Job 28
1 "Surely there is a mine for silver, and a place for gold which they refine.
“यक़ीनन चाँदी की कान होती है, और सोने के लिए जगह होती है, जहाँ ताया जाता है।
2 Iron is taken out of the earth, and copper is smelted out of the ore.
लोहा ज़मीन से निकाला जाता है, और पीतल पत्थर में से गलाया जाता है।
3 Man sets an end to darkness, and searches out, to the furthest bound, the stones of obscurity and of thick darkness.
इंसान तारीकी की तह तक पहुँचता है, और ज़ुल्मात और मौत के साए की इन्तिहा तक पत्थरों की तलाश करता है।
4 He breaks open a shaft away from where people live. They are forgotten by the foot. They hang far from men, they swing back and forth.
आबादी से दूर वह सुरंग लगाता है, आने जाने वालों के पाँव से बे ख़बर और लोगों से दूर वह लटकते और झूलते हैं।
5 As for the earth, out of it comes bread; Underneath it is turned up as it were by fire.
और ज़मीन उस से ख़ूराक पैदा होती है, और उसके अन्दर गोया आग से इन्क़लाब होता रहता है।
6 Sapphires come from its rocks. It has dust of gold.
उसके पत्थरों में नीलम है, और उसमें सोने के ज़र्रे हैं
7 That path no bird of prey knows, neither has the falcon's eye seen it.
उस राह को कोई शिकारी परिन्दा नहीं जानता न कुछ की आँख ने उसे देखा है।
8 The proud animals have not trodden it, nor has the fierce lion passed by there.
न मुतक़ब्बिर जानवर उस पर चले हैं, न खू़नख़्वार बबर उधर से गुज़रा है।
9 He puts forth his hand on the flinty rock, and he overturns the mountains by the roots.
वह चकमक की चट्टान पर हाथ लगाता है, वह पहाड़ों को जड़ ही से उखाड़ देता है।
10 He cuts out channels among the rocks. His eye sees every precious thing.
वह चट्टानों में से नालियाँ काटता है, उसकी आँख हर एक बेशक़ीमत चीज़ को देख लेती है।
11 He binds the streams that they do not trickle. The thing that is hidden he brings forth to light.
वह नदियों को मसदूद करता है, कि वह टपकती भी नहीं और छिपी चीज़ को वह रोशनी में निकाल लाता है।
12 "But where shall wisdom be found? Where is the place of understanding?
लेकिन हिकमत कहाँ मिलेगी? और 'अक़्लमन्दी की जगह कहाँ है
13 Man doesn't know its price; Neither is it found in the land of the living.
न इंसान उसकी क़द्र जानता है, न वह ज़िन्दों की सर ज़मीन में मिलती है।
14 The deep says, 'It isn't in me.' The sea says, 'It isn't with me.'
गहराव कहता है, वह मुझ में नहीं है, और समन्दर भी कहता है वह मेरे पास नहीं है।
15 It can't be gotten for gold, neither shall silver be weighed for its price.
न वह सोने के बदले मिल सकती है, न चाँदी उसकी क़ीमत के लिए तुलेगी।
16 It can't be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire.
न ओफ़ीर का सोना उसका मोल हो सकता है और न क़ीमती सुलैमानी पत्थर या नीलम।
17 Gold and glass can't equal it, neither shall it be exchanged for jewels of fine gold.
न सोना और काँच उसकी बराबरी कर सकते हैं, न चोखे सोने के ज़ेवर उसका बदल ठहरेंगे।
18 No mention shall be made of coral or of crystal. Yes, the price of wisdom is above rubies.
मोंगे और बिल्लौर का नाम भी नहीं लिया जाएगा, बल्कि हिकमत की क़ीमत मरजान से बढ़कर है।
19 The topaz of Ethiopia shall not equal it, Neither shall it be valued with pure gold.
न कूश का पुखराज उसके बराबर ठहरेगा न चोखा सोना उसका मोल होगा।
20 From where then comes wisdom? Where is the place of understanding?
फिर हिकमत कहाँ से आती है, और 'अक़्लमन्दी की जगह कहाँ है।
21 Seeing it is hidden from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the birds of the sky.
जिस हाल कि वह सब ज़िन्दों की आँखों से छिपी है, और हवा के परिंदों से पोशीदा रख्खी गई है
22 Destruction and Death say, 'We have heard a rumor of it with our ears.'
हलाकत और मौत कहती है, 'हम ने अपने कानों से उसकी अफ़वाह तो सुनी है।”
23 "God understands its way, and he knows its place.
“ख़ुदा उसकी राह को जानता है, और उसकी जगह से वाक़िफ़ है।
24 For he looks to the farthest parts of the earth, and sees under the whole sky.
क्यूँकि वह ज़मीन की इन्तिहा तक नज़र करता है, और सारे आसमान के नीचे देखता है;
25 He establishes the force of the wind. Yes, he measures out the waters by measure.
ताकि वह हवा का वज़न ठहराए, बल्कि वह पानी को पैमाने से नापता है।
26 When he made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunder;
जब उसने बारिश के लिए क़ानून, और रा'द की बर्क़ के लिए रास्ता ठहराया,
27 then he saw it, and declared it. He established it, yes, and searched it out.
तब ही उसने उसे देखा और उसका बयान किया, उसने उसे क़ाईम और ढूँड निकाला।
28 To man he said, 'Look, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom. To depart from evil is understanding.'"
और उसने इंसान से कहा, देख, ख़ुदावन्द का ख़ौफ़ ही हिकमत है; और बदी से दूर रहना यही 'अक़्लमन्दी है।”
