uzzi;
και του Ιωϊαρίβ, ο Ματθεναΐ· του Ιεδαΐα, ο Οζί·
20 of Sallu, Kallai; of Amok, Eber;
του Σαλλαΐ, ο Καλλαΐ· του Αμώκ, ο Εβερ·
21 of Hilkiah, Hashabiah; of Jedaiah, Nethanel.
του Χελκία, ο Ασαβίας· του Ιεδαΐα, ο Ναθαναήλ.
22 As for the Levites, in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, and Johanan, and Jaddua, there were recorded the heads of ancestral houses; also the priests, in the reign of Daryavesh the Persian.
Οι Λευΐται εν ταις ημέραις του Ελιασείβ, Ιωαδά και Ιωανάν και Ιαδδουά, ήσαν καταγεγραμμένοι άρχοντες πατριών· και οι ιερείς, επί της βασιλείας Δαρείου του Πέρσου.
23 The sons of Levi, heads of ancestral houses, were written in the scroll of the chronicles, even until the days of Johanan the son of Eliashib.
Οι υιοί του Λευΐ, άρχοντες των πατριών, ήσαν καταγεγραμμένοι εν τω βιβλίω των Χρονικών, μάλιστα έως των ημερών του Ιωανάν υιού του Ελιασείβ.
24 The chiefs of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brothers over against them, to praise and give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, watch next to watch.
Και οι άρχοντες των Λευϊτών, Ασαβίας, Σερεβίας, και Ιησούς ο υιός του Καδμιήλ, και οι αδελφοί αυτών απέναντι αυτών, διά να αινώσι και να υμνώσι κατά την προσταγήν Δαβίδ του ανθρώπου του Θεού, φυλακή απέναντι φυλακής.
25 Mattaniah, and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were gatekeepers keeping the watch at the storehouses of the gates.
Ο Ματθανίας και Βακβουκίας, Οβαδία, Μεσουλλάμ, Ταλμών, Ακκούβ, ήσαν πυλωροί φυλάττοντες την φυλακήν εν τοις ταμείοις των πυλών.
26 These were in the days of Joiakim the son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of Ezra the priest the scribe.
Ούτοι ήσαν εν ταις ημέραις του Ιωακείμ, υιού Ιησού, υιού Ιωσεδέχ, και εν ταις ημέραις Νεεμία του κυβερνήτου και του ιερέως Έσδρα του γραμματέως.
27 At the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, both with giving thanks, and with singing, with cymbals, stringed instruments, and with harps.
Και εν τοις εγκαινίοις του τείχους της Ιερουσαλήμ, εζήτησαν τους Λευΐτας από πάντων των τόπων αυτών διά να φέρωσιν αυτούς εις Ιερουσαλήμ, να κάμωσι τα εγκαίνια μετ' ευφροσύνης, υμνούντες και ψάλλοντες εν κυμβάλοις, ψαλτηρίοις και εν κιθάραις.
28 The sons of the singers gathered themselves together, both out of the plain around Jerusalem, and from the villages of the Netophathites;
Και συνήχθησαν οι υιοί των ψαλτωδών και από της περιχώρου κυκλόθεν της Ιερουσαλήμ και από των χωρίων Νετωφαθί·
29 also from Beth Gilgal, and out of the fields of Geba and Azmaveth: for the singers had built them villages around Jerusalem.
και από του οίκου Γιλγάλ και από των αγρών Γεβά και Αζμαβέθ· διότι οι ψαλτωδοί ωκοδόμησαν χωρία εις εαυτούς κύκλω της Ιερουσαλήμ.
30 The priests and the Levites purified themselves; and they purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.
Και εκαθαρίσθησαν οι ιερείς και οι Λευΐται, και εκαθάρισαν τον λαόν και τας πύλας και το τείχος.
31 Then I brought up the leaders of Judah onto the wall, and appointed two great companies who gave thanks and went in procession. One went on the right hand on the wall toward the Dung Gate;
Τότε ανεβίβασα τους άρχοντας του Ιούδα επί το τείχος και έστησα δύο μεγάλους χορούς αινούντων· ο μεν επορεύετο επί τα δεξιά, επί του τείχους προς την πύλην της κοπρίας·
32 and after them went Hoshaiah, and half of the leaders of Judah,
και κατόπιν αυτών επορεύοντο ο Ωσαΐας και το ήμισυ των αρχόντων του Ιούδα,
33 and Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam,
και ο Αζαρίας, ο Έσδρας και ο Μεσουλλάμ,
34 Judah, and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah,
ο Ιούδας και ο Βενιαμίν και ο Σεμαΐας και ο Ιερεμίας·
35 and certain of the priests' sons with trumpets: Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micaiah, the son of Zakkur, the son of Asaph;
και εκ των υιών των ιερέων μετά σαλπίγγων, ο Ζαχαρίας ο υιός του Ιωνάθαν, υιού του Σεμαΐα, υιού του Ματθανία, υιού του Μιχαΐα, υιού του Ζακχούρ, υιού του Ασάφ·
36 and his brothers, Shemaiah, and Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel, and Judah, Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God; and Ezra the scribe was before them.
και οι αδελφοί αυτού, Σεμαΐας, και Αζαρεήλ, Μιλαλαΐ, Γιλαλαΐ, Μααΐ, Ναθαναήλ, και Ιούδας, Ανανί, μετά μουσικών οργάνων Δαβίδ του ανθρώπου του Θεού, και Έσδρας ο γραμματεύς έμπροσθεν αυτών.
37 By the Fountain Gate, and straight before them, they went up by the stairs of the City of David, at the ascent of the wall, above the house of David, even to the Water Gate eastward.
Και επί την πύλην της πηγής και απέναντι αυτών, ανέβησαν διά των βαθμίδων της πόλεως Δαβίδ εις την ανάβασιν του τείχους, επάνωθεν του οίκου του Δαβίδ, και έως της πύλης των υδάτων προς ανατολάς.
38 The other company of those who gave thanks went to meet them, and I after them, with the half of the people, on the wall, above the Tower of the Ovens, to the Broad Wall,
Ο δε άλλος χορός των αινούντων επορεύετο εις το απέναντι, και εγώ κατόπιν αυτών, και το ήμισυ του λαού επί του τείχους, επάνωθεν του πύργου των φούρνων και έως του τείχους του πλατέος.
39 and above the Ephraim Gate, and by the Jeshanah Gate, and by the Fish Gate, and the Tower of Hananel, and the Tower of the Hundred, and as far as the Sheep Gate. And they stood still in the Gate of the Guard.
Και επάνωθεν της πύλης Εφραΐμ και επάνωθεν της παλαιάς πύλης, και επάνωθεν της ιχθυϊκής πύλης και του πύργου Ανανεήλ και του πύργου του Μεά και έως της πύλης της προβατικής· και εστάθησαν εν τη πύλη της φυλακής.
40 So stood the two companies of those who gave thanks in God's house, and I, and the half of the rulers with me;
Και εστάθησαν οι δύο χοροί των αινούντων εν τω οίκω του Θεού, και εγώ και το ήμισυ των προεστώτων μετ' εμού·
41 and the priests, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets;
και οι ιερείς, Ελιακείμ, Μαασίας, Μινιαμείν, Μιχαΐας, Ελιωηνάϊ, Ζαχαρίας και Ανανίας, μετά σαλπίγγων·
42 and Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer. The singers sang loud, with Jezrahiah their overseer.
και Μαασίας και Σεμαΐας και Ελεάζαρ και Οζί και Ιωανάν και Μαλχίας και Ελάμ και Εσέρ. Και οι ψαλτωδοί ύψωσαν την φωνήν αυτών, μετά του Ιεζραΐα του επιστάτου.
43 They offered great sacrifices that day, and rejoiced; for God had made them rejoice with great joy; and the women also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.
Και προσέφεραν εν εκείνη τη ημέρα θυσίας μεγάλας και ευφράνθησαν· διότι ο Θεός εύφρανεν αυτούς ευφροσύνην μεγάλην. Και αι γυναίκες έτι και τα παιδία ευφράνθησαν· και η ευφροσύνη της Ιερουσαλήμ ηκούσθη έως μακρόθεν.
44 On that day men were appointed over the storerooms, for the contributions, the first fruits, and the tithes, to gather into them from the fields of the cities the portions appointed by the law for the priests and Levites, for Judah rejoiced over the priests and the Levites who ministered.
Και εν τη ημέρα εκείνη διωρίσθησαν άνδρες επί των οικημάτων διά τους θησαυρούς, διά τας προσφοράς, διά τας απαρχάς και διά τα δέκατα, διά να συνάγωσιν εν αυτοίς από των αγρών των πόλεων τα νενομισμένα μερίδια διά τους ιερείς και Λευΐτας· διότι ο Ιούδας ευφράνθη εξ αιτίας των ιερέων και εξ αιτίας των Λευϊτών των παρεστώτων.
45 They performed the duty of their God, and the duty of the purification, and so did the singers and the gatekeepers, according to the commandment of David, and of Solomon his son.
Και οι ψαλτωδοί και οι πυλωροί εφύλαξαν την φυλακήν του Θεού αυτών και την φυλακήν του καθαρισμού, κατά την προσταγήν του Δαβίδ και Σολομώντος του υιού αυτού.
46 For long ago in the days of David and Asaph there were directors of the singers and songs of praise and thanksgiving to God.
Διότι εν ταις ημέραις του Δαβίδ και του Ασάφ ήσαν εξ αρχής πρωτοψάλται και άσματα αινέσεως και ύμνοι προς τον Θεόν.
47 All Israel in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, gave the portions of the singers and the gatekeepers, as every day required: and they set apart that which was for the Levites; and the Levites set apart that which was for the sons of Aaron.
Και πας ο Ισραήλ εν ταις ημέραις του Ζοροβάβελ και εν ταις ημέραις του Νεεμία έδιδον τα τεταγμένα μερίδια των ψαλτωδών και των πυλωρών, κατά πάσαν ημέραν· και ηγίαζον αυτά εις τους Λευΐτας, και οι Λευΐται ηγίαζον εις τους υιούς Ααρών.
