< Job 24 >

1 "Why aren't times made known by Shaddai? Why do not those who know him see his days?
Tipongah Thacak Sithaw mah lokcaekhaih atue to khaek ai loe? Anih panoek kaminawk mah anih lokcaekhaih ani to panoek o ai maw?
2 There are people who remove the landmarks. They violently take away flocks, and feed them.
Thoemto kaminawk loe ramri to tahruet o; minawk ih tuunawk to a lomh pae o moe, angmacae hanah pacah o.
3 They drive away the donkey of the fatherless, and they take the widow's ox for a pledge.
Naqahnawk ih laa hrang to huih pae o ving moe, lamhmai ih maitaw tae to paawng ih hmuen baktiah lak pae o ving.
4 They turn the needy out of the way. The poor of the earth all hide themselves.
Caaknaek tawn ai kaminawk to loklam amkhraeng o sak, long ah kaom amtang kaminawk loe nawnto anghawk o.
5 Look, as wild donkeys in the desert, they go forth to their work, seeking diligently for food. The wilderness yields them bread for their children.
Khenah, amtang kaminawk loe toksak hanah taw ih laa hrangnawk baktiah a caeh o; khawnthaw ah caeh o moe, angmacae hoi a caanawk hanah taw ah caaknaek pakrong o.
6 They cut their provender in the field. They glean the vineyard of the wicked.
Nihcae loe lawk ah cang aah o moe, kahoih ai kaminawk ih misur thaih to pakhrik pae o.
7 They lie all night naked without clothing, and have no covering in the cold.
Nihcae loe khukbuen tawn o ai, bangkrai ah iih o; angqai naah angkhuk hanah tawn o ai.
8 They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for lack of a shelter.
Mae ih khotui mah nihcae to bawh moe, abuephaih tawn o ai pongah, lungsong to takop o.
9 There are those who pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor,
Amno ih tahnutui kanae ampa tawn ai nawkta to a lak pae o, amtang kaminawk to hmuenmae paawng o sak.
10 So that they go around naked without clothing. Being hungry, they carry the sheaves.
Nihcae to khukbuen tawn ai bangkrai ah caeh o sak moe, zok amthlam kami ih cangqui to lomh pae o ving;
11 They make oil within the walls of these men. They tread wine presses, and suffer thirst.
nihcae loe lawk ah olive tui pasawh o, misurtui doeh pasawh o; toe tui anghaehhaih hoiah patangkhang o.
12 From out of the populous city, men groan. The soul of the wounded cries out, yet God doesn't regard the folly.
Vangpui thung hoiah kaminawk hanghaih lok to tacawt, ahmaa kacaa kaminawk loe tahmen hnikhaih hoiah hangh o; toe nihcae tahmen hnikhaih to Sithaw mah tidoeh sah pae ai.
13 "These are of those who rebel against the light. They do not know its ways, nor abide in its paths.
Nihcae loe aanghaih lokaek kaminawk ah oh o; nihcae loe aanghaih loklam to panoek o ai, to loklam doeh pazui o ai.
14 The murderer rises with the light. He kills the poor and needy. In the night he is like a thief.
Kami humnawk loe khawnthaw ah angthawk o moe, caaknaek tawn ai kami hoi amtang kaminawk to hum o pacoengah, aqum ah hmuenmae to paquk o.
15 The eye also of the adulterer waits for the twilight, saying, 'No eye shall see me.' He disguises his face.
Zu sava laep ah zaehaih sak koeh kami loe khoving to a zing kongh, a mikhmai to khuk khoep, mi mah doeh na hnu mak ai, tiah a poek.
16 In the dark they dig through houses. They shut themselves up in the daytime. They do not know the light.
Nihcae loe khoving ah minawk ih im to muk o, khodai ah loe imthung ah anghawk o; aanghaih to panoek o ai.
17 For the morning is to all of them like thick darkness, for they know the terrors of the thick darkness.
Khoving loe nihcae ih ampui ah oh pongah, khodai loe nihcae han duekhaih tahlip ah oh pae lat.
18 "They are foam on the surface of the waters. Their portion is cursed in the earth. They do not turn into the way of the vineyards.
To baktih kahoih ai kaminawk loe tui nui ih kakhoem tui apoep baktiah ni oh o; long tahamsethaih loe nihcae ih taham ah oh; to pongah misur takha caehhaih lam taengah mi doeh caeh ai boeh.
19 Drought and heat consume the snow waters, so does Sheol those who have sinned. (Sheol h7585)
Ni kabae hoi khokhaahaih mah dantui amkawsak baktih toengah, taprong mah kazae kaminawk to amrosak. (Sheol h7585)
20 The womb shall forget him. The worm shall feed sweetly on him. He shall be no more remembered. Unrighteousness shall be broken as a tree.
Zok mah anih to pahnet ueloe, sadong mah anih to rawkcak kahoih ah caa tih; anih to mi mah doeh panoek mak ai boeh; sethaih loe thing baktiah hmawn tih boeh.
21 He devours the barren who do not bear. He shows no kindness to the widow.
Kahoih ai kami loe caa kaak nongpata to pakrong, lamhmai tahmenhaih doeh tawn ai.
22 Yet he preserves the mighty by his power. He rises up who has no assurance of life.
Thacak kami to Sithaw mah a thacakhaih hoiah amrosak; nihcae thacak naah, kaminawk khosak monghaih tawn o ai.
23 He gives them security, and they rest in it. His eyes are on their ways.
Sithaw mah anih to kamongah omsak doeh om tih; toe Angraeng mah a caehhaih loklam to khet parui pae.
24 They are exalted; yet a little while, and they are gone. Yes, they are brought low, they are taken out of the way as all others, and are cut off as the tops of the ears of grain.
Nawnetta thungah ni kasang ah pakoeh o, to pacoengah loe anghmat o boih; atlim ah zaeh tathuk moe, minawk kalah baktiah hinghaih to lak pae pacoengah, cangqui baktiah khaeh o.
25 If it isn't so now, who will prove me a liar, and make my speech worth nothing?"
Vaihi hae tiah om ai nahaeloe, ka thuih ih lok loe amsawn ni, avanghaih tidoeh om ai, tiah mi mah maw amtuengsak thai tih? tiah a thuih.
