Luke 20
1 It happened on one of those days, as he was teaching the people in the temple and preaching the Good News, that the chief priests and scribes came to him with the elders.
E aconteceu n'um d'aquelles dias que, estando elle ensinando o povo no templo, e annunciando o evangelho, sobrevieram os principaes dos sacerdotes e os escribas com os anciãos,
2 They asked him, "Tell us: by what authority do you do these things? Or who is giving you this authority?"
E fallaram-lhe, dizendo: Dize-nos, com que auctoridade fazes estas coisas? Ou, quem é que te deu esta auctoridade?
3 He answered them, "I also will ask you one question. Tell me:
E, respondendo elle, disse-lhes: Tambem eu vos farei uma pergunta: dizei-me pois:
4 the baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from man?"
O baptismo de João era do céu ou dos homens?
5 They reasoned with themselves, saying, "If we say, 'From heaven,' he will say, 'Why did you not believe him?'
E elles arrazoavam entre si, dizendo: Se dissermos: Do céu, elle nos dirá: Então porque o não crestes?
6 But if we say, 'From man,' all the people will stone us, for they are persuaded that John was a prophet."
E se dissermos: Dos homens; todo o povo nos apedrejará, pois teem por certo que João era propheta.
7 They answered that they did not know where it was from.
E responderam que não sabiam d'onde era.
8 Jesus said to them, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things."
E Jesus lhes disse: Nem tão pouco eu vos digo com que auctoridade faço estas coisas.
9 He began to tell the people this parable. "A man planted a vineyard, and rented it out to some farmers, and went on a journey for a long time.
E começou a dizer ao povo esta parabola: Um certo homem plantou uma vinha, e arrendou-a a uns lavradores, e partiu para fóra da terra por muito tempo;
10 At the proper season, he sent a servant to the farmers to collect his share of the fruit of the vineyard. But the farmers beat him, and sent him away empty.
E a seu tempo mandou um servo aos lavradores, para que lhe déssem dos fructos da vinha; mas os lavradores, espancando-o, mandaram-n'o vazio.
11 He sent yet another servant, and they also beat him, and treated him shamefully, and sent him away empty.
E tornou ainda a mandar outro servo; mas elles, espancando tambem a este, e affrontando-o, mandaram-n'o vazio.
12 He sent yet a third, and they also wounded him, and threw him out.
E tornou ainda a mandar terceiro; mas elles, ferindo tambem a este, o expulsaram.
13 The lord of the vineyard said, 'What am I to do? I will send my beloved son. It may be that they will respect him.'
E disse o senhor da vinha: Que farei? Mandarei o meu filho amado; talvez que, vendo-o, o respeitem.
14 "But when the farmers saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, 'This is the heir. Let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.'
Mas, vendo-o os lavradores, arrazoaram entre si, dizendo: Este é o herdeiro; vinde, matemol-o, para que a herdade seja nossa.
15 They threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do to them?
E, lançando-o fóra da vinha, o mataram. Que lhes fará pois o senhor da vinha?
16 He will come and destroy these farmers, and will give the vineyard to others." When they heard it, they said, "May it never be."
Irá, e destruirá estes lavradores, e dará a outros a vinha. E, ouvindo elles isto, disseram: Assim não seja!
17 But he looked at them, and said, "Then what is this that is written, 'The stone which the builders rejected, the same was made the chief cornerstone?'
Mas elle, olhando para elles, disse: Que é isto pois que está escripto? A pedra, que os edificadores reprovaram, essa foi feita cabeça da esquina.
18 Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces; but on whomever it falls, it will crush him."
Qualquer que cair sobre aquella pedra será quebrantado, e aquelle sobre quem ella cair será feito em pedaços.
19 The chief priests and the scribes sought to lay hands on him that very hour, but they feared the people—for they knew he had spoken this parable against them.
E os principaes dos sacerdotes e os escribas procuravam lançar mão d'elle n'aquella mesma hora; mas temeram o povo; porque entenderam que contra elles dissera esta parabola.
20 They watched him, and sent out spies, who pretended to be righteous, that they might trap him in something he said, so as to deliver him up to the power and authority of the governor.
E, trazendo-o debaixo de olho, mandaram espias, que se fingissem justos, para o apanhar n'alguma palavra, e entregal-o á jurisdicção e poder do presidente.
21 They asked him, "Teacher, we know that you say and teach what is right, and are not partial to anyone, but truly teach the way of God.
E perguntaram-lhe, dizendo: Mestre, nós sabemos que fallas e ensinas bem e rectamente, e que não attentas para a apparencia da pessoa, mas ensinas com verdade o caminho de Deus:
22 Is it lawful for us to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?"
É-nos licito dar tributo a Cesar ou não?
23 But he perceived their craftiness, and said to them,
E, entendendo elle a sua astucia, disse-lhes: Porque me tentaes?
24 "Show me a denarius. Whose image and inscription are on it?" They answered, "Caesar's."
Mostrae-me uma moeda. De quem tem a imagem e a inscripção? E, respondendo elles, disseram: De Cesar.
25 He said to them, "Then give to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's."
Disse-lhes então: Dae pois a Cesar o que é de Cesar, e a Deus o que é de Deus.
26 They weren't able to trap him in his words before the people. And amazed at his answer, they fell silent.
E não poderam apanhal-o em palavra alguma diante do povo; e, maravilhados da sua resposta, calaram-se.
27 Some of the Sadducees came to him, those who deny that there is a resurrection.
E, chegando-se alguns dos sadduceos, que dizem não haver resurreição, perguntaram-lhe,
28 They asked him, "Teacher, Moses wrote to us that if a man's brother dies having a wife, and he is childless, his brother should take the wife, and raise up children for his brother.
Dizendo: Mestre, Moysés escreveu-nos que, se o irmão d'algum fallecer, tendo mulher, e não deixar filhos, o irmão d'elle tome a mulher, e suscite posteridade a seu irmão.
29 There were therefore seven brothers. The first took a wife, and died childless.
Houve pois sete irmãos, e o primeiro tomou mulher, e morreu sem filhos;
30 The second and
E o segundo tomou-a, e tambem este morreu sem filhos;
31 the third took her, and likewise the seven all left no children, and died.
E o terceiro tomou-a, e egualmente tambem os sete: e morreram, e não deixaram filhos.
32 Afterward the woman also died.
E por ultimo, depois de todos, morreu tambem a mulher.
33 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them will she be? For the seven had her as a wife."
Portanto, na resurreição, de qual d'elles será a mulher, pois que os sete a tiveram por mulher?
E, respondendo Jesus, disse-lhes: Os filhos d'este seculo casam-se, e dão-se em casamento; (aiōn g165)
35 But those who are regarded as worthy of a place in that age and the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given to someone to marry. (aiōn g165)
Mas os que forem havidos por dignos de alcançar aquelle seculo, e a resurreição dos mortos, nem hão de casar, nem ser dados em casamento; (aiōn g165)
36 For they cannot die any more, for they are like the angels, and are children of God, being children of the resurrection.
Porque não podem mais morrer; pois são eguaes aos anjos, e são filhos de Deus, visto que são filhos da resurreição.
37 But that the dead are raised, even Moses showed at the bush, when he called the Lord 'The God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.'
E que os mortos hão de resuscitar tambem o mostrou Moysés junto da sarça, quando chama ao Senhor Deus de Abrahão, e Deus de Isaac, e Deus de Jacob.
38 Now he is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for all are alive to him."
Ora Deus não é Deus de mortos, porém de vivos; porque para elle vivem todos.
39 Some of the scribes answered, "Teacher, you speak well."
E, respondendo alguns dos escribas, disseram: Mestre, disseste bem.
40 They did not dare to ask him any more questions.
E não ousavam perguntar-lhe mais coisa alguma.
41 He said to them, "Why do they say that the Christ is David's son?
E elle lhes disse: Como dizem que o Christo é filho de David?
42 David himself says in the scroll of Psalms, 'The Lord said to my Lord, "Sit at my right hand,
Dizendo o mesmo David no livro dos Psalmos: Disse o Senhor ao meu Senhor: Assenta-te á minha direita,
43 until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet."'
Até que eu ponha os teus inimigos por escabello de teus pés.
44 "David therefore calls him Lord, so how is he his son?"
De sorte que David lhe chama Senhor; e como é seu filho?
45 In the hearing of all the people, he said to his disciples,
E, ouvindo-o todo o povo, disse Jesus aos seus discipulos:
46 "Beware of the scribes, who like to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the marketplaces, the best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts;
Guardae-vos dos escribas, que querem andar com vestidos compridos; e amam as saudações nas praças, e as principaes cadeiras nas synagogas, e os primeiros logares nos banquetes;
47 who devour widows' houses, and for a pretense make long prayers: these will receive greater condemnation."
Que devoram as casas das viuvas, fazendo, como pretexto, largas orações. Estes receberão maior condemnação.
