Mark 7
1 Then the Pharisees, and some of the scribes gathered together to him, having come from Jerusalem.
Entonces se reunieron con él los fariseos y algunos de los escribas, que habían venido de Jerusalén.
2 Now when they saw that some of his disciples ate bread with defiled, that is, unwashed, hands, they found fault.
Al ver que algunos de sus discípulos comían el pan con las manos manchadas, es decir, sin lavar, se quejaron.
3 (For the Pharisees, and all Jewish people, do not eat unless they wash their hands and forearms, holding to the Tradition of the Elders.
(Porque los fariseos y todos los judíos no comen si no se lavan las manos y los antebrazos, siguiendo la tradición de los ancianos.
4 They do not eat when they come from the marketplace unless they wash. And there are many other things which they have received and hold to, the washing of cups and pitchers and copper vessels and dining couches.)
No comen cuando vienen de la plaza si no se bañan, y hay otras muchas cosas que han recibido para aferrarse a ellas: lavados de copas, cántaros, vasos de bronce y camillas).
5 The Pharisees and the scribes asked him, "Why do your disciples not walk according to the Tradition of the Elders, but eat their bread with unwashed hands?"
Los fariseos y los escribas le preguntaron: “¿Por qué tus discípulos no andan según la tradición de los ancianos, sino que comen el pan con las manos sin lavar?”
6 He said to them, "Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, 'This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
Les respondió: “Bien profetizó Isaías de vosotros, hipócritas, como está escrito, ‘Este pueblo me honra con sus labios, pero su corazón está lejos de mí.
7 And in vain do they worship me, teaching instructions that are the commandments of humans.'
Me adoran en vano, enseñando como doctrinas los mandamientos de los hombres.”
8 "For you set aside the commandment of God, and hold tightly to human tradition."
“Porque dejáis de lado el mandamiento de Dios, y os aferráis a la tradición de los hombres: el lavado de los cántaros y de las copas, y hacéis otras muchas cosas semejantes.”
9 He said to them, "Full well do you reject the commandment of God, that you may establish your tradition.
Él les dijo: “Bien rechazáis el mandamiento de Dios para mantener vuestra tradición.
10 For Moses said, 'Honor your father and your mother;' and, 'Anyone who speaks evil of father or mother, let him be put to death.'
Porque Moisés dijo: ‘Honra a tu padre y a tu madre,’ y ‘El que hable mal del padre o de la madre, que muera’.
11 But you say, 'If anyone tells his father or mother, "Whatever profit you might have received from me is Corban, that is to say, given to God;"'
Pero vosotros decís: “Si un hombre dice a su padre o a su madre: “Cualquier beneficio que hayas recibido de mí es “corbán”, es decir, entregado a Dios,
12 then you no longer allow him to do anything for his father or his mother,
“entonces ya no le permitís hacer nada por su padre o por su madre,
13 making void the word of God by your tradition, which you have handed down. You do many things like this."
anulando la palabra de Dios por vuestra tradición que habéis transmitido. Vosotros hacéis muchas cosas así”.
14 And he called the crowd to himself again, and said to them, "Hear me, all of you, and understand.
Llamó a toda la multitud y les dijo: “Oídme todos y entended.
15 There is nothing from outside of the person, that going into him can defile him; but the things which proceed out of the person are what defile the person."
Nada de lo que sale del hombre puede contaminarle; pero lo que sale del hombre es lo que le contamina.
Si alguien tiene oídos para oír, que oiga”.
17 When he had entered into a house away from the crowd, his disciples asked him about the parable.
Cuando entró en una casa lejos de la multitud, sus discípulos le preguntaron por la parábola.
18 He said to them, "Are you thus without understanding also? Do you not perceive that whatever goes into the person from outside cannot defile him,
Él les dijo: “¿También vosotros estáis sin entendimiento? ¿No os dais cuenta de que todo lo que entra en el hombre desde fuera no puede contaminarle,
19 because it does not go into his heart, but into his stomach, then into the latrine, cleansing all the foods?"
porque no entra en su corazón, sino en su estómago, y luego en la letrina, con lo que todos los alimentos quedan limpios?”
20 He said, "That which proceeds out of the man, that defiles the man.
El dijo: “Lo que sale del hombre, eso contamina al hombre.
21 For from within, out of a person's heart, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, sexual sins, murders, thefts,
Porque de dentro, del corazón de los hombres, salen los malos pensamientos, los adulterios, los pecados sexuales, los asesinatos, los robos,
22 covetings, wickedness, deceit, lustful desires, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, and foolishness.
las codicias, la maldad, el engaño, los deseos lujuriosos, el mal de ojo, la blasfemia, la soberbia y la necedad.
23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man."
Todas estas cosas malas salen de dentro y contaminan al hombre”.
24 From there he arose, and went away into the region of Tyre and Sidon. He entered into a house, and did not want anyone to know it, but he could not escape notice.
De allí se levantó y se fue a los límites de Tiro y Sidón. Entró en una casa y no quiso que nadie lo supiera, pero no pudo pasar desapercibido.
25 But immediately a woman whose young daughter had an unclean spirit heard of him and came and fell at his feet.
Porque una mujer cuya hija pequeña tenía un espíritu impuro, al oír hablar de él, vino y se postró a sus pies.
26 Now the woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by race. She begged him that he would cast the demon out of her daughter.
La mujer era griega, de raza sirofenicia. Le rogó que expulsara el demonio de su hija.
27 But he said to her, "Let the children be filled first, for it is not appropriate to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs."
Pero Jesús le dijo: “Deja que se sacien primero los niños, porque no conviene tomar el pan de los niños y echarlo a los perros.”
28 But she answered him, "Yes, Sir. Yet even the dogs under the table eat the children's crumbs."
Pero ella le respondió: “Sí, Señor. Pero hasta los perros que están debajo de la mesa se comen las migajas de los niños”.
29 He said to her, "For this saying, go your way. The demon has gone out of your daughter."
Le dijo: “Por este dicho, vete. El demonio ha salido de tu hija”.
30 And when she went away to her house, she found the child lying on the bed, the demon having left.
Se fue a su casa y encontró al niño acostado en la cama, con el demonio fuera.
31 Again he departed from the borders of Tyre, and came through Sidon to the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the region of Decapolis.
Volvió a salir de los límites de Tiro y Sidón, y llegó al mar de Galilea por el centro de la región de Decápolis.
32 They brought to him one who was deaf and had a speech difficulty, and they begged Jesus to lay his hand on him.
Le trajeron a uno que era sordo y tenía un impedimento en el habla. Le rogaron que le pusiera la mano encima.
33 He took him aside from the crowd, privately, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spat, and touched his tongue.
Lo apartó de la multitud en privado y le metió los dedos en los oídos, y escupiendo le tocó la lengua.
34 Looking up to heaven, he sighed, and said to him, "Ephphatha." that is, "Be opened."
Mirando al cielo, suspiró y le dijo: “¡Efatá!”, es decir, “¡Ábrete!”.
35 And his ears were opened, and the impediment of his tongue was released, and he spoke clearly.
Al instante se le abrieron los oídos y se le soltó el impedimento de la lengua, y habló con claridad.
36 He commanded them that they should tell no one, but the more he commanded them, so much the more widely they proclaimed it.
Les ordenó que no se lo dijeran a nadie, pero cuanto más les ordenaba, tanto más lo proclamaban.
37 They were astonished beyond measure, saying, "He has done all things well. He makes even the deaf hear, and the mute speak."
Ellos se asombraron mucho, diciendo: “Todo lo ha hecho bien. Hace que hasta los sordos oigan y los mudos hablen”.
