< Mark 16 >

1 When the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, that they might come and anoint him.
Na rĩrĩ, Thabatũ yathira, Mariamu Mũmagidali, na Mariamu nyina wa Jakubu, na Salome makĩgũra indo nungi wega nĩgeetha mathiĩ makahake mwĩrĩ wa Jesũ.
2 Very early on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen.
Mũthenya wa mbere wa kiumia, rũciinĩ tene thuutha wa riũa kũratha, marĩ njĩra magĩthiĩ mbĩrĩra-inĩ,
3 They were saying among themselves, "Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?"
nĩmoranagia atĩrĩ, “Nũũ ũgũtũgaragarĩria ihiga rĩehere mũromo-inĩ wa mbĩrĩra?”
4 for it was very big. Looking up, they saw that the stone was rolled back.
No rĩrĩa maatiirire maitho, makĩona ihiga rĩu nĩrĩagaragarĩtio rĩkehera, nĩgũkorwo rĩarĩ inene mũno.
5 Entering into the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe, and they were amazed.
Na rĩrĩa maatoonyaga mbĩrĩra-thĩinĩ, makĩona mwanake wehumbĩte nguo njerũ ndaaya aikarĩte thĩ mwena wao wa ũrĩo, nao makĩmaka.
6 He said to them, "Do not be amazed. You seek Jesus, the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen. He is not here. Look, the place where they put him.
Nake akĩmeera atĩrĩ, “Tigai kũmaka. Mũracaria Jesũ ũrĩa wa Nazarethi, ũrĩa ũrambirwo mũtĩ igũrũ. Nĩariũkĩte! Ndarĩ haha. Onei harĩa maramũigĩte.
7 But go, tell his disciples and Peter, 'He goes before you into Galilee. There you will see him, as he said to you.'"
No thiĩi mwĩre arutwo ake o na Petero atĩrĩ, ‘Nĩekũmũtongoria gũthiĩ Galili. Kũu nĩkuo mũkaamuona, o ta ũrĩa aamwĩrire’.”
8 They went out, and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had come on them. They said nothing to anyone; for they were afraid.
Atumia acio makiuma hau mbĩrĩra-inĩ makĩinainaga na magegete. Matirĩ mũndũ meerire ũndũ, tondũ nĩmetigagĩra.
9 (note: The most reliable and earliest manuscripts do not include Mark 16:9-20.) Now when he had risen early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons.
(note: The most reliable and earliest manuscripts do not include Mark 16:9-20.) Mũthenya wa mbere wa kiumia rũciinĩ tene Jesũ ariũka-rĩ, aambire kuumĩrĩra Mariamu Mũmagidali ũrĩa aarutĩte ndaimono mũgwanja.
10 She went and told those who had been with him, as they mourned and wept.
Nake Mariamu agĩthiĩ akĩĩra arĩa maatũire na Jesũ, akĩmakora magĩcakaya na makĩrĩra.
11 When they heard that he was alive, and had been seen by her, they disbelieved.
Nao maigua atĩ Jesũ nĩariũkĩte, na atĩ Mariamu nĩamuonete, makĩrega gwĩtĩkia.
12 And after these things he appeared in another form to two of them, as they walked on their way into the country.
Thuutha ũcio Jesũ akiumĩrĩra andũ angĩ eerĩ ao, ahaana ũndũ ũngĩ, rĩrĩa maathiiaga mĩgũnda-inĩ.
13 And they went away and told it to the rest. They did not believe them, either.
Andũ acio makĩhũndũka, magĩthiĩ makĩĩra arutwo arĩa angĩ; no-o nao makĩrega kũmetĩkia.
14 Afterward he was revealed to the eleven themselves as they were reclining, and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen him after he had risen.
15 And he said to them, "Go into all the world, and proclaim the Good News to the whole creation.
Akĩmeera atĩrĩ, “Thiĩi thĩ yothe mũkahunjĩrie andũ othe Ũhoro-ũrĩa-Mwega.
16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who disbelieves will be condemned.
Na mũndũ o wothe ũgetĩkia na abatithio nĩakahonoka, no ũrĩa wothe ũtagetĩkia nĩagatuĩrwo ciira.
17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
Nacio ciama ici nĩ igatwaranaga na arĩa metĩkĩtie: Nĩmakaingata ndaimono thĩinĩ wa rĩĩtwa rĩakwa; na nĩmakaaria na thiomi njerũ;
18 they will pick up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not harm them; they will place their hands on the sick, and they will be made well."
na nĩmakanyiita nyoka na moko mao; na rĩrĩa makaanyua thumu, ndũkamathũkia o na hanini; nĩmakaigagĩrĩra andũ arĩa arũaru moko, nao mahone.”
19 So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.
Mwathani Jesũ aarĩkia kũmaarĩria ũhoro ũcio, agĩtwarwo igũrũ na agĩikara thĩ guoko-inĩ kwa ũrĩo kwa Ngai.
20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the message by the signs that followed.
